Fuel injector went bad causing vehicle engine to misfire and shake rapidly. Check engine light is on. The vehicle only has 40,000 miles on it. Seems to be a very common concern for this make and model and roughly the same years. Will not accelerate instantly and will surge a bit when it does. Will still shake when the vehicle is idle.

Rear, middle seat belt will not latch. Upon the first need, June 2026, of having to have five people in the 2024 Tucson we discovered that the rear, middle seat belt would not latch. This created an unsafe situation of driving in downtown Houston with an occupant being unable to be safely restrained in the rear, middle seat. Dealer has confirmed a defective rear, middle seat belt, but will not repair under warranty. Dealer claims the seat belt was damaged by the folding down rear seat.

On August 26, 2026, while driving to work, my 2022 Hyundai Tucson unexpectedly lost power and shut down while the vehicle was being driven. This created a serious safety concern because the vehicle became inoperable while in traffic. This vehicle has had a history of repeated problems and has been taken to Hyundai dealerships for repairs on numerous occasions. Despite these previous dealership visits and repair attempts, the vehicle continues to experience problems. The latest incident, in which the vehicle shut down while being driven, has significantly increased my concern regarding the safety and reliability of the vehicle. The vehicle is being made available for inspection and diagnosis. At this time, the exact component or cause of the failure is unknown. I am requesting that this complaint be documented because of the sudden loss of power while driving and the vehicle's history of repeated dealership visits and repairs. I am concerned that this condition could cause a crash if the vehicle unexpectedly loses power again while traveling in traffic or at highway speeds.

While driving, the infotainment screen (to the right of the driver) begins to flicker. Often if turns completely black and reboots. On at least one occasion, it did not come back on at all for the remainder of the trip. The flickering movement is extremely distracting. The loss of navigation is obviously a problem if you don't know where you are and were relying on it. It is dangerous, could result in injury or death, and should trigger a recall. Hyundai dealerships have NO IDEA how to fix it. They replaced the entire screen module, which did not make a bit of difference.

I was driving at a low speed (10-15mph) with a safe distance between me and the vehicle in front of me when the semi truck in front came to an abrupt stop. I reacted appropriately by pressing on the brake, however, my car accelerated into the vehicle instead. None of the emergency brake systems activated including the automatic emergency braking and front collision warning, which lead to my car driving into the semi-truck.

Reverse and front cameras are not functioning. When put in reverse, no camera view is shown and when put back in drive, no camera is shown. Also, no cameras work for parking assistance. Screen says "No Camera Signal". This is occurring every time I put it in reverse or park. Car has 750 miles on it and is 3 weeks old.

My cameras (front and back) show blue or green signal error screens intermittently. Dealer was not able to replicate, so basically told me to bring it back when it happens all the time. Google search told me that this is a widespread problem, some dealer somewhere must have been able to replicate the issue. Unable to use cameras to monitor for traffic and/or pedestrians. A few examples of when this has happened this morning: Backing out of my driveway, rear camera working, go to drive, front camera green screen. Parallel parking, rear and front cameras not working. Pulling into parking space, front goes to green screen about half way. Backing out of parking space, green screen.

I have a 2017 Hyundai Tucson with a 1.6 turbo engine, and I have been experiencing massive oil consumption. Oil is coming out of the tail pipe with occasional big puff of smoke out of the tailpipe. Skipping and hesitation during acceleration, rough cold start, I have previously had the check engine light on with a multiple misfire code. I changed the plugs and the coils, and it did not resolve the problems. I then took it to the mechanic, and he told me that the car has to go to Hyundai because these are known problems with my particular motor. I took it to Balise Hyundai in Hyannis Mass. and was told that they know about these motor issues but could not help me because the engine light was not on.' If the light comes on, then bring it back and we will check it out'.I was then told that any work performed would be my responsibility to pay for it out of my pocket. If it a known problem by Hyundai, then I think that a recall or something should be posted so customers are not stuck with a very big service bill. Any help to get my vehicle running the way it was designed to would be greatly appreciated. Apparently, there are no recalls or campaigns about these issues on my vehicle even though they are well known to Hyundai

Two instances of the center screen malfunctioning. One was an intermittent blip of the screen turning black and then turning back on while driving. Additionally, during this same instance of the intermittent blip of the screen turning off for about 3 seconds, my headlights which are set to auto also turned off while I was driving at night and then blipped back on when the screen came back at the same time. Second instance, the center screen was black and never came on when the car was initially turned on and the screen remained black for the entirety of my drive until the car was fully turned off and then back on. Yes, this is available for inspection upon request. Safety was put at risk by losing headlight visibility at night highly increasing the chances of an accident as well as losing important carplay navigational directions on center screen. Problem has been reproduced as these issues both occurred within one week (the week of August 16-23, 2026). The vehicle has not been inspected. During the time of both events there were no warning lamps or messages that appeared.

- #11759064August 24, 2026SERVICE BRAKES, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
My wife was driving my SUV while I was a passenger. We were in the left lane, and put the left turn signal on while traveling south bound approaching an intersection to take a left turn (traveling approximately 3-5 Miles Per Hour and slowing) at the traffic light (traffic light was green). There was a car in front of us that had stopped waiting for oncoming traffic to clear and make the same left turn onto the same road as us. While traveling in this lane we hit a deep pot hole (not very visible while driving), just as we were approaching the vehicle stopped in front of us. When hitting the pot hole, our SUV seemed to leap forward a bit and when the brakes were applied to slow and stop, the braking system failed (appeared to freeze) and the brakes did not work, and because the braking didn’t work, our vehicle hit the car in front of us. Prior to and after hitting the pothole, no audible warning sounds or visible alerts appeared and no emergency braking was activated. The airbags in our vehicle never deployed. Our safety (my wife and I) as well as the safety of the 2 passengers in the other vehicle were at risk as we all could have been injured in the accident. As we needed the vehicle for transportation, we immediately began filing all the necessary police and insurance reports and brought our vehicle into an Auto Body Repair Shop to be repaired the next day. During the repair work, some of the responsible components may or may not have been replaced and the Auto Body Repair Shop also had all the car sensors recalibrated by a 3rd party, which is why we did not bring the car to a dealership to evaluate. To the best of our knowledge, the manufacturer, the police and the insurance company did not inspect the vehicle. We are not experts, but hitting a pothole might be considered an edge case, so I’m not sure that a dealership would have tried or been able to replicate the issue.

