The component that failed/malfunctioned is the instrument cluster and it is available for inspection upon request. The instrument cluster which displays the RPMs, miles, gas gauge, vehicle temperature, speedometer and other pertinent information while operating the vehicle has started to go out. If the entire panel goes completely out there is no way to see any of this information which could also lead to odometer fraud as well as other notifications that are displayed on there going unnoticed. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership to see what would need to be done. They stated the entire instrument cluster would need to be replaced. I feel like this should not already be happening on a not even 2 year old car. There was no warning or any other symptoms of the problem prior to this happening in February of 2026. The cost to replace the entire panel would be over $1200 and after speaking with one of the service technicians at the dealership he stated that this was not the first vehicle he has had in with the same issue. Nissan needs to address this issue because if you can't even get a new vehicle to last 2 years or 45,000 miles before it has a malfunction like this then what are we doing.

My 2022 Nissan Pathfinder was purchased new and now has 27150 miles. On April 9 2026, I was having my summer tires installed and was told by the tire shop that the rear brakes were worn out and needed replacement. I contacted the Nissan dealership who quoted a cost of $570 for brake replacement. There was no warning lamps or other symptoms but there is only 3mm of brake pad left. Per the dealership, at 2mm the pads will begin grinding on the rotors. The vehicle has not been used to tow or used off road and the brake pads should last much longer then 27K miles. They, or the brake system components installed by Nissan, are obviously defective.

Our brakes are making a sound & rough when braking. The dealership has not evidently inspected as should until today, when we told them to look at. Now they say our rear brakes need replacing, they are at a 1 & need attention immediately. Front brakes are good at a 6. We questioned them with 60,303 & we have NEVER towed anything why the rear & not front, no explanation. I see in recalls/complaints where there are other 2024 Pathfinder owners with same/similar complaints: [XXX] ; [XXX] ; [XXX] . I am reporting a recurring defect involving the sunroof drain system in my 2023 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum that has caused multiple interior flooding incidents. The vehicle has flooded three separate times due to failure of the sunroof drainage system. Water enters the cabin during rain events and accumulates inside the vehicle, causing damage to the interior and raising concerns about potential electrical system exposure and safety hazards. This issue has been addressed by a Nissan dealership on multiple occasions; however, the defect has not been permanently resolved and continues to reoccur. The repeated failure of the drainage system indicates a potential design or manufacturing defect rather than normal wear or maintenance-related issues. Water intrusion into the cabin creates safety concerns including: Potential damage to electrical components Risk of mold and air quality issues inside the vehicle Driver distraction and reduced vehicle reliability Despite multiple repair attempts, the issue persists. Nissan has declined further assistance due to the vehicle being outside of the warranty period, even though the defect is ongoing and unresolved. I am submitting this complaint to document a potential systemic issue with the sunroof drainage system that may affect other vehicles of the same model.

The contact owns a 2024 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, while opening the rear hatch, there was water leaking into the vehicle from the left and right sides of the hatch door. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that there were flaws with the seal, and the seal and hatch door needed to be replaced. The vehicle was partially repaired by replacing the seals, but the failure reoccurred approximately a month later. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was determined that the rear hatch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to parts not being available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 33,000.

Vehicle: 2024 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek 4WD VIN: [XXX] Mileage at failure: approximately 26,000 miles Component: Service brakes Description: Rear brake pads completely worn at 26,000 miles. Front brake pads remain in good condition with normal wear. Vehicle is driven under normal conditions — no towing, no off-road use, no aggressive driving. Rear brake pad part number D4060-6TA5B is the same part used across 2022-2025 Pathfinders. This pad cross-references to the Nissan Altima, a sedan weighing approximately 3,400 lbs. The 2024 Pathfinder Rock Creek weighs over 4,600 lbs and is rated to tow 6,000 lbs. The pad is not engineered for this vehicle’s weight or intended use. The fact that front brakes show normal wear while rears are completely gone proves this is not a driving behavior issue. The rear brake system is receiving disproportionate braking force relative to the capacity of the pads installed. This is a known pattern across the 2022-2024 Pathfinder lineup. A class action lawsuit has been filed: [XXX] v. Nissan North America, Inc., Case No. 3:25-cv-01183, [XXX] , filed 10/13/2025. NHTSA has received multiple prior complaints documenting identical rear brake failure on 2022-2024 Pathfinders at mileages as low as 12,000 miles. Dealer (Peters Nissan of Nashua, [XXX] ) declined warranty repair. Nissan Consumer Affairs notified, Case #XXX. Nissan classifies this as “normal wear and tear” despite failure occurring well within the 3-year/36,000-mile warranty period and despite front brakes showing no comparable wear. This is a safety defect. Premature rear brake failure without warning reduces stopping ability and puts the driver, passengers, and other motorists at risk. - #11726282March 23, 2026BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS, BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING
When sitting in a parking space and when you put the car in reverse, the front sensors pick up whats in front of the car making the beeping sound. If a car is driving by in the rear it does not pickup that car driving by as it is picking up the items in the front of the car. When in reverse, the front sensors should not go off, only the rear sensors should go off. This issue can cause someone to not pay attention to the beeping because they think they are beeping for the front sensors and cause someone to back into someone driving by.

The contact owns a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked inside the garage, the hatch glass shattered unexpectedly. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, no cause for the failure was found. The vehicle was not repaired. Upon further investigation, the contact became aware that several consumers had reported that the rear glass, front windshield, and sunroof glass had broken without impact due to the manufacturing of the thin-tempered glass. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact that a Nissan regional representative would reach out with assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000.

- #11725558March 19, 2026AIR BAGS
I am submitting this complaint to report a serious safety issue involving the airbag system in my vehicle. The airbag warning light has illuminated on the dashboard, and I also received a notification indicating that the airbag system may not function properly in the event of a crash. This creates a significant safety risk, as the airbags may fail to deploy when needed. I contacted an authorized Nissan dealership regarding this issue. The dealership informed me that they have received similar complaints from multiple vehicles of the same generation as mine. However, they advised me to wait for a potential recall rather than proceed with immediate diagnostic and repair, stating that repairs at this time would be very expensive despite the vehicle being only three years old. Given the critical safety function of airbags, this situation is extremely concerning. A potential failure of the airbag system could result in serious injury or death in the event of an accident. I am requesting that this issue be investigated promptly to determine whether a defect exists that warrants a safety recall. It appears this may be a broader issue affecting multiple vehicles, not an isolated incident

I was driving the vehicle and it just stopped on the highway, no warning no kickback no precursor that something was wrong with the vehicle, and it stopped, the warning sign: Not available System malfunction came on and then the entire electrical system shut down. I had to have the car towed home because it would not start. I went to the dealer on several attempts and no help was rendered. I was told to either come back or there are too many cars, just really getting the run around for a matter that is fatal. I was driving with my family in the car and it just stopped. I almost had an accident, it could have been fatal. This is unacceptable.

On two separate occasions I placed my child in the car and then placed my bag in the front passenger seat of the car with my key fob in the bag. After closing the door, the car would automatically lock as if I had walked away from it with my keys. But the key fob was in the car. My car was not turned on and on one occasion it was 70+ degrees outside. I had no way of accessing my car and my child was locked inside it. Luckily things turned out okay, but now I can never trust my keys or my car. I always have my keys on me and never leave them in the car. I know it’s a safety feature for these cars to stay unlocked whenever keys are in the car. My car however, seems to have an issue with this feature. It’s impossible to duplicate so I’m not sure taking it into the shop would make a difference.
