Certain 2019 – 2023 model year Genesis G70 vehicles may have a Fuel Control Valve (FCV) in the High-Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) assemblies that could allow excess fuel to enter the fuel pump. This condition may result in a reduction or loss of motive power at low speeds. The vehicle will also have Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0088. The warranty coverage for the High-Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) has been extended to 15 years or 150,000 miles from the date of original retail delivery or date of first use and is valid for original and subsequent owners.

Certain 2019-2023MY G70 (IK) vehicles are equipped with high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) assemblies that have fuel control valves (FCV) that could allow excess fuel to enter the fuel pump due to gradual wear of the FCV plunger. An air/fuel mixture that runs too “rich” may result in a reduction or loss of motive power at low speeds. The vehicle will also have Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0088. Genesis is extending warranty coverage for the HPFP under this condition to 15 years or 150,000 miles from the date of original retail delivery or date of first use (whichever occurs first) and is valid for original and subsequent owners.

  Summary

This bulletin provides information on the Integrated LED Control Unit (ILCU) which is now available as a separate service part from the head lamp assembly for certain G70 (IK), GV70 (JK1), GV70 Electrified (JK1a EV), and GV80 (JX1) vehicles. For G70 (IK) vehicles, the ILCU is called LED Drive Module (LDM). In cases where the head lamp assembly needs replacement due to exterior damage such as a cracked lens, broken housing, etc., it is recommended to replace the head lamp sub-assembly only (not the entire head lamp assembly) and reuse the existing ILCU or LDM if no problem is found with it.

  Summary

Hyundai applies a Paint Protection Film (PPF) on new vehicles before delivery to dealerships. It provides a barrier between the paint and contaminants, such as rail dust, acid rain, and industrial fallout. In rare cases, the paint can become clouded under the PPF. These spots are the result of moisture trapped between the PPF and the paint.
