  NISSAN: EXTERIOR LAMP FOGGING. OCCASIONALLY WATER IS NOTICED IN THE EXTERIOR LAMPS. THIS IS GENERALLY NOT DUE TO A DEFECT. ALL CURRENT EXTERIOR LAMP ASSEMBLIES ARE VENTED TO THE ATMOSPHERE (NOT SEALED). THIS IS NECESSARY TO ALLOW FOR EXPANSION AND CONTRACTION OF AIR FROM TEMPERATURE VARIATIONS (WARMER OR COLDER) WITHOUT DAMAGE TO THE LAMP. MOISTURE IN THE AIR SOMETIMES TRAVELS INTO AND OUT OF THE LAMP ASSEMBLY THROUGH THESE VENTS. CERTAIN ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS MAY CAUSE MOISTURE TO CONDENSE. Use the following resources to perform diagnostics and confirm the cause of stored DTCs. ASIST: - Appropriate Service Manual diagnostic procedures - Applicable Technical Service Bulletins (TSB). Leak Test: - With CONSULT-III plus - WORK SUPPORT >> EVAP SYSTEM CLOSE. NOTE: Use Essential Tool J-42909 or equivalent to pressurize the EVAP system. - With a "Smoke" leak detection machine. Refer to the machine's Operator's Manual for proper use. Make sure the customer is informed of the proper fuel filler cap installation.
