I can't park in my garage, and I don't even save on gas—even though I have solar panels—because I can't charge the car due to the fire risk.

Engine turns off while driving down road, have to pull over, restart vehicle to unlock gear shifter. Taken to Deery Iowa City three times to fix the dangerous problem and Deery Iowa City are only resetting the computer and turning off while driving down road continues happening. I have not been provided a safe loaner vehicle for over 12 days in shop. I cannot risk me and my daughter's safety resulting from this dangerous problem refusing to be fixed.

2024 Wrangler RHD. After being parked overnight pushing the start button clicks once as if the battery is weak. A second push of the start button the Jeep starts normally. Also, the clock resets itself 4 hours ahead. The HVAC temperature resets itself to 72 degrees regardless of where it was when parked. When shifting into reverse the backup camera displays a blue screen. Dealership is going to ensure software is current and check the battery. This is an ongoing issue.

On June 1, 2026, software update 68C was performed at the dealership on my 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. On June 6, 2026, at approximately 9:00 a.m., after driving the vehicle for about 25 minutes, I experienced a serious malfunction. While making a turn at a speed of less than 10 mph, the vehicle suddenly and without warning lost throttle and propulsion. It appeared to hesitate as though shifting between electric and gasoline power, and then abruptly and erratically lurched forward, accelerating to what felt like maximum speed. The Jeep struck a chain-link fence, which slowed its movement, but it continued to surge forward. I applied the brakes and attempted to maintain control of the vehicle, but it kept lurching ahead. At no point did the vehicle emit a safety warning, sound an alert, or attempt to stop automatically, even though it normally responds to obstacles when operating properly. I repeatedly attempted to place the vehicle in reverse, but it did not respond. I turned the engine off and back on several times, and only after more than three attempts did the vehicle finally recognize reverse, allowing me to back away from the fence. A man in a truck assisted me and contacted the police. Both the responding police officer and the assisting individual expressed concern about the potential danger, particularly because the vehicle is a 4xe. I am now extremely hesitant and fearful to operate or move the vehicle. The vehicle is available for inspection and has not been inspected yet by dealership or insurance. I have it parked outside of my residence.

The contact owns a 2017 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while traveling at 60 MPH, the vehicle struck a deer. The airbags failed to deploy upon impact. No injuries were reported. No police report was filed. The vehicle remained operable and was driven to the residence. Two days later, the airbag warning light illuminated. The manufacturer was notified and confirmed there were no open recalls or active warranties for the vehicle. The contact was then referred to the NHTSA Hotline to file a report. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.

-Component that has failed is the instrument panel cluster went completely blank. --This results in immediate loss of speedometer, information screen, & all warning lights. - This issue is the exact issue covered in recall #24V-652, however my VIN is not included. - There was no symptoms prior to the failure of the instrument panel. - Our 2022 Jeep wrangler unlimited is in the middle of the active recall years, with the same instrument cluster, and exact same issue as the above recall. I have since messaged with others with the exact same issue during these year models that were not listed in the recall and the repairs have cost in excess of $1300. It very much appears the recall should widen for more vehicles in this range.,

Shortly after a recall repair was completed, I experienced a sudden loss of motive power while driving approximately 45 mph on a public roadway. At the time of the incident, the vehicle had approximately half a tank of gasoline remaining. I observed the high-voltage battery gauge reach approximately 1% state of charge. Immediately after the battery gauge reached that level, the vehicle suddenly lost power and appeared to stall while in motion. I received no warning before the failure occurred. At the time of the event, a battery system failure warning appeared along with a plug icon on the dashboard. I was forced to pull off the roadway and bring the vehicle to a complete stop. The vehicle had to be placed in Park and restarted before it would operate again. Fortunately, there was a safe area available to pull over. Had this occurred in heavier traffic or where there was no safe shoulder, it could have created a serious safety hazard. I returned the vehicle to the dealership. The dealership retained the vehicle for approximately one week but advised they could not duplicate the failure and could not identify a cause. I was told to keep the vehicle charged. My concern is that the incident occurred immediately after the battery gauge reached approximately 1% state of charge. Based on the timing of the event, I am concerned there may be a problem related to the transition from electric/hybrid operation to gasoline engine operation when the high-voltage battery reaches a very low state of charge. I am not claiming this is the cause, only that the timing appears significant. To my knowledge, the vehicle was kept charged during dealership testing, and I do not know whether the battery was allowed to reach the same low state of charge that existed when the failure occurred. A sudden loss of motive power while driving creates a significant safety risk, and I have not received a clear explanation for the cause of the failure or assurance that it will not happen again.

