SummaryFlash: Diesel Exhaust Fluid Control Unit (DCU) Updates Customers must experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination and the vehicle must SYMPTOM: exhibit/set one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs): ● **P20BC-00 - Reductant Suction Line Heater Control Circuit High. - in Active or Stored status. ● P202C-00 - Reductant Tank Heater Control Circuit High. - in Active or Stored status. ● P20E8-00 - Reductant Pressure Too Low. - in Active or Stored status. ● P209F-00 - Reductant Tank Heater Control Circuit Performance. - in Active or Stored status. ● P208B-00 - Reductant Pump 1 Control Performance. - in Active or Stored status.** ● P218F-00 - Reductant No Flow Detected. ● P249E-00 - Closed Loop SCR Reductant Injection Control At Limit - Flow Too High. **Customers may also comment one or more the following: ● "Service Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) System See Dealer" message in the Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC). NOTE: This message will appear after the DEF pump fails to build pressure, a fault is set and the message continues to be displayed for 80 km (50 mi) of driving. ● "Speed Will Be Limited To 8 kph (5 mph)" message displayed in the EVIC. CAUTION! If the vehicle is not taken to the dealership BEFORE reaching 241 km (150 mi) from when the "Service Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) System See Dealer" message is displayed, the vehicles speed will be limited to 8 kph (5 mph).** ● Reduced acceleration from turbo. This bulletin involves inspecting and possibly reprogramming the DCU with the latest available software.
