On 11/18/2025, while driving my 2014 Honda Accord 2.4L (VIN: [XXX] ), I experienced a sudden and dangerous safety failure. Without any warning, the steering became extremely hard and almost locked, making it nearly impossible to turn or control the vehicle. At the same moment, several warning indicators appeared on the dashboard, including: ABS warning VSA warning Brake System warning Because of this failure, the vehicle became unsafe to operate, and I was forced to stop. I could not continue driving due to the risk of losing control of the car. When I checked the recall information online, the system showed that my VIN has an active recall notification, but when I took my vehicle to the dealership (Victory Honda of Plymouth), they informed me that my specific issue is not covered under that recall, even though the symptoms match known ABS/VSA safety failures. The dealership stated that they will not repair the ABS/VSA issue unless I pay out of pocket, despite the steering nearly locking and the vehicle becoming unsafe. Since this involves loss of steering control, it represents a major safety hazard that could lead to a crash. I am requesting an investigation and guidance on whether this failure should be considered a safety-related repair and whether my VIN should be reviewed for inclusion in the recall, given the severity of the incident. The contact owned a 2025 Honda Accord Hybrid. The contact stated that while driving approximately 5 MPH and making a right turn onto the driveway, the vehicle unintendedly pulled to the left. The contact stated that while attempting to turn the steering wheel back to the intended direction, the vehicle accelerated unintendedly, and the brakes and the steering wheel were inoperable. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle crashed through the garage door, hit cabinets on the side, and drove on top of the cabinets, 3 inches from the ground, and stopped. The driver's side and passenger's side knee air bags deployed. The contact stated that the driver's side knee air bag deployed and broke the plastic underneath the dashboard, which injured the contact's legs. The emergency call (eCall) system activated and connected the contact with an operator, who then called an ambulance and the police on the contact's behalf. A police report was filed. Both the contact and her husband, who was occupying the front passenger's side seat, were transported to the Emergency Room by ambulance. The contact sustained Hematomas on both legs, and the contact's legs were swollen. The contact was admitted for 5 days and was discharged to a rehabilitation center. The contact's husband did not sustain any serious injuries. The vehicle insurance company towed the vehicle to a tow yard. The dealer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the manufacturer. The manufacturer advised the contact that the vehicle insurance company would need to file a claim with the manufacturer; however, the insurance company had already deemed the vehicle a total loss and had sold the parts of the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 5,300.

I purchased my Accord Sport Hybrid in October 2022. Within several months and intermittently thereafter, I would receive an alert to BRAKE on my dashboard--and most of the time, there would be no object in front of the vehicle. In the last 3 years since the purchase, there have been one or two times when the alert appeared and the vehicle actually slowed down spontaneously--much to my surprise. I spoke to the dealer, but was informed there was no recall about this issue. Now I am reading that Accord Hybrids 2023-25 are being recalled for this very problem! So, I am filing this notice because I believe my 2022 Accord Hybrid is also impacted and I would like this to be addressed. It is clearly a safety issue.

My infotainment screen randomly registers phantom/ghost touches while I’m driving. It changes audio sources, turns the volume up, switches screens, opens apps, places phone calls on its own (including to coworkers), and becomes completely unresponsive to my actual touch inputs. It will also jump between menus and navigation screens without me touching anything. This takes my eyes off the road and has nearly caused multiple accidents. The dealership has already replaced the entire touchscreen unit, but the problem continues exactly the same. They told me Honda uses a third-party manufacturer for these units and that there is no known fix. Honda Care also has no resolution and sent me back to the dealership, creating a loop with no actual repair path. Both Honda and the dealer acknowledge this is a known issue affecting many Honda Accord owners, but no permanent fix exists. The system makes random phone calls, changes the map and audio menus while I’m driving, interferes with navigation, and prevents me from ending calls or controlling the screen. This is a major distraction and a direct safety hazard. The defect persists even after parts replacement. I am reporting this because it is a widespread, well-documented issue that Honda has not resolved, and it has the potential to cause serious accidents.

