VSA Module failure There appears to be thousands of owners of Honda Accords 2013 that have this component fail. It appears that the country of Thailand was able to get Honda to do a recall on this part in their country. The repair cost is is greater than $4,000 (USD). Please research this issue and force Honda to recall this part.

Oct.6 2026 Driving down Burbank Bl the car braked on its own with a huge jolt. I felt my neck whip. There was no danger of hitting a car in front and the weather was clear. The car behind me almost hit me. Oct.7, 2026 Driving up Magnolia bl with a passenger the car again braked unexpectedly jolting us whipping our necks. There was no danger of collision and there was no reason for the car to brake. Both times the orange brake light lit up on the dash. I will be taking the car in to the dealer. I became aware there's a federal investigation for this happening with multiple cars. I will also be going to the urgent care with my passenger tonight as the neck pain has increased.

I dropped off the vehicle at Thousand Oaks Honda to fix the safety recall on Monday September 28, 2026. Recall Number: TN2 XNT XP2. While they are trying to fix the recall at the dealer's place Software crash happened in the middle of the process according to the Hyde who handled my case in the front office. The whole vehicle is not operatable. They tried to fix in on the same day but failed. I was returned back the vehicle on 30th, September, 2026 with the attached certificate for DMV(Case #[XXX]) approval for the new year registration. When my wife & her sister while driving the vehicle in the busy street in Simi Valley yesterday [XXX] evening around [XXX] The car suddenly stopped in middle of the street in the traffic with so many messages on the front screen of the vehicle, they are about to take [XXX] freeway in few minutes. With the help of a people the vehicle is pushed to near by gas station. Then it was towed by Honda USA to Thousand Oaks Honda dealership. By keeping my vehicle nearly 3 days at Thousand Oaks Honda, they were unable to take my vehicle in suitable operational state without safety issue. The driving of this vehicle is safety issue & fatal incidents could have happened if it operates in the middle of the freeway at that time. This vehicle has safety issues in driving California roads INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I attempted to contact McConnell Honda in montgomery alabama; which is now Cannon Honda Montgomery about my 2006 Honda accord v6. To my understanding there was a recall for the power steering feed hose. I don't recall being contacted when the recall was issued. My last attempts to get my car scheduled was October 2, 2026 and October 3,2026. Now the pump has seized and broken my drive belt. I need assistance with getting clarification about the time frame of issued recalls being fixed by dealership /Honda certified shop. The failure of pump now caused another issue. My car now is inoperable.

I own a 2019 Honda Accord Touring 2.0T with approximately 75,500 miles. I brought the vehicle to Ryan Honda in Monroe, Louisiana, for Honda Campaign 26-091, which involved a software update to the ACC/CMBS Honda Sensing system. Before this campaign was performed, the vehicle had no ABS, VSA, brake-system, adaptive-cruise-control, collision-mitigation, or related warning messages. Approximately six hours after the dealer completed Campaign 26-091, multiple braking, stability-control, and driver-assistance warning lights/messages appeared. I returned the vehicle to Ryan Honda. The dealership diagnosed a failed VSA modulator/control unit and initially quoted approximately $1,785 for replacement. Because the failure appeared only hours after Honda performed software work involving interconnected driver-assistance and braking systems, I questioned whether the recall procedure, programming process, electrical conditions during programming, or resulting module communication could have contributed. The matter was escalated to a Honda representative, who reportedly consulted Honda engineering. I was told Honda engineering determined that Campaign 26-091 and the VSA modulator failure were completely unrelated and that the software update could not have caused the failure. Honda subsequently offered to install a used VSA modulator, reducing my cost to approximately $650. I understand that timing alone does not prove causation. However, I believe the extremely close timing between Campaign 26-091 and the sudden appearance of multiple safety-system failures warrants investigation. I am asking NHTSA to document this incident and determine whether other Honda vehicles receiving Campaign 26-091 have experienced similar ABS, VSA, brake-system, or Honda Sensing failures shortly after the software update.

- #11769767October 7, 2026FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ENGINE
The car hesitates upon acceleration and when it “misses” enough it will flash the engine on the dashboard, and not allow any further acceleration, going into “limp mode”. All the safety controls error on the message center and dashboard warnings all come on, even though it’s only the acceleration/transmission that’s affected. Not sure if it’s fuel injectors or a computer issue, but it’s absolutely dangerous upon entering a highway and hoping to not have system failures, that result in limp mode. I’ve been carrying a 10 mm socket for disconnecting the battery and rebooting the system, when needed. It only helps for a short while.

Reporting fraudulent safety recall compliance & hazardous repair by Honda of Manhasset (Invoice #317524). 1. Recall 23V-858 (Fuel Pump): Dealership registered recall as completed & Service Manager verbally insisted it was done. However, my vehicle's continuous dashcam footage proves fuel pump replacement was NEVER performed. Faced with video evidence, the advisor admitted work wasn't done because the part was out of stock, claiming a "billing error." Invoice reprint says "RECALL NOT PERFORMED, PART NOT IN STOCK" yet they initially processed it, leaving an immediate engine stall risk. 2. Software Campaign & Radar Failure (Service Bulletin 21-068): Dealership performed mandatory Honda Sensing update for Millimeter Wave Radar, wiping old calibration parameters. Per Bulletin 21-068 (Pg 3), the repair is NOT complete until the radar is re-calibrated & the warning light disappears. Instead of performing the radar aiming, the technician left safety systems locked with DTC P2583-76. I authorized a $215 diagnostic fee, but despite having the scanner connected during the update, the technician failed to follow Honda's official troubleshooting protocol to resolve the code and finish the calibration, returning the vehicle with disabled emergency braking features. 3. False Physical Diagnosis: Staff verbally claimed the radar bracket was "bent" to blame a prior impact. Challenged for physical proof, they admitted performing NO physical inspection, stating they "assumed" it was bent solely because the scanner showed P2583-76. This is a blatant lie to cover up their failure to follow factory troubleshooting workflow for this specific DTC, which dictates aiming the radar, not fabricating physical damage to justify leaving the safety repair incomplete.

