Yesterday, 7/27/2022, I had my 2007 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab at my mechanic's shop for a minor issue. While on the lift he noticed significant rust on the frame rails. He brought me over and showed me extensive areas where the metal was completely rusted through. I have never seen anything like this on even the oldest of vehicles. Subsequently I did a search online and found that this was a known issue for many years of Tacoma truck frames, but I was never notified by Toyota or anyone including the local Toyota dealer where I have had services done. I cannot believe a company as well established as Toyota would allow such a potentially serious problem to go unaddressed. Toyota should be held responsible for selling defective and dangerous vehicles and be required to effect repairs as soon as possible completely at their cost. Rusty Frame Issue Toyota Tacoma had a warranty enchantment program that expired in 01/31/2019 . I took the Tacoma July 18 2022 to the dealership for regular maintenance and they told me “THE TECH NOTICED 2 LARGES HOLES IN THE FRAME WHICH IS GOING TO COMPROMISE THE STRENGTH OF THE FRAME”. When I asked why they didn’t change the frame during the inspection back in 2015 if they knew it was going to be a problem. They refused to give a good answer. I took the Tacoma to the dealership back in 2015 for a frame inspection the nonprofessional inspector chose not change the frame. I contacted Toyota Motor Sales USA and basically was told they couldn’t do anything because the warranty enchantment program already expired. I understand that the warranty enchantment program has expired but I don’t understand how I have full responsibility when I did my part as the customer by taking my Tacoma during the time window of the warranty enchantment program. This is not safe for me, my family of the citizens. I believe there are going to be many more Toyota pickups with this problem.

The accelerator on my truck suddenly accelerates without warning at highway speeds 60MPH and above, as well as residential speeds of 25+ MPH. It also accelerates when coming up to a stop sign and you are slowing down. The Toyota dealership said they were unable to reproduce or duplicate the problem. It is very frightening when it happens because it lasts between 4-5 seconds if you do not apply the brakes hard. There has not been any warning lights or anything that comes up on the dash board.

This tailgates passenger side rear hinge and bushing. Failed to hold integrity. My 4-year-old attempted to help me and load my truck up with some camping gear. He pulled the handle like he has before to drop the tailgate. The tailgate has a soft dampener built into it. This time the tailgate came of. I'm glad I was within arm's distance of him. I was able to grab the tailgate before it hit or perhaps could have crushed him. This could have Caused severe bodily injury or death. They were absolutely no warning signs before the situation happened. Upon further investigation you can find the right passenger bushing in multiple different pieces. Not sure what caused the failure in this part. But if I wasn't close by it could have seriously injured my child. And I suppose if the tailgate wasn't properly latched driving down the highway the tailgate could have come off also causing a large accident.

This VIN number was totaled due to a bent frame after being rear ended on June 10th. I fear my insurance company (USAA) will attempt to commit fraud by not reporting the title as salvage.

Our nonprofit agency raised funds to purchase a brand new $57,000 Tacoma for our food bank deliveries and when it was shipped to Molokai from Oahu, the air conditioner does not work. With the current heat wave, it is a danger! I called the sales dept, who referred me to management, who referred me to customer care who referred me to service dept who referred me to customer care again who referred me to sales. I called 7 different entities...an endless loop. NO ONE will help us. There is no "authorized " Toyota dealer on our island and it will cost me $1000+ to ship it to Honolulu, just to have someone tell us what’s wrong. I don't even believe this is the way the mission and vision of Toyota is carried out. The way we have been treated and devalued as a cash paying customer is beyond ethical. As a customer who just did massive fundraising to make a cash purchase for our non-profit agency of a once in a life time vehicle, I don't think I should have been disrespected, devalued, ignored or told to pay to ship the truck back at an expense of $1000+ to the agency. ITS A NEW TRUCK!!!!!! The air conditioner does not work at all. It blows hot air. The vehicle has 23 miles on the Odometer and to me, that is a new truck that should have worked. However, I realize also, things can be defective, that is why there is a warranty. But we should not have to pay for the shipping, to have a mechanic on Oahu look at it. We have plenty of mechanics on our island, but no "authorized" dealer. I offered to pay for the Toyota mechanic to fly over as that would be cheaper, but no one agreed to doing that. I offered the services of certified mechanics here on island to fix it and submit the bill to Toyota but this too was denied. I don't see how this behavior is in alignment with the vision and guiding principles of the Toyota company's mission as I read it online. I am completely shocked at the callous way I was treated and how NO ONE will assist beyond telling me to call someone else.

I was in a severe T-none car accident and the airbags did not deploy. The power restrain activated, the seat locked in place but no airbag deployment. The car that hit me was going at aprox. 50-60MPH. I could have died and so could have my 11 & 6 year old passengers. My sister got cought in between the cabin space and the impacted door.

Frame is rusting away. I bought this vehicle in 2019 from a dealership and was just informed of this issue. No recall for this vehicle is showed on the website or Toyota dealership. I think the original owner along with previous owner never looked at the recall for this vehicle. I’m not sure what else to do.

1. Fuel door hinge broke. Checked on Tacoma forums, this is a common problem with 2005-2015 model. 2. Not a safety risk. 3. Toyota does not acknowledge this is as a problem for the 2005-2015 model. 4. Vehicle has been inspected for repair estimate. 5. Prior to hinge breaking, the fuel door was not mating properly.

The contact owns a 2003 Toyota Tacoma. The contact stated that the entire subframe of the vehicle was rusted due to severe corrosion. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who confirmed the subframe corrosion. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 200,000. The VIN was not available. The contact stated that there was an opportunity to have the frame of the vehicle coated but that make the corrosion worse. The contact feels as though the vehicle is unsafe to drive.

I had an accident over a year ago and the airbags did not deploy then I ask the guy that fixed it told me that it didn't have the sensor on the front of my truck, and I wonder why. Now I realized the never saw that sensor on my truck, and want to know what is happening with my truck if other vehicles are involved in the same situation. Sincerely: [XXX]. When starting especially in the morning my brake pedal is very mushy and goes very near the floor. When driving and have to break it sometimes goes down a little too far. The dealer said this was normal. I do not feel it is safe. I've never had a vehicle do this. If this is safe I don't want it.
