The contact owns a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V189000 (Air Bags); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired due to parts being on backorder. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. In addition, the contact was referred to another local dealer as per the manufacturer; however, parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

Chrysler issued this safety recall 52D at the end of June and still no remedy is being reported as available from Chrysler. This is abysmal customer performance and and unacceptable turnaround time for what amounts to a serious safety risk. Chrysler has not and continues not to provide an estimated timelines for resolution. I am renting a vehicle in the meantime given the safety risk (both while driving and while parked), paying for the rental cost out of pocket and taking a risk that Chrysler will reimburse. In short, the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for this vehicle in a timely manner.

The head rest of the second row broke and will not return to its upright position. It happened when we putting the seat in the stow position. Having the headrest sticking into your neck is very dangerous so we basically lost a seat in our vehicle. We can choose to remove the headrest, which is a danger for whiplash OR repair it. The repair is estimated over $300 which is ridiculous! This should be a covered repair under a recall as it seems to happen frequently.

My car is a part of NHTSA Campaign No. 26V362 / Manufacturer Recall 52D and on July 30th, 2026 it suffered a fatal transmission error and stopped on the highway. I am unable to drive it and it officially needs its entire transmission rebuilt. My wife was driving back from work and the car shutdown in the middle of the highway and she had to risk her life to get it to an emergency zone. The turtle symbol came on the dash and the dealer confirmed the transmission needs to be rebuilt because of a manufacturer defect.
