SummarySome 2021-2022 F-150 vehicles may exhibit a condition of intermittent headlamp operation while the vehicle is OFF and have diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1533 stored in the body control module (BCM). This may be due to the internal logic within the headlamp switch. Switch and/or module replacement will not resolve this condition. Headlamp operation is not affected while the vehicle is ON. A new headlamp switch is currently under development to correct this condition. Let the customer know they can continue to drive the vehicle and schedule a follow-up appointment in January 2023, when parts are expected to become available. Follow up with the customer to confirm the appointment once OASIS is updated with the repair information.

SummarySome 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles may experience a lack of steering assist upon start-up along with a Steering Assist Fault message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) U3001:89 and U3000:96 in the power steering control module (PSCM). This may be due to low voltage at the PSCM. Power steering assist will be restored when sufficient voltage is supplied. To clear the DTCs using the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS), select and run the PSCM - Reset the Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) application. Once cleared, cycle the ignition to verify normal system operation. If the DTCs return, refer to Workshop Manual Section 211-02 for normal diagnostics. For claiming, use causal part 3504.

For some 2021 Mustang Mach-E, F-150, Edge, Nautilus and Bronco vehicles technicians may experience the inability to update the accessory protocol interface module (APIM), telematics control unit (TCU) or gateway module (GWM) using the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) and Universal Serial Bus (USB) drive. The PTS OTA Dashboard on vehicles with this condition may also display multiple APIM and/or TCU updates have failed, and/or a no OTA history message. In addition, on vehicles with this condition, the customer may have reported experiencing a Ford Power-Up software update failure message via the vehicle display and/or FordPass/LincolnWay. This may be due to an internal software error. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to update and/or recover the APIM/TCU. Note: Only 10% of vehicles may require this procedure.
