ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Radio screens keep going bad causing the backup camera to not work until after a power cycle of the screen takes place. Sometimes a power cycle is not possible and the screen take a minute or two to turn on. I have had multiple radios in our car do this. I was told at the dealership that Stellantis admits they have a design flaw which causes the radio to overheat and melt the components in the radio unit. This is a series safety concern, not only because of the backup camera not displaying but a possible fire hazard if components are over heating.

Fuel pump stopped working prematurely and had to be replaced prior to 57k miles. Satelite/Antenna/Module failure. Headlight DRL have failed prematurely. Taillights burned out due to constant water buildup. Yes vehicle is available for inspection upon request.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
its going to cost me $2,120+ in parts PLUS LABOR at the dealer to replace my front left turn signal. unless I come up with close to $3,000 I am forced to drive around without a functioning front left turn signal. this is dangerous and very concerning to me. the headlights on the 2021+ Dodge Durango are a totally integrated unit. each headlamp contains the DRL and Turn Signal units as LED's. once the LED or its electronics fail, the ENTIRE headlamp assembly must be replaced. AND you have to remove the front fascia pieces of body work to remove the headlight units. this is not a job the average person can do reliably, even if they have the money. I even purchased a Dodge/Chrysler Mopar factory extended warranty when I bought the Durango, that is good for 7 yrs/125k miles. my 2021 Dodge Durango has 69,420 miles on it as of today. Dodge is refusing to cover this part under the warranty. I was told this today by the local dealer in Myrtle Beach, SC. this is not right that consumers have to pay thousands of $$$ to replace a turn signal. very dangerous.

BACK OVER PREVENTION, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The contact owns a 2024 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that the front navigational screen and the back over prevention camera blacked out intermittently. The sensors failed to inform the driver when an object or person was close to the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times. The dealer determined that the radio telemetric gateway module and the electrical system had failed. The vehicle was repaired twice but the failure persisted. The vehicle was returned to the dealer, and it was diagnosed and determined that the same part had failed and needed to be replaced a third time. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

My rear racetrack light on my 2021 Durango rt tow n go has water in it from not being sealed and it’s burnt out was quoted astronomical amounts of money to fix along with getting pulled over and was told it’s a safety issue by police and said it can cause a electrical fire and it’s a hazard

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS
I was driving slowly in heavy rain and pulled up to a red light behind another vehicle. Just as I was almost fully stopped, my car suddenly accelerated on its own and struck the vehicle in front of me. The car is equipped with an automatic braking system that should apply the brakes when there is an obstacle. Instead, not only did it fail to brake, it accelerated fully. If the car in front of us had not stopped us, we would have entered a very busy intersection, where we could have been seriously injured and might have hurt others. We were about to enter the freeway, and if this had happened there, the outcome could have been catastrophic. There were no warning lights or alerts of any kind. It happened completely out of the blue. We had the car towed to the dealer in Santa Barbara, where no problem was found. We then took it to the dealer in Thousand Oaks, where we purchased it, and again no problem was found. The vehicle’s black box was checked, but because the car was traveling under 5 mph at the time, nothing was recorded. We contacted Chrysler and reported the issue. So far, no action has been taken, and for the past week they have not even returned our calls. The incident occurred on [XXX]. We cannot drive this car. We also cannot sell it, because we cannot knowingly expose someone else to such a life-threatening risk. Since the problem has not been identified and fixed, it could happen again. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
The ACC will just turn off without warning. A yellow warning light turns on to signal driver it is not operational. This has happened many times. The warning light also occurs when the system is NOT turned on. The FCC warning comes on intermittently and states like the ACC service immediately. Both of the systems are meant to be safety features however it recommended that the driver pull over turn off the vehicle and restart to restart or reboot the system. Our safety and the safety of others has been put at risk when the system turns off without warning especially when we are driving in heavier traffic areas like when we go to SC to visit family. Terribly hazardous and anxiety inducing. Not at all reliable. The systems warning lamps and failure have been concurrent and began shortly after the vehicle was purchased in March. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but supposedly NO CODE found to authorize repairs. I have copies of all work done on my Durango as well as pictures of the warnings one multiple dates. Am unable to upload at this time.