The instrument cluster malfunctioned suddenly leaving the control panel completely black (no odometer, speedometer, speed range, turn signal indicators, etc.). The driver was therefore unable to know what speed they were driving, how much fuel remained, and lacked any sort of signal that turn signals/blinkers were on or off. It was unsafe to drive and impossible to accurately comply with legal speed limits. Local Hyundai dealership inspected the car and confirmed that the cluster had to be replaced, which they did (required 11 total days of being unable to use the car).

2024 Hyundai Tucson SEL Convenience Hybrid Recall:Hyundai Campaign 290/NHSTA 23V-187 (subsequent Tucson tow harness fire recalls) My vehicle was brought into an authorized Hyundai dealership to address the safety hazard associated with the accessory tow hitch wiring harness recall. The dealership resolved the immediate fire hazard by completely disconnecting and removing the functional trailer wiring harness from my vehicle. My physical repair invoice explicitly states: "repair complete-disconnected the positive connector and removed OEM harness from the vehicle, installing a dust cap." No replacement harness was installed. Because this physical removal occurred, Hyundai's internal corporate warranty system has offically marked the safety recall as "Closed" and completed for my VIN. However, the manufacturer has failed to provide a safe, functional remedy to restore the vehicle's advertised and purchased towing utility. When checking with Hyundai Customer Care, I am told the redesigned waterproof harness (Part #CWF61-AU100) cannot be ordered or allocated to my vehicle because the computer systems views the safety risk as resolved and the recall closed. I called Findlay Hyundai in St. George to see if they had the part number CWF61-AU100, he said he did not but Ontario had some & could get the part in a few days. The manufacturer's remedy is inadequate. By permanently removing a functional utility to satisfy a safety metric, without providing a safe, operating replacement part. Hyundai has effectively disabled the towing capabilities of my vehicle without offering a true remedy. I am requesting that NHSTA compel Hyundai to reopen or provide a distinct parts-allocation path for vehicles that had their wiring harness removed rather than replaced. The DAW system goes off numerous times during any trip. Many times within 10 minutes of stating out. the constant annoying warning telling me to take a break when I just did puts me on edge. It went off about 30-40 times during a recent 2 day trip. At some point you just swear at the thing and want to rip the dam camera off the steering wheel. This is not the kind of attitude you want while driving long distances. I have driven over a million miles with no accidents in the last 50 years and I don't need a device to tell me to "take a break" every 15 minutes. This "feature" makes me a worse driver not a better one. I am tall and wear corrective glasses, perhaps that is the problem.... I can't change either of those, the car has to adapt to the driver. Please either get rid of this or allow the drive to "tune' the sensitivity to their needs.

My 2025 Hyundai Tucson (VIN [XXX]) has been out of service since [XXX] (over 60 days) at CMA’s Colonial Hyundai in South Chesterfield, Virginia, waiting for a front camera related to safety Recall 302 (NHTSA Campaign 26V316 – Front View Camera FCA Update). The dealership previously replaced the front camera, but the issue was not resolved. They then ordered a new camera that remains on backorder with no firm ETA. I have been provided a rental during this time. Hyundai assigned Case #[XXX]. I have provided formal written notice under Virginia lemon law demanding a buyback because the vehicle has been out of service far beyond the 30-day threshold. The safety-related defect remains unrepaired. COMPONENT: Infotainment main display screen. Still installed and available for inspection. FAILURE: The screen intermittently flickers, then goes blank with static. Occurs at unpredictable intervals including while driving. Ongoing and unrepaired. SAFETY RISK: The display is centered in the dashboard and houses the backup camera and vehicle controls. Flickering and static while driving creates a visual distraction, and the backup camera is unavailable when the screen goes blank. The malfunction now occurs often enough that it interferes with normal driving. REPRODUCED BY DEALER: Not reproduced during any service visit. Reported to three Hyundai dealerships: Pedder Hyundai, San Diego (May 2025): could not replicate, but accepted my video evidence and ordered parts. I relocated before the repair was completed. Hyundai Mountain View, CA ([XXX]): could not replicate. Declined to perform a diagnostic or open a warranty claim despite the same video evidence. Stevens Creek Hyundai, Santa Clara (Invoice [XXX], Aug 18-20 2026): road tested, unable to verify. Found stored code c2a2397, history in front camera menu. Infotainment software at current level. Road tested 94 miles without recurrence. Technician wrote: "If issue re-occurs, we recommend returning the vehicle to us for further diagnosis." No cause identified, no repair performed. Charged $315. I have provided video of the screen failing while driving to the dealerships and to Hyundai Motor America. INSPECTED BY MANUFACTURER: Inspected by the three dealerships above. Case opened with Hyundai Motor America Consumer Assistance in June 2026, unresolved with no written determination. Not inspected by police or insurance. WARNING LAMPS: None. No dashboard messages accompany the failure and it occurs without prior indication. First observed approximately May 2025, within weeks of delivery (delivered [XXX]). Current mileage 21,389.
