We received a recall paper in the mail to stop driving our vehicle, and take it to the nearest Chrysler dealership to have our 2021 hybrid pacifica van hybrid battery for a software update and monitor of the hybrid battery replacement for a recall 52D. Because the hybrid battery will catch fire. We took it in, they updated the software and said it passed. We drove it not even a month and the check engine light came on. We took it back and they said our hybrid battery needs replaced, a code POBBE that ties to recall 52d but said its not covered under the recall, and we will have to pay out of pocket. We have been back and forth for over 3 to 4 months because Chrysler, Stellantis, & Mopar keeps denying the replacement of the hybrid battery because they say it passed after the check for the recall, our vin does not match for the recall, our van is over the warranty miles. The last call they gave us a new case # which this is our 4th one and told us to go take it back to the dealership and have them run a diagnosis again to see what it says. We did that and the same code comes back. The dealership opened a STAR case and told us to call Chrysler recall division. We did, she gave us a new case number and told us that a case manager will call us. In the mean time the dealership is waiting and has our van because its a fire recall and hoping that all of the above companies that are responsible for this recall make this right. Please help with this serious matter. Thank you

The vehicle experiences a complete loss of motive power due to the high voltage battery pack reaching a temperature of 131 degrees F. The defect first surfaced on March 7th, 2022. The vehicle shut down on multiple occasions while driving, and the original owner had the vehicle bought back by FCA US. The vehicle was sold to me in 2023, and it has shut down on numerous occasions for me as well, some of which were while driving. In total, between both owners, there have been 11 failed repair attempts, involving replacement of the high voltage battery pack, the chiller, the inter-loop heat exchanger, the battery cooling pump, and multiple replacements of the high temp 3-way cabin valve. I eventually traced the apparent cause to the high temp 3-way cabin valve routing engine coolant through the inter-loop heat exchanger at all times, causing the high voltage battery pack to overheat. If the vehicle is left sitting with the engine idling, the vehicle will shut down after less than two from cold. I installed a hose to bypass the heat exchanger in order to address the problem. The repair successfully kept the battery coolant temperature from rising, however, the vehicle still overheats and shuts down. I believe that this model of suffers from multiple design defects in the cooling system making it far more likely than other vehicles to experience a complete loss of motive power.

latching cable for second row drivers side seat broke, allowing the seat to slam forward and back while driving and the seat back would not stay up.tje cable has a plastic piece to hold spring pressure and the plastic is not strong enough to be reliable. A few months ago the second row passenger side seat cable broke in the same manner. The spring in the picture attached is supposed to be contained inside the plastic, but the thin plastic breaks and the spring is no longer contained.

The contact’s daughter owns a 2021 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, there was a strong fuel odor inside the vehicle. The contact’s husband inspected under the hood and became aware that there was a pin-sized hole in the fuel line and that there was fuel leaking inside the engine compartment. The contact stated that the fuel supply line was touching the engine and the vibration from the engine had caused the pinhole in the fuel supply line. The fuel supply line was replaced by the husband, and the vehicle was repaired.
