SummaryCenter Seat Latch Ownerâs Manual Addendum Voluntary Service Campaign Campaign Summary: Nissan is providing owners of approximately 30,733 MY2021 Nissan Altima (L34) vehicles with a supplemental Ownerâs Manual addendum booklet. The 2021 Model Year Altima is now rated for Rear Center Seat Latch usage, which was not included in the Ownerâs Manual. Customers will be asked to place the supplemental Ownerâs Manual addendum booklet, which includes this information, inside the vehicleâs glove box. What Dealers Should Do: 1.Verify if new vehicles in their inventory are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History â Open Campaigns I.D. PC789. â¢New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). ï§Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information ï§SERVICE COMM will only be active for vehicles in new vehicle dealer inventory. 2.If a dealer receives a supplemental Ownerâs Manual addendum booklet for a vehicle they have retailed, currently have in their new vehicle or pre-owned inventory, or a Nissan Rental Car (NRC), the dealer should either forward the ownerâs manual addendum to the current owner or add the addendum to the glove box of any affected vehicle they currently control. 3.Customers receiving this addendum booklet have been advised to insert this booklet into their glove box.

SummaryPREVENT FRONT AXLE THREAD DAMAGE DURING NUT REMOVAL SERVICE INFORMATION If an Applied Vehicle needs to have a front axle nut removed, for any reason, the staking of the nut into the axle keyway must first be removed. The essential tool (part number # J-52982, Figure 1) required to remove the nut staking, is called out as a âCape Chiselâ in the Electronic Service Manual (ESM), and must be used to prevent thread damage to the axle (see Figure 2 on page 2). ï· The Cape Chisel arrived at dealers in December of 2020. ï· Damaged threads, due to improper removal of the stake placed in the nut, will not be covered by warranty. For information on using the Cape Chisel, refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM): Section TRANSMISSION & DRIVELINE > FRONT AXLE > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FRONT DRIVE SHAFT > LH/RH.

Due to a manufacturing issue that has since been resolved, the subject vehicles may have socket nuts that are not torqued to specification. Affected vehicles are subject to stop sale and are either currently in dealer inventory or assigned and in transit to the dealer. *****What Dealers Should Do***** PLEASE FOLLOW THE ATTACHED INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this quality action using Service Comm or DBS National Service History â Open Campaigns I.D. PC795 ⢠New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). ï§ Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information ⢠Please continue to check newly arriving inventory for campaign applicability. 2.
