SummaryThis article supersedes TSB 24-2020 to add minor feature code HUKAJ to the required vehicle criteria. Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles equipped with the minor feature code HUKAJ (400 watt direct current/alternating current (DC/AC) inverter system with a pickup bed alternating current (AC) power outlet socket) may experience the DC/AC inverter system inoperative with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1330:9A stored in the body control module (BCM). To confirm a vehicle is built with a certain minor feature code, review the build information by double-clicking the vehicle identification number (VIN) in the upper left corner in the Professional Technician System (PTS). This may be due to a connection issue at C4628

SummarySome 2024 F-150 Lightning vehicles placed in emergency tow state may exhibit a missing pop-up message from the instrument panel cluster (IPC) during early vehicle re-entry with the key in the OFF position. If the vehicle has not fully entered sleep mode or locked, entry through any door within 10-30 minutes may not induce pop-up message visibility when the key is still in the OFF position. Changing the ignition key state to ON will result in a visible emergency tow pop-up message in the IPC. This may be due to the IPC software. Replacement or reprogramming of the IPC will not resolve this condition. Inform customers that engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition and will be released via Ford Power-Up software updates delivered over-the-air (OTA) expected in Q2 2024. Software will update automatically if vehicle connectivity is enabled in the vehicles settings. Schedule a service visit for customers who have disabled vehicle connectivity or who report that they did not receive the update in Q2 2024. Monitor OASIS for additional information.

The xRC-3363 will prompt the technician to verify the low voltage connections, when no actual fault is present. This may be due to the software level of the Midtronics xRC-3363 High Voltage Battery Rescue Charger. To correct this condition, update the Midtronics xRC-3363 High Voltage Battery Rescue Charger to the latest software level by navigating to the Main Menu > Settings > About (i) then selecting the download button in the bottom right corner of the tool's screen.

SummarySome 2023 F-150 equipped with a 3.5L PowerBoost engine built on or after 3-Nov-2023 may exhibit an intermittent no start and Stop Safely Now message displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) and/or diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) U0293 and/or P1A43 in the BECM or in connected vehicle data. A gateway module A (GWM) software concern may be triggering the no start condition. This does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that the vehicle will start after leaving it off temporarily. Engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in March 2024. Monitor OASIS for additional information.

SummarySome 2021-2023 F-150 non-Lightning vehicles may exhibit reduced power and/or lack of acceleration above 4000 revolutions per minute (RPM) and/or not being able to shift above 4000 RPM. This may be due to the missing retainers (service part number W714040-S300) from the air cleaner intake. Prior to performing other diagnostics, inspect the air cleaner intake to determine if the retainers are present and fully seated. If the retainers are not present, install as necessary. Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-12C Intake Air Distribution and Filtering - 3.5L EcoBoost (BM), Removal and Installation, Air Cleaner, Removal, Step 4. If the retainers are present, or the missing retainers were replaced and the symptom is still present, refer to the WSM for additional diagnostics. For claiming, use causal part 9C675 and applicable labor operations in Section 06 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

SummarySome 2022 F-150 Lightning vehicles equipped with a 15 inch center display screen (minor feature code HJGAY) may exhibit a 360 degree camera view that is smaller than the vehicle's center display screen. To confirm a vehicle is built with a certain minor feature code, review the build information by double-clicking the vehicle identification number (VIN) in the upper left corner in the Professional Technician System (PTS). This may be due to a recent update to the image processing module A (IPMA). To correct this condition, run the APIM - 360 camera view display configuration application using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 14G647 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

SummarySome 2024 F-150 Lightning vehicles may set diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U0594:68 in the heat pump valve control module (HPVCM) when a diagnostic self-test is performed. This may be due to HPVCM sensitivity while in accessory mode. DTC U0594:68 has no effect on functionality and will automatically become a historical DTC which can be cleared. Replacement or reprogramming of the HPVCM will not resolve this condition. DTC U0594:68 should be ignored if no other DTCs are present in the HPVCM, no warning indicators are illuminated while the vehicle is on, and no symptoms present. No further service action is required.
