Driving this vehicle in cruise control at around 70-80 mph, on an empty freeway early in the morning. No traffic but suddenly and for no reason the collision prevention system activated causing the steering wheel to turn all the way to the right and locking in place, the brakes activating, and leaving me no control sending me and two passengers in an embankment and the car on its passenger side.

Failed Component: Service Brakes, Hydraulic / Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) / Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) Description of Incident & Safety Defect: On June 11, 2026, while operating the vehicle, the primary braking system suffered a complete failure of electro-hydraulic power assist. When attempting to slow down, the electronic brake system failed to engage or command hydraulic assist. The brake pedal became extremely hard and stiff to press, rendering the hydraulic braking system completely ineffective. Simultaneously, the vehicle’s integrated Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system failed to activate or provide secondary collision mitigation, resulting in a crash with the vehicle ahead. Technical & Telemetry Evidence: An official Bosch Crash Data Retrieval (CDR) report (dated July 29, 2026) confirmed that during the incident, the brake pedal was physically depressed to 16% pedal travel/movement, yet the hydraulic line pressure registered at 0 kPa. This electronic telemetry proves that despite driver pedal application, the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) never engaged hydraulic pressure or commanded stopping authority. Post-Incident & Out-of-Service Timeline: The vehicle was surrendered to an authorized dealership (Classic Chevrolet, Grapevine, TX) following the crash and has remained continuously out of service in dealer custody since June 14, 2026. General Motors Product Assistance Claims (PAC Case #102143673) closed their investigation on September 2, 2026, performing $0.00 in repairs and issuing a complete denial of assistance. The vehicle remains completely unrepaired, unsafe to drive, held in dealer custody, and subject to an active Texas DMV Lemon Law filing.

Was driving on highway and parking break light flashed on - break was not on. Tried to turn off and couldn't - car still driving. Then all these alerts started coming up "break failure", "no AWD" "Break failure cannot accelerate past certain speed". I tried to pull over the stop the car and no breaks would work including parking break. Eventually rolled to a stop without hitting anything. Car under warranty with 11,000 miles, called dealership who had lack of concern for urgency of the issue. This put not only myself and child but also many other drivers on the highway during rush hour. Very concerning and lack of response from dealership even more concerning.

The contact owns a 2025 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced repeated phantom braking while driving at various speeds. The contact stated that the automatic emergency braking system activated erroneously. The automatic emergency braking system was deactivated to prevent the failure; however, after a software update at the dealer during a radio repair, the feature automatically activated. After the update, the phantom braking reoccurred on several occasions. The contact had successfully disabled the feature again but remained concerned that the system might activate unexpectedly while turned off. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.

I am concerned about a significant safety issue with my 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV. On at least four separate occasions, the vehicle has unexpectedly applied extremely hard Rear Automatic Braking while I was backing up, despite there being no object, vehicle, person, or obstacle behind the vehicle. The braking is so abrupt and forceful that it feels as though the vehicle has collided with something. Because the driver is typically looking over their shoulder while reversing, the sudden stop causes a violent jolt. This has resulted in neck pain and headaches for me and my son on multiple occasions. One of these incidents also occurred while my son was driving the vehicle. We discussed the event afterward and both experienced the same sudden, aggressive braking with nothing present behind the vehicle. The system appears to be activating falsely. This is a serious safety concern. The unexpected braking could potentially cause injury to the driver or passengers and may also create a hazardous situation if another vehicle is following behind. I am requesting that this issue be investigated and repaired as soon as possible.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? On September 12, 2026, while parked at the top level of a parking garage, the vehicle unexpectedly began rolling forward after being parked and exited. The vehicle subsequently struck a concrete wall. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? On September 12, 2026, my son parked the vehicle on the top level of a parking garage. He exited the vehicle while I remained seated in the rear seat and his girlfriend remained in the front passenger seat. I later moved to the driver's seat to speak with her. As I exited the vehicle to meet my son, the vehicle unexpectedly started rolling forward on its own. Nothing was touched or intentionally activated prior to the vehicle moving. Because the vehicle began moving while I was exiting, I fell and suffered injuries including a scraped knee, swelling and injury to my foot, pain in my hands, and abrasions on my arm. The vehicle continued rolling and struck a concrete wall, causing damage to the front of the vehicle. The unexpected vehicle movement placed me, the passenger, and other nearby individuals at risk of serious injury. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? I am reporting these incidents for investigation. The vehicle is available for inspection by Chevrolet, the dealer, NHTSA investigators, insurance representatives, or other authorized parties. No warning lamps, messages, or other alerts were observed prior to the Rear Automatic Braking events or the vehicle roll-away incident. The braking events and vehicle movement occurred unexpectedly and without warning. I no longer feel safe operating this vehicle. Between the multiple false activations of the Rear Automatic Braking system and the incident on September 12, 2026, where the vehicle unexpectedly rolled forward and caused injury

