Was never notified of Class Action suit for rusted frame and replacement. Frame is swiss cheese on a vehicle that has 37,500 miles on it. The body is perfect but the frame is unsafe, did not pass inspection and unrepairable other than a frame replacement. I'm sure there are more of us out there. They performed "rust prevention" but there is no indication of rust. They inspected within 12 years of purchase date but did not replace. There is no way that this extent of rust happened in 2 years.

Frame is totally rusted out and crumbling. Unrepairable. There was a class action suit for this to be replaced, a recall to be replaced for years 2005-2010. The vehicle's body is in excellent condition, mechanically very sound but dangerous and could collapse within a few months.

- #11580912April 3, 2024UNKNOWN OR OTHER, BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA
The camera is horrible. Very gritty and grainy I took it to the dealership they agreed. Tried replacing but it is still bad. I previously owned a 2020 Rav 4 and the camera was very crisp and clear. Camera should be just as good if not better for a truck. They have more blind spots. This has been an issue since I purchased the vehicle in December 2023 which is only about 5 months.

The front driver's seat is loose and has movement/play. Described by dealer service tech as a 'wobble'. Seat is not fully secure/stable. Vehicle was taken to original delivery dealer (Dublin Toyota, 4321 Toyota Dr, Dublin CA 94568) for inspection, RO#[XXX]. The vehicle was returned without the issue being corrected. Received verbal response that the dealer was not able to do anything about it (incl replacement of components, etc. and was told other 2023 Model Year Tacomas exhibit the same behavior of the loose driver's seat). Called and spoke with Toyota Brand Engagement (800) 331-4331 as instructed by the service advisor. Ticket was recorded as case [XXX] and was closed without solving the issue. I was advised by the Toyota case in that case [XXX], where the agent recommended I speak with another dealer (Livermore Toyota) to get a second opinion before the case could get escalated. The vehicle was not repaired and I was sent home with the loose seat. Per the description from Repair Order [XXX], on [XXX]: "Cause: DRIVER'S SEAT SEEMS LOOSE AND WOBBLES.REMOVE SEAT ASSEMBLY AND CHECK ALL HARDWARE.EVERYTHING CHECKED OK.REINSTALL SEAT AND TIGHTEN MOUNTING BOLTS.CHECK WITH ANOTHER 2023 TACOMA VIN [XXX] . DRIVER'S SEAT OPERATION IS THE SAME. THANK YOU 2426" I strongly believe that a loose driver's seat that exhibits 'wobble' is unsafe and also causes discomfort / lack of confidence for the driver. - #11578089March 18, 2024FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, POWER TRAIN
The Tacoma still has only 10,000 original miles. We yearly replace the oil when we have our annual vehicle inspection. The truck has been trouble since the beginning. Early on I noticed when going downhill, the automatic transmission seems to slip when applying the gas. I have taken the truck back to the dealer in Kona to be told that it is not part of the rear end differential recall some years ago. I asked them to make a notation of this should the transmission or rear end differential fail in the future. Recently, we received an informational letter from Toyota regarding something about a possible faulty high pressure fuel pump. I made an appointment at the dealer and since I was there asked them for tire rotation, oil change and annual vehicle inspection. I explained to the service writer that I still believe there is a rear end or transmission problem. At first, she said, the recall was never done and later said it was done. More importantly, I have been smelling gasoline when I exit the truck although I see no visible fuel on the ground. I believe that this is related to the fuel pump issue which I received the letter from you. I was told several hours after I dropped off the truck that the fuel smell was not related to the letter I received.

Hi, i had the recall preventive performed by toyota for rusting and corrosion of the frame. Now, the vehicle is rusting throughout the frame and is very very unsafe to drive. TOYOTA is claiming that it was a program and not a recall and had no documentation to prove. Toyota performed the recall and now the frame is still at risk to crack and very unsafe.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT PROGRAM 23TE08. The initial notice went out, I need to know a remedy or at least a timeline of events. I'm attempting to trade my vehicle and this paint issue is affecting my trade-in value. In addition to the paint peeling, I've also encountered several random circular areas of dull paint in different areas of the truck. the paint issue needs addressed.
