Toyota Kentucky Starts RAV4 Hybrid Production, Builds New Paint Facility

Toyota's Georgetown, Kentucky manufacturing plant, known as Toyota Kentucky (TMMK), officially began assembly of the all-new RAV4 Hybrid on June 22, 2026. This production launch is part of a $2 billion investment made by Toyota over the past two years to expand its U.S. manufacturing capabilities. Concurrently, the plant also broke ground on a new paint facility designed to enhance efficiency and flexibility in its operations.

To support future talent and commemorate these manufacturing milestones, Toyota Kentucky is investing $500,000 in a grant for Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC). This funding will establish a new regional workforce training facility, providing hands-on instruction to prepare students and upskill current workers in the Bluegrass region for advanced manufacturing roles.

Toyota Kentucky has a 40-year history, with total investments exceeding $12 billion and over 15 million vehicles assembled since its inception. The plant currently employs nearly 10,000 individuals, underscoring its long-standing presence and economic contribution to U.S. manufacturing.
