Kia America reported record Kia July sales 2026, selling 75,857 units, marking a 7 percent increase compared to the same month last year. This performance builds on the company's strongest first-half sales and positions Kia to achieve its fourth consecutive annual sales record. Sales through Kia's retail network also saw an 8 percent year-over-year increase for July.
Strong Sales Across the Board
Kia July sales 2026 reached 75,857 vehicles, establishing a new July record for the manufacturer. This growth contributed to a year-to-date total of 506,584 units sold through July, representing a 4 percent increase over the previous year's period. The company anticipates maintaining this trajectory to secure its fourth straight year of record sales.
Key Models and Electrified Growth
Several Kia models contributed significantly to the strong Kia July sales 2026 success, achieving their best-ever July performance. The Sportage hybrid led with a 76 percent increase, followed by the Seltos with a 61 percent rise. Other models with notable growth include the Carnival hybrid and Sorento hybrid, both up 16 percent, the Telluride at 13 percent, and the K4 with an 8 percent increase.
The brand's electrified vehicle lineup also experienced substantial growth. Hybrid model sales surged by 108 percent year-over-year, while the broader electrified portfolio, encompassing hybrids and electric vehicles, saw a 52 percent increase compared to July of the previous year.
Product Updates and Community Initiatives
Beyond sales figures, Kia America recently introduced the 2027 Kia Seltos, a redesigned SUV aimed at offering enhanced capability, comfort, and technology. The 2027 Telluride also received recognition, being named one of Newsweek’s “Best New SUVs” in their 2026 Readers’ Choice™ Awards, based on public voting for quality, performance, and ownership experience.
Eric Watson, vice president of sales operations at Kia America, noted the sustained consumer interest across Kia's product range, from sedans to SUVs and electrified powertrains. He highlighted the strength of the product lineup and ongoing consumer demand as factors contributing to the company's ability to set new records. Upcoming product launches, such as the all-electric EV3 later this year, are expected to further support this momentum.
In 2025, Kia America and its dealer network collectively raised over $4.7 million through the "Accelerate the Good" Dealer Match program. This initiative supported various non-profit organizations nationwide, with more than $1.5 million each directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® and No Kid Hungry, alongside funding for children's health, hunger relief, veterans' support, disaster response, and community well-being programs.
Kia's consistent sales growth in July 2026, driven by strong performance from key models and a significant increase in electrified vehicle adoption, indicates a robust market position. With new and updated models entering showrooms and continued investment in community programs, the manufacturer appears focused on sustaining its positive sales trajectory and brand presence in the US market.