While backing into parking at a Humble Cow ice cream place. My 2025 Chevy Blazer EV AWD slammed to a stop. I was going 4 mph my spouses head hit the head rest and caused severe pain and stress. We had to go to the emergency room for treatment. This has happened 6 other times 3 since having the required updates and replacement of modules that took several months to complete. She was given medication and lytocain patches for the trauma of her neck and head. She is now afraid to drive in my vehicle. I looked up the situation and found on Reddit and the internet that this is a known issue with Chevy and several other vehicles relating to their braking and eboost system. One work around is to turn off all of the sensors from the settings menu to include parking. It also said to not use the one pedal driving. This is unattainable for a brand new car that I paid Cash $45-$50,000 for and not to be able to use it as intended. Please look into this. I will be filing another complaint with the dealership on 14 September 2026. Something must be done.

- #11761864September 3, 2026FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
The contact owns a 2025 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact stated that a GM inspector had inspected the vehicle due to phantom braking. The contact stated that while her husband was driving approximately 35 MPH, with her daughter in the front passenger’s seat and the contact seated in the rear seat, the brakes independently engaged, and the vehicle came to an abrupt stop. The failure had occurred three times. The contact had undergone cervical spine surgery six months before the failure, and the failure caused the injury to return. The contact's husband reviewed the Owner's Manual and discovered that the vehicle was equipped with the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system and associated the failure with the AEB feature. The manufacturer was notified of the issue, and a GM inspector inspected the vehicle. The vehicle was also taken to a local dealer; however, the dealer was unable to repair the vehicle and suggested that the feature was deactivated.

windshield leaking water inside of drivers compartment, headliner & side pillars (causing stained areas) as well as the top of onstar and electrical buttons on the overhead console . Found wet cup holder. Vehicle does not have a sun roof. GM is aware of this issue from the factory GM plant in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico. This defect is because of lack of not being sealed properly during the assembly process. The windshield has a factory OEM rubber seal attached to a NEW windshield. This rubber seal is NOT a part that can be purchased separately to fix the problem. By replacing the entire windshield with the new factory rubber seal and the channel that the entire windshield fits into is resealed with urethane should fix the issue.. Trying to reuse the current windshield & rubber seal and using sealer to reinstall it stretches out the rubber seal & will still leak. This leak can get into the electrical controls for safety system overhead controls. Extra care must be taken to remove the windshield as to not damage the roof line in anyway. Vehicle is going back into dealership to fix issue again. Vehicle was resealed with existing windshield and showing signs of leaking on L&R pillars.

Just purchased a used 2025 RS EV on 5/2/2026. When I got home I found out the Google maps and on star app wasn't working. Called on star and they can't connect to the car and that the telematics module is probably bad. Checked my Chevrolet app and it reports that it hasn't connected to the car for over 6 months. Now waiting for replacement part going 3 weeks now. A little pissed off that dealer did find before they sold me the car.
