Toyota has detailed the capabilities of its 2027 battery electric vehicle (BEV) lineup, which includes the 2027 Toyota bZ, 2027 Toyota bZ Woodland, and 2027 Toyota C-HR. This announcement is part of a four-part series highlighting the distinct features of each model. The current focus is on how each BEV is designed to meet different consumer needs, from daily commuting to off-road adventures.

The 2027 Toyota bZ

The 2027 Toyota bZ is presented as a versatile BEV suitable for a broad range of lifestyles, emphasizing practical daily use within the 2027 Toyota BEV lineup. It is available in XLE and Limited grades, with both Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) and All-Wheel Drive (AWD) configurations. Consumers have a choice of two battery capacities.

The standard XLE FWD model comes with a 57.7-kWh battery, offering an EPA-estimated driving range of 236 miles. For those seeking extended range, a larger 74.7-kWh battery is available across other bZ drivetrain options. This larger battery provides an EPA-estimated 288 miles of range for the XLE AWD and an EPA-estimated 314 miles for the XLE FWD Plus model.

The 2027 Toyota bZ Woodland

Designed for outdoor enthusiasts, the 2027 Toyota bZ Woodland is an adventure-focused SUV. This model combines electric performance with enhanced versatility for varied terrains. It is powered by a 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery and features standard all-wheel drive across its two grades: the bZ Woodland AWD and the bZ Woodland Premium AWD.

The bZ Woodland offers different range estimates depending on tire selection. With all-season tires, it achieves an EPA-estimated range of 281 miles. Opting for the more rugged, trail-ready all-terrain tires adjusts the EPA-estimated range to 260 miles, catering to those who prioritize off-pavement capability.

The 2027 Toyota C-HR

The 2027 Toyota C-HR enters the market as a sporty, coupe-like SUV, targeting urban drivers with its distinct styling and performance-oriented design. It is equipped with a high-capacity 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery and includes standard electronic All-Wheel Drive. This model aims to blend modern electric capabilities with everyday practicality.

Range figures for the C-HR vary based on wheel size. The SE grade, fitted with 18-inch wheels, delivers an EPA-estimated range of 287 miles. For a more aggressive aesthetic, the XSE grade features 20-inch wheels, resulting in an EPA-estimated range of 273 miles.