A dealer was contacted and notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 59,000.

FRONT COLLISION SENSOR WILL BLINK RED AMD RING A LOUD ALARM WHEN NO VEHICLE IS IN FRONT OF ME WHILE DRIVING ON THE HWY GOING 80 mph OR SIMILAR AND WHEN IT DOES IT WILL APPLY THE BRAKES AND THERE ARE PEOPLE BEHIND ME ABOUT TO CAUSE A CRASH. BUT WHEN A VEHICLE PULLED IN FRONT OF ME, THE FRONT COLLISION SENSOR WARNING DID NOT WORK AT ALL. VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY DEALERSHIP AND THEY FOUND NO ISSUE BUT THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL DIFFERENT OCCASIONS.

Driver side daytime running light failure. The entire headlight assembly must be replaced. There is reduced visibility, which is a safety concern. The cost to repair is $1,800, which is outrageous for a single headlight assembly. LEDs should not fail at 80K mileage on a car that is less than six years old. This appears to be a known defect on Dodge Durangos.

1-Driver side LED inside the headlight burnt out doesn't work anymore can't replace LED in the headlight must replace the unit. Vehicle can be ready on request 2-the safety of me and my family are at risk of crashing or going off the road at night time because the lighting of the LED light doesn't put out a bright light of the road and objects in front of my vehicle like the other side that works 3- the dealer said there is no recall so they can't do nothing. 4- the police said if it don't get fixed soon I would start getting tickets for a blown out headlight but the headlight bulbs work 5- no messages or warning came on the dash this problem began June 1,2025 I looked at reviews of this happening to many 2022,2023,2024 dodge durango's and the front end and fender has to come off the vehicle to get to the headlight unit screws witch leads to over a thousand dollars for parts and labor this is a safety problem and a malfunction that I hope it don't lead to someone getting hurt or killed because of dodge not taking responsibility for a malfunction part. The Dodge corporation always makes sure there cars are safe but everybody that has this problem with there 2022,2023,2024 dodge Durango's must file a complaint

I don't understand this vehicle is still fairly new and my daytime running light on the driver side stop working for some reason and I don't understand I also noticed all the lighting system in the rear all has water in it now I'm worried is all the lighting in this car going to go bad because I see it in a lot of cars out here on the road. POWER TRAIN
Three times now I have a service transmission and it won’t shift but then when taken to dealer they state no codes pop up but I show them a video of what happens each time the dealership says bring it back. First time no codes- no fix, The second time they exchanged the transmission brain and 3 months later the third time and still nothing fixed due to no codes and nothing happened when they drove the car. Something is going on for it to service transmission light to come on and then not shift 3 times now within 6 months. Mileage is under 32,000. Regular maintained with oil changes and tires.

The engine cooling system on my 2021 Dodge Durango GT failed due to ruptured coolant lines, including the rear coolant tubes supplying the rear air conditioning system and both transmission heater hoses. These lines carry engine coolant to the rear HVAC system and transmission. The ruptures caused coolant loss and engine overheating during normal operation. The failure appears related to the routing of the lines near the transmission housing, causing excessive wear not attributable to driver error. This model year has a documented history of similar failures. The vehicle and components are available for inspection and are currently at the dealership. My safety and the safety of others were put at risk because the vehicle overheated while I was driving at normal speed in traffic. A major overheating warning appeared while driving. Overheating in traffic creates a risk of sudden loss of power or the need to stop unexpectedly, which could result in a collision. Although I was able to drive slowly due to proximity to home, this condition would be hazardous on longer trips. The issue was confirmed by an authorized Dodge dealership, which verified failure of the coolant lines and provided an estimated repair cost of approximately $3,600. The vehicle has only been inspected by the dealership. A third-party warranty provider (Warranty Solutions) denied coverage, and I am disputing the decision. The vehicle remains at the dealership because I do not feel it is safe to drive. No prior warning signs were present. The overheating warning appeared suddenly at approximately 62,000 miles. I noticed the smell of coolant upon arrival at the dealership, indicating an active leak.
