Paint started to peel off at upper side of rear roof (under the upper side of the gate). I have reported this issue el the dealership and as of today they haven’t yet responded. Vehicle sleeps in the garage every day and.only has about 72,000 miles. Same issue happened with my 2012 Honda Odyssey (same white diamond color). Honda fixed the van under extended warranty. So I hope Acura (Honda) does the same for my RDX. I understand same is happening on the MDX of similar years.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
Headlights (low beams) are way too dim making driving in the dark impossible. Replacing bulbs and aligning lights did not correct problem. Driver in another car said headlights were barely visible on their end.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
The visibility of my headlights are so bad that I am unable to drive my car at night. At first, I thought that I was imagining it and maybe my eye sight was going bad, but my husband noticed it too. This has been going on for about 8 months or so. I didn't notice it much at first because I was not driving as much with the pandemic. The only way that I can drive my car at night is if I keep my headlights on bright the entire time which causes two safety hazards: 1. If I don't keep the headlights on high beam, I can barely see the road in front of me. 2. If I continue to shine my high beams on an oncoming car, with today's environment, I may suffer repercussions from the other driver. I did a little research and found out that quite a few owners of the 2015 RDX are experiencing the same problem once their mileage reaches 90K. I contacted the Acura Dealership and they told me that they know about the problem and the only way to fix it is to replace the entire headlight assembly at a cost to the customer of $2200. Not only don't I have this kind of money, it is not fair to me or any other customer. I purchased this car brand new and Acura needs to stand behind there product. I reached out to Acura Clients Relations over a week ago and they never returned my message. Whatever you can do to look into this problem would be greatly appreciated.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
Headlights are very dim. Sometimes need to use high beams to see at night. From what I read on line, it is a common problem with the headlight housing on 2013-2015 Acura RDX. This is a serious safety risk and Acura should repair. I purchased the car used about 2 years ago and the problem has gotten worse

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
After owning my car for a few years, the front headlights began to dim. I've replaced them multiple times even with LED lights and now they are dim all the time. For example, the LED lights were installed in June and immediately there was no improvement. The car cannot be driven at night at all. It is extremely dangerous. I was told by the dealership that the 2015 base model is known to have these issues but there is nothing that can be done. How is it possible that headlights don't work on a car (to the point it can't be driven at night) but there is nothing that can be done.

Was driving my car home and there was a loud explosion. There were no other cars around me and I couldn’t figure out what happened. I was suddenly aware of the noise of air outside and I could immediately hear stuff flying off my roof. I couldn’t safely pull over for a mile. Found a hole in my front moonroof and it was completely shattered. Had my sunshade not been closed I would have been covered with glass. Reading online lots of other Acura RDX owners have had the same thing happen. This is so dangerous.

ENGINE
While driving on a two lane road at app 60 mph, we accelerated to pass a slower car, Our 2019 Acura RDX lost power and coasted down to about 20 mph and the check engine light was flashing. we had no control over the speed of the vehicle (limp mode), which was very scary and could have caused a serious accident. It was raining earlier but not at the time of the incident. This should be a recall and not just a Acura Service Bulletin 20-053 since it can be life threatening.

The headlights are incredibly dim, I've replaced the actual bulb and that's not the problem there's something wrong with the housing and reading online it's a common problem , they are so bad the car can not be driven at night.

I was driving on the highway, clear skies, nothing overhead. Then I heard a loud explosion and slowed down thinking I had a blown tire...but I didn't feel the car to pull to any one side no have difficulty steering. Then I started to hear wind noise in the cabin. When I finally exited the highway I looked up and saw that my sunroof was cracked and had caved in. You can hear the crackling noise. When I touched it pieces literally crumbled and fell into the cloth cover below. I believe the sunroof is defective and may have exploded while I was driving. there is no evidence on the roof that it was hit be road debris (no other spots show any dings or signs of damage).