head unit touch screen will occasionally, uncontrollably create multiple phantom touches all over the screen, multiple per second continuously. driver cannot resolve while in motion. driver cannot cannot click away while the issue is occurring as the issue seems to mask real input. very distracting not only visually, but hearing as well. worst case the car could inadvertently contact emergency services via phones or cars sos capabilities. occurs at any / all speeds. multiple reported issues online and honda has done nothing.

The vehicle is a 2016 Honda Accord Coupe. The exact failed component is UNKNOWN, but the malfunction appears to involve the vehicle’s audio system, amplifier, Active Noise Cancellation system, or a related electrical/audio component. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. When the vehicle is started, the audio system initially operates normally. After approximately one minute, a loud abnormal/distorted noise begins coming through the vehicle’s speakers. The noise continues even when the audio volume is turned all the way down to zero and also continues when the infotainment/audio system is turned off. Because the noise is not controlled by the normal audio volume or infotainment controls, I am concerned that the malfunction may be occurring elsewhere in the vehicle’s audio or electrical system. The sudden and persistent noise creates a safety concern because it occurs while I’m driving and startles and distracts me from safely operating the vehicle. The exact cause of the malfunction has not been confirmed. The problem has not yet been reproduced or diagnosed by a Honda dealer or independent service center. The vehicle/component has not been inspected by Honda, police, insurance representatives, or another outside party in connection with this problem. There were no warning lamps or dashboard warning messages before the malfunction. The primary symptom is that the audio initially functions normally and then the abnormal noise begins approximately one minute after startup. The noise persists regardless of the audio volume setting and even when the infotainment system is turned off. I have video documentation showing the malfunction, including the abnormal noise continuing with the audio volume at zero and with the infotainment system turned off. The video is available upon request. The exact defective component and cause are UNKNOWN at this time.

I was driving on an interstate in Florida on vacation while using my GPS which was showing on my cars screen. As I was following directions the screen went blank. This caused me to not know which exit to take as it came across exits and while cars following behind me the lost of GpS guidance in the mist of it giving me a direction caused a panic. I use GPS systems all the time and that was the reason the car was purchased because of the gps system and screen. I have been having issues with this screen going out several times and have reported to my dealership and even wrote a letter to Honda’s main office. I was advised by the main office that this is a known issue and there is no fix for it at this time. I have been told by the dealership since I purchased the car in 2023 maybe after 2 months of having the car I experienced issues with this car and screen. It goes blank and volume controls stop working and all I’ve heard from them is it is a known issue when no fix at this time. This issue could have caused me to get into a bad accident due to face the screen going out without any warning while driving on an unknown interstate with vehicles driving between 70-80 miles per hour.

The drivers side mirror shifts backwards when when hitting 25-30 MPH and forward again when stopping. I have asked the dealer to look at it multiple times when I take the car in for service and the complaint seems to be ignored or skipped over. Anyone that has driven the car in my family has mentioned it and that it is very distracting. We have had the car two and a half years and it has done it ever since. When at home I have moved the mirror by hand with very little effort and it moves about 3/16 of an inch from all the way to the rear to all the way forward. I have even shown this to the service advisor at the dealer.

I was reversing my 2020 Honda accord and the power steering light came on. The power steering and steering wheel was hard. The steering then locked up. I couldn’t move the car. This could have been dangerous of another vehicle was coming. After shifting it back to drive, it went away. Now I am concerned the car may do this problem on the road.

Roughly a month or two after purchasing my 2024 Honda accord hybrid sport, I noticed a chirping noise when driving and a slight steering problem. I took the car in, and they told me that it was the steering rack and they replaced it. About 4 months after that, I noticed that there was a slight steering issue, where I would be in a turn and the wheel would get stuck in that position slightly when turning. I ignored it for a bit, as I was busy with school. A few months went by and it got much worse, to the point where I could let go of the wheel and the car would maintain the wheel. It also pulls and can jerk the car randomly. I got an alignment thinking that would fix it, and that changed nothing. I took the vehicle back to the dealer and was notified that if it was the steering rack again, it would be past its part warranty, which is crazy because a steering rack shouldn’t need replaced in a year.

In May of 2024, We got a recall letter for an inoperable fuel pump from Honda Automobile Division, & we did not get a replacement. They were short on supply, & those who experienced symptoms as engine light and may have rough engine starts were the priorities. We didn’t get a follow up after 60 days when we received the letter. Now my 2018 Accord has an engine light on, and the car starts up roughly.

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that on several occasions at start-up several unknown warning lights remained illuminated. The dealer cleared the warning lights and the contact stated that during the failure the safety features disengaged. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on several occasions to be diagnosed and the contact was informed that the failure was not duplicated, and the warning lights were cleared. However, shortly after leaving the dealer the warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 80,000.
