SummaryJuke Timing Chain Voluntary Service Campaign ? Expiration Notice ***** Campaign Summary***** Nissan launched this Voluntary Service Campaign on April 25, 2014 on certain 2011-2013 Nissan Juke vehicles to offer customers the opportunity to replace the timing chain, chain guides, and crank sprocket at no charge to the customer for parts and labor. Nissan has made multiple attempts to notify customers concerning this service campaign and informed them that the campaign will end September 28. Nissan wants to inform dealers to open repair orders on or before September 28, 2017 in order to have timing chain replacement covered by this service campaign. Vehicles presented for repair after this date will not be covered by this service campaign and any repair will be performed at customer expense if the vehicle?s warranty has expired. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Service Comm will deactivate P4213 on any unrepaired VINs on September 29, 2017. - Repair orders must be opened on or before September 28, 2017 2. Dealers should submit any open claims for the timing chain replacement under this campaign by October 6, 2017. Claims submitted after this date will be rejected.

SummaryBLUETOOTH, USB, AND AUX FUNCTION DIAGNOSTIC TOOL SERVICE INFORMATION The Enhanced Multi-Media Interface Tester (EMMIT) J-51922 is a new special tool that tests the functionality of the following features: Bluetooth o Pairing/Connecting o Phonebook Access Profile o Hands Free Profile (for calls) o Bluetooth Audio test o Message Access Profile (for text messages, if so equipped) USB o Tests USB music playback o Tests USB music browsing capability AUX o Tests AUX Jack playback Use EMMIT to diagnose symptoms related to Bluetooth, USB, and AUX. If EMMIT passes diagnostic tests, the symptom is caused by the customer?s phone and not caused by the AV control unit. DO NOT replace the AV control unit. NOTE: If an AV control unit is replaced for multi-media issues that can be tested with EMMIT, a printed copy of the EMMIT diagnostic results must be included with the returned unit. See page 2 for more information about the EMMIT tool.

SummaryPLASTIC INTERIOR TRIM PROTECTIVE COVERING REMOVAL SERVICE INFORMATION Vehicles are delivered with plastic interior trim protective covering on the front and rear seats, front and rear door panel finishers, steering wheel, and sun visors (see examples on page 2). When removing the protective covering, care must be used to avoid scuffs, scrapes, cuts, and other abrasive contact to interior trim components. DO NOT use sharp objects like razor blades, box cutters, knives, etc. when removing the plastic interior trim protective covering. IMPORTANT All soft trim described in this bulletin is on automatic return to NNA. Any trim found damaged in the way described in this bulletin will be charged back to the dealer.

SummarySERVICE INFORMATION Temporary tire Flat Spotting is common on New Dealer In-Stock vehicles that have not been occasionally moved. Flat Spotting can occur after the vehicle has been parked (not moved) for a few days, or longer. In most cases it is temporary. In extreme cases it can be permanent. Vehicles should be moved every 30 days, in one direction only, enough to rotate the tires 90° (see Figure 1). Moving vehicles as shown will prevent tire Flat Spotting. SummaryIMPORTANT: Metal debris and friction material may become trapped in the radiator, cooling hoses, bypass valve or external CVT fluid cooler. This debris can contaminate the newly serviced transmission, control valve or torque converter. In severe cases this debris can block or restrict flow and may cause damage to the newly serviced CVT. SERVICE INFORMATION When a CVT, control valve or torque converter replacement is necessary for one of the applied vehicles, the CVT transmission fluid coolers (radiator based fluid cooler and external auxiliary cooler if present) must be flushed.
