ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
As I was waiting for the light to change, my car suddenly shuts off and won't restart. Luckily, some goof Samaritans helped push my vehicle out of traffic. The mechanic close to where the incident took place found that the ASD fuse needed to be replaced and my car started right up. Well my car shut off while waiting for a light a few days later. I will be having my car looked at again however after research it seems to be that the TIPM needs to be replaced. It would be amazing if there was a recall on this as I see so many others having the same issue. This is a HUGE safety concern.

The uconnect/radio is off and it is available for inspection. In some extreme cases, a malfunctioning radio could potentially interfere with other critical vehicle functions, creating a safety hazard. Also it interferes with my A/C & only blows hot air when it chooses to work. It hasn’t been expected by the manufacturer, it’s only been expected audio tech & mechanics & stated they can’t detect the problem. There was no warning signs just a complete shut off & never turned on again

The radio screen sounded as if it shorted out, went blank, and now my battery dies if I don't run my car every day. My odometer flashes and my engine light is on, but the engine codes that come up are related to the Evap. System Integrity Module, and the Active Grille Shutter that I'm sure need replacement due to age. I'm not sure if there is indeed a short, but my battery has been replaced three times (this time being the fourth) since 2019 which seems excessive leading me to believe that there may be one. When reaching out to my local dealership I am advised to bring in for them to look at which costs $150.00 just for the service department to troubleshoot. I during a previous recall I was informed that it costs $1800 to replace the radio. Upon further review I discovered that I am not the only owner with this same issue. Several owners have has this happen to their vehicles. I believe this is worth looking into.

When not coming to a complete stop for at least 5 seconds and trying to get going again the car bogs down / hesitates almost feels like it has stalled for around 3 to 5 seconds then lurches forward and engine continues to rev even after accelerator has been released. For example coming up to a red light that turns green before you finish stopping, yield signs or slowing into a turn lane and trying to get across on-coming traffic. It is extremely dangerous and seriously needs to be looked into. I have seen several complaints about this. This is very common and needs to be fixed. This is also reoccurring problem that happens in these situations every time.

Air bag light comes on. We have had it checked by 3 different technicians. They have found that it is an issue with the control module, and seat squibs need to be replaced. This is a $4000 issue that is directly related to the safety of the driver of the car. They said it looks to be a manufacturing issue but unfortunately is not covered by the extended warranty that we purchased.

In addition, the contact stated that the horn failed to function as intended. The contact later noticed that the driver's and passenger's headrest air bags had deployed unintendedly. The contact stated while driving at unknown speeds, the brake pedal was depressed, and the driver’s and passenger’s side front seats moved unexpectedly. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the plastic underneath the seat was deteriorating. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the junk yard to secure the parts. The failure mileage was approximately 46,900.

I took my car in to get my recalls fixed and they are not fixed yet they claim to be fixed on record. One is a transmission sensor and the other is electrical. The issue i am having is my car is shutting off the power to the engine while driving. This is causing serious issues when driving on busy highways and other roadways. I am terrified of my engine stopping on the interstate and getting hit by other car due to being unable to drive my car. This instance has happened once where my engine has stopped randomly while on the highway. The other issue is it will not start, there is an issue with the electrical not sending information over to my cars computer to start it. I have been left stranded late after work some days or unable to drive my car at all. The dealership claims all recalls have been fixed but after going to (2) different places they do not assume they have been fixed due to this being the only cause for this issue to be happening still. The code my car is reading is the P0335 Sensor which has been replaced * i did witness a new one being put in* and throwing a check engine light.

The car randomly stalls while I am driving it. I lose all power to the car and the RPM's go to zero. I have to jiggle the fuse box and turn the key to the on position until I hear the fuel pump kick on, then I can start the car. I can tell when the car will stall on me when the RPM's fluctuate and the car stutters. My safety is put at risk to me and to other people because my car loses power while I am driving it. I lost power to the car four times this morning alone and almost got smashed by a 5th wheel truck. I have lost power on the freeway while my children were in the car with me. My husband is a mechanic and he thinks it is the fuse box that needs to be replaced.

Additionally, the contact stated that the front driver's side seat headrest deployed while the contact was occupying the seat on another occasion. There were no injuries sustained by the driver or passenger seat occupant. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the cause of the failure could not be determined. The dealer was charging a fee for the headrests replacement, but the contact declined to pay for the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. Broken active head restraint while placing the passenger seat in a slight reclining position. It broke the rod and plastic in the head rest so that it separates (no support for the head). Meaning there is a chance of possible injury to the head and neck of the passenger in the event of an accident.

On July 4th 2024 I was driving home and transmission started acting up and leaked everywhere come to find out after inspection the transmission pan exploded under my vehicle and it will not drive at all it's saying service power train and service transmission and the car won't turn off or start and it's stuck in drive along with the emergency brake turned on by itself and the vehicle started to smoke