POWER TRAIN
My 2019 Acura RDX suddenly lost power while accelerating on two occasions this year. Both times it occurred in clear weather with temperatures around 80 degrees. The first time it happened was on 7/15/2021 when I was accelerating onto a US Highway. The second time was on 10/4/2021 when accelerating from a stoplight. Both times I had to coast to the side of the road due to loss of power. I was able to restore power by restarting the engine. Please investigate since loss of acceleration can lead to crashes. For example, it can be deadly if it occurs while passing on a 2-lane road or making a left turn in front of oncoming traffic. Thanks.

Vehicle was subject to a relay attack. Perpetrator walked right up to the vehicle and opened the door. My key fobs were far away from the vehicle in the basement. Acura claims there are no known cases of this vehicle hack. However, according to internet sources, Acura/Honda are subject to malicious hacking because their key fobs do not use a "rolling code" system. Other luxury brands have implemented security features which allows the key fob to "sleep" if not moved. They are denying everything and maintaining their position that they are aware of "no known issues". Yet the police advised of a criminal ring with 100's of Honda/Acura vehicles stolen this way in NYC, for which the VINS are being scratched off and sold on Craigs list. Please advise if you can assist in this matter. This is a safety issue because when any malicious third party enters a vehicle without permission, they could do anything that would compromise the safety and drivability of the vehicle. Thank you

The sunroof exploded with no outside impact. I drive to the office in the morning and as soon as I put the car in park the sunroof exploded with a huge noise. Nothing fell on the sunroof and there was nothing wrong with the sunroof until then. I had opened and closed the sunroof the day before with no issues. The sunroof exploded and shattered the glass in thousands of pieces. Fortunately the sunshade was closed which protected the shattered glass from falling on me.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
The headlights have become dim. The bulbs have been changed several times LED and HID and casing cleaned. In order to see at night we have to drive with high beams on. This has become dangerous for driving. We tried switching the light order but the high beams are too powerful and can cause danger to other drivers. The dealers says we have to replace the headlight assembly kit $2k. This is an issue that many people are having.

the headlights are extremely dim, making it dangerous to drive at night. The bulbs have been replaced multiple times, but the lights remain dim. I literally am afraid to drive it at night. You can see in online forums that this is apparently common for the 2014 RDX, yet my car (and other) have not been included in any recall. This is a safety issue.

ENGINE, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
I own a 2021 Acura RDX that was purchased new in February 2021. In the 11,500 miles I have driven it, there have been zero problems until yesterday. However, yesterday, when driving on an Interstate highway at 70 mph, in the rain, while passing a semi truck, my Acura RDX suddenly went into limp mode and the check engine light began flashing. After pulling over to the berm, and driving in the limp mode to the next exit, I turned the engine off. When I turned the engine back on it functioned normally and the check engine light went out. The engine has functioned normally for the approximately 100 miles I have driven since that time. Since there is no problem now, I have not taken the vehicle to the dealer to be checked since I felt that they would find nothing. When looking up this problem I found that mine is not an isolated case, and this same thing has happened to other Acura RDX owners. For that reason I am reporting the problem. I have also written to Acura to tell them of the problem. This was a very scary situation to have the engine suddenly, and without warning, go into limp mode while on a busy Interstate highway. Fortunately, in this case I was able to safely get to the berm of the road, but that might not always be possible. I have no idea when this might happen again, which is also scary. It is also very strange that by turning the engine off and then back on the problem disappeared. If requested, I would be happy to have Acura look at my vehicle if it would help to find the root cause of this problem. Thank you for your review of this problem.

AIR BAGS
My 2014 RDX does not show to have an open recall based on my VIN but I am receiving an airbag warning and the make and model of my vehicle is included in the recall. I called the dealer where I purchased the vehicle and they said they don't have to honor the recall to replace the airbags. When I look up the warning message, my safety could be in jeopardy and this is my only vehicle. Please confirm who to contact or what options I have to pursue this complaint since the dealership confirms they did not perform a replacement of the airbags before I purchased this vehicle and I have never received a notice to replace the airbags in my 2014 RDX.

ENGINE
For the second time, while accelerating in rainy conditions, the engine lost all power and went into limp mode. The check engine light came on and blinked. I was able to pull over and turn the car off and then back on the the check engine light was gone.
