Nissan Group reported a significant increase in its second-quarter 2026 U.S. sales, totaling 242,741 units. This 9.6% year-over-year rise solidifies Nissan's position as the fastest-growing mainstream brand in the U.S., marked by 16 consecutive months of retail sales increases.

Nissan Group announced its second-quarter 2026 U.S. sales, totaling 242,741 units, marking a 9.6% increase compared to the same period last year. This performance contributes to Nissan's position as the fastest-growing mainstream brand in the U.S. over the past 10 months, with 16 consecutive months of year-over-year retail sales increases.
Total retail sales for the group reached 189,910 units, an 8.0% rise from the previous year. This consistent growth underscores the company's market momentum and product strategy in the competitive U.S. automotive landscape. The strong Nissan Q2 2026 sales figures reflect sustained demand across various models.
Nissan Division Drives Retail Growth
The Nissan Division was a primary driver of the group's retail growth, with an 8.8% increase in retail sales year-over-year. Key models demonstrated significant individual gains, contributing to the overall positive Nissan Q2 2026 sales performance.
Frontier retail sales saw a substantial 36.8% increase for the quarter, achieving its best June retail sales since 2010. Sentra retail sales also grew by 33.3%, while Rogue retail sales climbed 29.4%. The Rogue maintained its status as the brand's top seller and was recognized as the highest-ranked compact SUV in the J.D. Power 2026 U.S. Initial Quality Study.
Other Nissan models contributing to the growth included the Pathfinder, which recorded its best-ever quarterly total volume, and the Kicks, which posted its best June total sales. Armada total sales increased by 27% for the quarter, further diversifying Nissan's strong performance across its lineup.
INFINITI Performance and New Model Introductions
INFINITI reported total sales of 12,298 units for the second quarter, which remained consistent with prior-year levels. Despite a slight decrease in overall INFINITI retail sales by 2.4%, the luxury brand saw notable successes in specific segments.
The QX80 recorded its best-ever second-quarter retail sales, with over 3,300 units sold. Additionally, the launch of the all-new INFINITI QX65 contributed significantly to the brand's momentum, delivering over 1,000 retail sales in its first full month on the market. This new model is expected to play a crucial role in INFINITI's future sales mix.
U.S. Manufacturing and Future Outlook
U.S. manufacturing remains a critical component of Nissan Group's strategy. Vehicles produced at Nissan's U.S. plants are projected to account for 60.1% of the retail volume for the first half of calendar year 2026. This represents a 10.3 percentage point increase year-over-year and includes popular models such as the Rogue, Frontier, Pathfinder, and the new INFINITI QX65.
Looking ahead, Nissan anticipates further momentum with the upcoming introduction of the Rogue hybrid e-POWER later in 2026. This new powertrain option is expected to build on the success of the Rogue, continuing to drive Nissan Q2 2026 sales and beyond. INFINITI also expects sustained strength from its SUV lineup, including the QX60, QX80, and the recently launched QX65.
Nissan's consistent sales increases and strategic product introductions indicate a focused approach to meeting consumer demand and maintaining market share. The strong second-quarter results position the company favorably for continued growth throughout the year, offering a diverse range of vehicles for U.S. buyers.
