There are 2 recalls on this car. A gearbox and power steering rack, the dealer has not replaced either one of them. They greased the power steering rack, and that's it. When steering to the right or left, there's a very large grinding sound and they are stating that it did not come from a power steering rack, faulty, they didn't even check the power steering rack or the gearbox, all they did was grease the power steering rack. I want this remedied, my daughter drives this car and there's something going on with the power steering rack, and it is starting to affect other issues in the car, tie rods, bearings etc and that's not fair. The manufacturer should be replacing these items. Steering components are a huge safety issue in this car and the manufacturer at the dealership will not replace these items.

Both fuel pumps failed and were replaced. The parts were saved for inspection upon request. My car shut down while I was accelerating on the entry ramp to a major highway. If it had not been for my skilled driving and fast thinking, a major accident with injuries would have occurred. The mechanic who fixed my car said this was the 12th one he has repaired. The vehicle was not inspected by anyone from Honda but we did save all the old parts so that it could be verified. There were absolutely no warning lights, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. Honda has a recall for this exact problem, for this exact same car but the VIN for my car has not been released yet because they are doing it increments, apparently. What doesn't make sense is that they don't agree to accept responsibility for this recall on the cars that have broken down and been diagnosed with this recall because the VIN hasn't been released yet! This is a $1900 repair that I had to come out of pocket for and I need to be reimbursed in order to payback the money borrowed to pay for the repair. Can you somehow help with this problem. I have the receipts for the repair but don't have them with me at the office where I am sending this message. I can provide them if you need me to but the total amount paid for the repair was $1984.

The air conditioning system failed—specifically, the A/C evaporator developed a leak and stopped functioning. This is part of the same system that previously experienced failures in the compressor and condenser, both of which were replaced under warranty. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Loss of air conditioning, especially in hot weather, presents a heat-related safety risk, including reduced driver alertness and potential heat exhaustion—particularly for long drives or when transporting vulnerable passengers (e.g. children, elderly). Additionally, a non-functioning defogger (which relies on the A/C system) can impair visibility in humid or rainy conditions, increasing the risk of an accident.

The steering on my 2019 Honda Civic has gotten progressively "sticky" when driving at all speeds but it is worse at highway speeds (50-75 mph). I have experienced several close calls lately when the steering wheel sticks when turning into a highway curve and causes my car to veer into the oncoming traffic lane. I took my vehicle into the local Honda dealer service department and they told me they would have to replace the entire steering gearbox at a cost of $4,250.00 due to a manufacturing defect. They said my car is out of warranty range at 54258 miles and there is no recall from Honda to pay the repair cost. I cannot afford that excessive cost and now am forced to drive an unsafe vehicle.

Body Control Module The part was detected by Honda agency and they changed it because the battery was discharging. This Honda part already had problems with another model, but I don't want to admit that it also has them with the Civic models. The repair has a cost of $1000

I brought my car to the dealership Honda North at 382 Newbury Street in Danvers MA on 6/5/25 to repair NHTSA Recall number 23V-858. The vehicle was returned to me on 6/7/25 at which time I was told the interior would have a strong fuel smell for 1-2 days, but that would disappear. After 4 days, the fuel smell worsened and the "Check Engine" light had come on. On 6/11/25 I returned the vehicle to Honda North. When I picked up the vehicle several days later, the fuel odor was minimal, and the check engine light was off. Today [XXX], the check engine light is back on. I plan to call Honda North to schedule what will be my 3rd visit to Honda North for this safety recall repair, which clearly is not being repaired properly, and putting me in further danger of crash or injury. The steering wheel starts to get sticky on freeway after roughly AFTER 45 mins drive, that gives me harder to follow the lane or make a lane change either to the left or right side. My wife experiences that issue for years, she had not brought that into my attention until two weeks ago we took our 2016 Honda Civic for trip to California and I was a driver. I have heard lots of complaints related Power Steering Rack issues on Honda lately. Please consider this is a serious problem.

I have a 2016 Civic LX, and the steering is sticking when on center when the vehicle has been driving for a while/is warmed up. I have read multiple instances and reports of this issue and the EPS/rack being the culprit even when this car was released 10 years ago. There was never a bulletin or a recall for this model year but it is the same issue for the 2022-2025 model years, and it is frustrating that it is still occurring. It requires more pressure than needed to move the wheel and then it jerks as it comes loose causing need to over correction. This is very unsettling when traveling at highway speeds. I purchased the vehicle in late September of 2024, and I believe the vehicle was doing it then but i did not recognize the issue and it wasn't consistent, especially as temps were cold. The issue has gotten worse, especially as the warm weather is coming around.

The contact owns a 2021 Honda Civic. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH, the electronic power steering assist was not functioning properly, requiring an increased effort to maneuver the vehicle. The vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. The VIN was not available.

I bought my car from Honda Civic on colerain avenue Cincinnati Ohio in 2023. In December 2024 I started having issue with my driver assistant technologies. My driver assistant technologies lights started flashing . As they were flashing none of my assistant technologies were working. When they finally went off it gave me a message to call the dealer. Which I did immediately. They told me to bring my vehicle in and they would check it. Service department calibrated the camera on the windshield. Picked my vehicle up about a month and a half after it happened again. Brought my vehicle in for the second time to the service department. Picked my [XXX] up for the second time. About a month and a half to two months and happen again. Vehicle in for the third time. They stated that it was a windshield that I had replaced by someone outside of Honda. They said I had to have my windshield replaced and also the camera by them. It cost me $1,000 for the windshield the camera was not charged to me. At this point it was like a guessing game. Picking my vehicle up for the third time. 2 months after picking it up the third time it did it again on [XXX]. I am looking for another Honda dealer to take it to to see if they could figure out what it's going on with that. I have all of my receipts. They can't seem to fix it at Honda Civic on colerain. I was told that if they couldn't fix that I would have to keep my vehicle as is. This is a safety hazard all I'm asking for is to have my vehicle and working condition. That is not happening. While driving my 2021 Honda Civic Sport, both front airbags deployed without warning and without any accident or impact. There were no warning lights beforehand, and no collision occurred. The deployment also caused my windshield to crack. After the airbags went off, the dashboard displayed a ‘SRS airbag system problem’ message. This is a serious safety concern as the vehicle was operating normally at the time. I’m requesting that this be investigated as a potential manufacturer defect