I am submitting this complaint regarding a serious safety defect affecting my 2015 Jeep Wrangler. More than a year ago, the ABS module in my vehicle failed. Since that failure, the ABS warning light, brake warning light, and traction control warning light have remained illuminated. As a result, my vehicle no longer has functioning Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), traction control, electronic stability control functions, or cruise control. The loss of these safety systems significantly increases the risk of an accident, particularly during emergency braking situations, wet road conditions, loose gravel, or any circumstance where wheel lockup or loss of traction may occur. Without ABS, the wheels can lock during hard braking, increasing stopping distance and reducing steering control. Without traction control and stability control, the vehicle is more susceptible to skidding, fishtailing, and loss of control. I have contacted multiple Jeep dealerships seeking repairs. I have consistently been informed that the ABS module required to repair the vehicle is unavailable and has been on indefinite backorder. Dealership personnel have been unable to provide any estimated availability date or permanent repair solution. While researching this issue, I discovered that numerous Jeep Wrangler owners have reported the same ABS module failure. Online forums, dealership service departments, and consumer complaint websites indicate this is a widespread issue affecting many Jeep Wrangler vehicles. Owners have reported waiting several years for replacement modules, with some being told the part is discontinued or unavailable indefinitely. Dealership personnel have been unable to provide any estimated availability date or permanent repair solution. I believe NHTSA should investigate this issue as a potential safety defect affecting Jeep Wrangler models. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate the widespread ABS module failures, the ongoing lack of replacement parts.

I own a 2018 Jeep Wrangler that my 19 year old son drives for college. While driving, the vehicle jerked and became sluggish. There were no warning lights illuminated. I became aware that the front brake rotors had overheated again. I had the front right brake caliber and brake line changed back in 2024 and the issue has recurred this year. I had a local mechanic change the front brake pads and rotors for both front tires and caliber to right front side only in April/2026 and the issue has started again today. The vehicle was taken back to local mechanic to be diagnosed again. He stated that the brake fluid was unable to properly bleed through the brake line restricting air to fully purge from the hydraulic system, which can result in incomplete bleeding, reduced braking performance, uneven pad wear, brake drag, or brake fade and is part of the reason for burning smell near right front tire. He added that car isn’t safe to drive in this condition due to safety concerns of accidents due to inability to properly brake or even a fire. Vehicle hasn’t been repaired due to cost and I will attempt to contact manufacturer. The initial mileage reading when this issue occurred in 2024 was 90,000 miles. The mileage as of this complaint is 112,392.

I own a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Sahara JKU with approximately 67,000 miles. The vehicle has experienced a failure involving the ABS control module and related braking/stability systems. Current symptoms include: * ABS warning light illuminated * Brake warning light illuminated * Traction control warning light illuminated * Intermittent speedometer malfunction * Brake pedal occasionally vibrates and becomes soft during operation * Vehicle hesitates for several seconds when accelerating from a stopped position while dashboard warning lights flash The vehicle has been diagnosed by two separate Jeep repair facilities as having a failed ABS control module. I have been informed that replacement ABS modules for this vehicle have been unavailable for approximately nine months and remain unavailable as of today. This appears to be a widespread issue affecting Jeep Wrangler JK vehicles, with many owners reportedly unable to obtain replacement safety-critical ABS modules through Mopar or dealership networks. Because the ABS and traction/stability systems are malfunctioning, the vehicle cannot pass inspection and is unsafe for my family of four, especially during rain or emergency braking situations. This issue affects federally mandated vehicle safety systems, including anti-lock braking and electronic stability control. Owners should not be left without access to replacement parts for critical safety equipment for extended periods of time.

I own a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4XE High Altitude (VIN: [XXX]) with three open safety recalls, two of which involve fire hazards: NHTSA ID 25V741000 – High Voltage Battery May Fail and Cause Fire (parts available) NHTSA ID 25V766000 – Engine Failure May Cause Fire or Loss of Drive Power (parts not available) 2.0L PHEV Engine recall (parts not available) I have been trying to schedule a recall repair appointment for several days. The dealership failed to confirm parts availability, gave no clear answers, and ultimately hung up on me during our conversation. Despite the NHTSA website confirming that parts for recall 25V741000 are available, the dealership was unable to schedule an appointment and provided no solution. I am being forced to drive a vehicle with an active fire hazard while the dealership refuses to take responsibility or provide timely service. This is a serious safety concern and I am requesting immediate action. The dealership has shown complete disregard for customer safety and has failed to fulfill its obligation to complete open safety recalls in a timely manner. The ABS module failed in summer 2025. We took the Jeep to the mechanic who was unable to source a new part. The part has been on backorder now for over a year. We cannot get the Jeep inspected because of the break safety issue. The Jeep has no ABS if emergency breaking. Several warning lights are constantly on when operating the Jeep.

I have had multiple issues and repairs completed including two recalls for the battery. Two repairs to the flapper in ac system and damper in front end replaced under 24000 miles. I have had two radios and amp replaced and now need another being it does the same as before and never works when I try to use usb and over heats my phone, which the dealership has been non compliant with warranty being they either state I can’t duplicate or do not produce full history reports. I have had three dealership make repairs in the last 2 years and it is now approaching 36000 and they are aware of the reoccurring issues. I have been instructed not to charge in or near a my home but that is why I bought the hybrid for the electric as well. They keep stating they have no loaners and I would be without my vehicle for over two days just for diagnostics. They have had the jeep in the shop and stated the radio had turned itself on when Jeep was not on. There are definitely many electrical issues connecting these things and it is just being pushed off by Stellantis. Now there looks to be a stress crack in front windshield I am taking to a windshield company as there are no visible rock chips just crack from bottom 1/4 way up and running.
