Automatic Transmission Dealer Inventory This bulletin applies to 2WD vehicles, it does not apply to Titan XD. *****Dealer Announcement***** Nissan is conducting a dealer inventory quality action to perform several inspections on 6,705 specific 2017 Titan (non-XD) Gasoline 2-wheel drive vehicles identified in Service Comm. Dealer will perform the following: - A/T Fluid Leak Inspection - Steering Gear Leak Inspection Affected vehicles are not subject to stop sale and are either currently in dealer inventory or assigned and in transit to the dealer. Nissan requests dealers to complete this inspection prior to sale to help ensure customer satisfaction. *****What Dealers Should Do***** 1. Verify if vehicles currently in new dealer inventory are affected by this service action using Service Comm I.D. PC561 - New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DCS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). - Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information - Please continue to check newly arriving inventory for campaign applicability. 2. Use the attached procedure to inspect the vehicle and, if necessary, repair. 3. The service department should submit the applicable warranty claim for the action(s) performed so it can be closed on Service Comm and release the vehicle.

2016 - 2017 TITAN XD; COOLANT HEATER (ENGINE BLOCK HEATER) INSTALLATION This bulletin applies only to vehicles equipped with Cummins 5.0L Diesel engine. SERVICE INFORMATION Some customers may want to use a coolant heater (engine block heater) for their vehicle when ambient temperatures are below 32°F (0°C). 2016 Titan XD: - Some were not equipped from the factory with a coolant heater or cord. - Some were equipped with coolant heater, but not a cord. 2017 Titan XD: Was equipped from the factory with a coolant heater, but some were not equipped with the coolant heater cord. If a customer chooses to purchase the parts and labor for installation of a coolant heater and/or coolant heater cord, use the Service Procedure in this bulletin for installation instructions.

ECM Reprogram Dealer Inventory *****Dealer Announcement***** Nissan is conducting a dealer inventory service action to update Electronic Control Module (ECM) software on 7,719 specific 2017 Titan and 4,759 Armada vehicles identified in Service Comm. On the affected vehicles, the ECM software is being updated to refine the MIL illumination logic for the exhaust gas temperature sensor. Affected vehicles are not subject to stop sale and are either currently in dealer inventory or assigned and in transit to the dealer. Nissan requests dealers to complete this software update prior to sale to ensure customer satisfaction. *****What Dealers Should Do***** PLEASE FOLLOW THE ATTACHED REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Verify if vehicles currently in new dealer inventory are affected by this service action using Service Comm I.D. PC522 for Titan or P6334 for Armada. - New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DCS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). - Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information - Please continue to check newly arriving inventory for campaign applicability. 2. BLUETOOTH, USB, AND AUX FUNCTION DIAGNOSTIC TOOL SERVICE INFORMATION The Enhanced Multi-Media Interface Tester (EMMIT) J-51922 is a new special tool that tests the functionality of the following features: Bluetooth o Pairing/Connecting o Phonebook Access Profile o Hands Free Profile (for calls) o Bluetooth Audio test o Message Access Profile (for text messages, if so equipped) USB o Tests USB music playback o Tests USB music browsing capability AUX o Tests AUX Jack playback Use EMMIT to diagnose symptoms related to Bluetooth, USB, and AUX. If EMMIT passes diagnostic tests, the symptom is caused by the customer?s phone and not caused by the AV control unit. DO NOT replace the AV control unit. NOTE: If an AV control unit is replaced for multi-media issues that can be tested with EMMIT, a printed copy of the EMMIT diagnostic results must be included with the returned unit. See page 2 for more information about the EMMIT tool.

SERVICE INFORMATION The end cap chrome trim (front and rear) on the step rails (running boards) is now available as a separate part (see Parts Information). If the end cap chrome trim needs to be replaced for any reason (fell off, damaged, etc.), replace only the end cap chrome trim. NOTE: - The end cap chrome trim can be replaced without removing the end cap or step pad. - DO NOT replace the entire step rail when only the end cap chrome trim is needed. - Refer to Installation Tips on the next page

2016-2017 TITAN XD; CORRECT PARKING ANGLE OF VEHICLE WHEN USING ENGINE BLOCK HEATER SERVICE INFORMATION When using the engine block heater (if equipped) on an Applied Vehicle (engine block heater is plugged in): - Vehicle should be parked on a level surfaces. Or - If a level surface is not available, the vehicle should be parked with the front of the truck lower than the rear (nose down). CAUTION: Use of the engine block heater when parked with the front of the vehicle higher than the rear (5 degrees or more) may cause the engine block heater to become damaged and/or inoperative.