After having fuel pump replaced by recall at random times dashboard will light up with all system lights, car will go into limp mode and loose power for a few seconds and then I am able to resume driving. Extremely scary as there is no warning. This has happened both on the freeway at high rates of speed and on neighborhood roadways. Safety has been compromised several times and Honda dealer is not able to reproduce the issue, retrieve any warning codes or offer any assistance. This has randomly been occurring for several months. When not having this exact issue car runs with no other issues.

This is an ongoing problem - -- On startup, the vehicle reports 4 system warnings that shut off the cruise control and ABS brakes as well as the other safety systems. This is an intermittent problem. -- The dealer states that the camera is dead and wants $2,500 to replace and calibrate it. This is a common response from dealers I see in all the forums. -- I have found a work-around that is not documented in forums yet. -- If we keep our foot on the brake until after the electronics start sequence finishes, no errors EVERY TIME -- If we take our foot off the brake when the car starts, but before the electronics finish, we get errors every time. This is a dangerous, high-frequency, extremely expensive problem if we follow the dealers suggestions. I do not know what the root cause is, but I know it is not a $2,500 problem. And, I am very concerned about the people driving without the safety features due to the excessive and unnecessary cost.

Car swerved to the left unexpectedly causing it to do a 180 degree turn and impact the drivers side. Side airbags deployed and emergency response was initiated. Prior to the swerve in question, the car had experienced about 6 smaller swerves that we attributed initially to a wind gust. All of the swerves felt like a strong wind was hitting the drivers side rear quarter area. The Estimate of repair for the insurance company indicates damage to Left Lower Control Arm, Left Trailing Arm, and Left Upper Control Arm.

The problem I am having with my vehicle Honda accord 2018 is with the head gasket. I was on the highway and as I was driving suddenly all the signs came on the display and gave a warning that my vehicle is overheating and it came down to 20mph while I was on the highway. This was very risky to me and the other vehicle around me. Then when I took it to the dealership to diagnose they said it is a head gasket failure. The repairs they have recommended are very expensive and after researching this problem it shows this is a very common problem Honda vehicles are having. This is a manufacture problem which they should have a recall on hence with such expensive repair and I only have 93K miles on my vehicle. I always thought Hondas were the best vehicle going long term and as I am first time owner and this being my first vehical brand new I am very disappointed with the problem I have been facing with my vehicle.

I was driving in my car cut off in the middle of the highway. I was able to coast to side of the road. I took my car to the Honda accord dealership after that and was told it was my head gasket. After that repair, my car cut off once again. I took it back to Honda and was told that I now needed to replace the turbo charger which I’m unable to pay for after paying several thousands of dollar for the head gasket.

I became the 2nd owner of this car. My ownership had been a blessing because of the 1st owner having such a profound history of care and maintained. I randomly had a misfire in my cylinder 2. I took my car to EL Cerrito Honda in El Cerrito, Ca. After my car came from this dealership all kinds of different things begun to take place. Ive never put cameras or listening devices of any sort, nothing that was not made with my car should have been added or changed to its original make. The PCM/ECM was reset by the HDS system which has played a part in the illegal malfunctions of its systems. I have been robbed, Followed and watched from inside my car which i HAVE NEVER given anyone consent to have access to my private life. This has been 9 months of my car misfiring, Capital City Honda in Sacamento,Ca had done the same repair and did not sign the release of liability that El Cerrito Honda issued for the return of my 275.00$ diagnoses but the 571.00 paid for the work done they kept. The Bureau Of Automotive Repair told me to contact The NHTSA for the complaint against Honda Motors for Laws/Regulations. My car has become a safety liability to myself and other drivers lives because of its mechanical and electrical altering without my consent and laws broken by the State of California Vehicle Codes and Pen code 637.7.

This 2017 Honda Accord has recently been making very loud static noises from the speakers. It gets so loud and the only way to turn it off is to turn off the engine and restart. The static noise always comes back though, so this is clearly a safety issue. On youtube, there are many people saying this same issue. I cannot upload my video, so here is one example: [XXX] My static is twice as loud as the one on this video. Thank you. Frequently when maneuvering at very slow speeds to park in a tight spot, the steering wheel shudders significantly when turning the wheel all the way. This is different from the standard, variable resistance the steering provides at different speeds.
