Driver side visor fell down. It has a faulty plastic bracket. This is the second time this has happened. The first time, Toyota issued a recall and replaced the broken visor. However, the same problem has occurred with the replacement visor. It is a safety issue as it can be difficult to drive in the sun without a visor.

Interior structure problem re: dashboard. My 2007 Toyota Camry LE sedan has just over 40K. This is a one-owner 4 door sedan. I bought this as "new" at Venice Toyota in FL on 3/29/07. I moved back to RI in 8/2007. About 2018, while cleaning the inside, I noticed that the dashboard seemed sticky. I had a dog and couldn't get the dashboard clean. I've tried several times to clean it (including some gel that's supposed to work) but everything sticks to it. I just found out where I can report it or I would have done this sooner. I had looked up my auto when I was checking for any outstanding recalls. I've had 2 minor recalls fixed. Reading further, others had the same problem, had contacted dealers about a recall which supposedly had gone out but it didn't. Toyota won't acknowledge the problem nor will the dealers. I am faithful about maintenance but the dashboard is disgusting. I also noticed that others have the same complaint and some are from South Florida as mine is. When is Toyota going to address this problem? It's not just 2007 Camrys - it's many models and years. There must be something they can do - it's their problem and they need to address it. Thank you.

I marked engine on the above as I did Not see anything about gas pedal acceleration. At a slow speed turning a sharp right to enter a drive through restaurant, I had my right foot on the brake. The car suddenly accelerated on its own, causing me to jump a curb & lose control. I landed between the restaurant building & drive through, taking out the signs & drive through. It was sudden & a nightmare. Busted both front tires & We had to get a flatbed truck to remove. Some employees there remarked that I missed a pole by a few inches. They helped me out of the car, taking me inside the restaurant. I was crying & very emotional, but explained what happened. I phoned my husband immediately & he came. I didn’t hit another car or hurt anybody. I was stoved up & shook up, but otherwise ok. I did get a back X-ray later because of pain, but thankfully no compressed fracture. The police was called & took my registration & helped get a tow truck. I explained what happened. My husband asked that it be taken to the a Toyota dealership, but it was not as they do not have a repair shop there. The car is in a local shop for repair that the adjuster recommended. Have not received the first part for it as yet. Insurance adjuster says $8500 in damage by phone, but we do not have a copy of this appraisal as yet. We will need to take it to Toyota for testing as soon as repairs are done & driveable, but regardless, this is really what happened & I will be afraid to drive this car again. This is vey dangerous & I could have been killed or killed somebody. We bought our car new in Early 2019 & I really liked it. I’m posting this now because Toyota should want to know this information asap for the safety of their customers!

- #11458490March 27, 2022SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
Partial brake assist and auto emergency braking failure to engage contributed to a rear end collision on February 12, 2022. Toyota contracted with an outside engineering firm to inspect brake system and their report did not address the lack of engagement of the auto emergency braking system part of Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 which the enabling switch does not activate. The Toyota Legal Claims department issued an incomplete report that they claim absolves the vehicle but after multiple attempts to reach the issuing department noone has addressed my questions or concerns. Therefore I consider this an incomplete and unresolved safety issue .

Breaks are not working. ABS is acting like it is in panic situation. it happens randomly. I almost went and hit somebody due to car not stopping. I am able to reproduce the issue but Toyota dealer is not accepting it. he says without seeing fault code in Toyota diagnostic tool they can't do anything. they are asking me continuously drive the vehicle. if I drive knowingly there is an issue with ABS who will be liable for accident or death. I saw few NHTSA complains raised similar to my issue. Here they are. NHTSA Compliant id: 11327259 and 11321857. Please take this seriously and help us out. There are many owners experiencing similar issues for the same model vehicles. They have done recall on hybrid model but non hybrid vehicles have same problem. you can reach me at [XXX]. I have experienced issues with my vehicle when shifting since 2017 withal minor “shudder” after shifting into a higher gear. Now, my vehicle has begun to have trouble shifting from first gear to second. When shifting, the vehicle will abruptly stop before catching in second gear and continuing. It has become a concern as I am not confident to pull out onto busy roads.

- #11457779March 22, 2022ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, AIR BAGS, EXTERIOR LIGHTING
At about 60,000 miles, the turn signal popped out making it unsafe to drive. I had the turn signal replaced, then at about 66,000 miles, the horn quit working and the Airbag light came on. This was not only a safety issue but caused the vehicle to fail state inspection. I contacted Toyota to reimburse me for the expense incurred for replacing the Spiral Cable but they refused based on the reason that the 36000 miles warranty had expired. In my opinion, the issue I faced was due to a faulty Spiral Cable and the 36000 miles warranty clause should not apply. There are other Toyota owners who have reported the same issue to NHTSA. 2009 Toyota Corolla was recalled for the same defect but Camry was not. Based on the complaints I have seen, Camry should have been recalled too.

Since I purchased the vehicle I have been smelling a weird smell as if the AC unit is leaking. It has been brought in to Toyota multiple times and they could not find the issue, but I still smell it.
