On June1, 2022 Mel Hambelton Ford replaced all 4 door latches do to recall. A few weeks ago I noticed that my 2 back doors were NOT Locking. They would click, but would not lock. Front doors work fine. The New latches they put in are as follows. LF-280720, LR-110820, RR-270914 and, RF-290914. I have attached the dated Invoice. In order to keep the doors from opening, I have taken my backseat belts and looped them through the door handles and fastened them. I am concerned that my car can be broken into do to the malfunction of the back door latches not locking. This is a major safety issue. Please advice as to how I should proceed?

The vehicle suffered a direct rear impact from another vehicle traveling approximately 95 mph while this Ford Fiesta was traveling 60 mph forward. Both front seats were positioned upright with a properly seated driver and a passenger seated whilst turning his body behind the seat. The impact was severe enough to trigger the Ford Fiesta's SOS Post-Crash Alert System. As a result of the impact, both front seats of the vehicle broke free of their positions and reclined backwards. This action of the seats cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle as his hands were stripped from the wheel. The airbags did not deploy. The driver's head flew forward and slammed back hard into the headrest. The vehicle was inspected by a police officer at the scene who commented that the seats had failed. The vehicle was also inspected by an insurance inspector. The vehicle is currently in the possession of Progressive and may be available to inspect. - #11622915October 31, 2024SERVICE BRAKES
Upon stopping when applying the brakes they locked up. There were no warning lights on. It was diagnosed by an independent auto repair shop, not drivable I had it towed to the Ford Dealership. The ABS module, and calipers have failed. I learned there was a recall on these parts but do not apply to my specific vin #. The ABS module is on national back order, likely a month out. I have paid for the part. The service dept quoted new rotors calipers/hose and pads I think this vehicle may need to be added to the recall since it is the exact same failure. Luckily I was in town and not on the interstate when the brake system failed.

Vehicle was traveling on an interstate highway when the oil indicator lamp lit, and the car immediately lost power, putting it in danger of being rear-ended. I researched any recalls and found "Part 573 Safety Recall Report 23V-905", which only covers two different models, the Focus and the Eco Sport, with precisely the same EcoBoost 1.0 Liter engine. I recently sent it to an independent service station to perform that which the recall describes, as a recall notice did not happen, but the service foreman stated it cannot be successfully repaired, as the oiling system was completely compromised, causing catastrophic damage to the valves, cylinders, turbo system, and vacuum pump.
