The Cam Shaft and the boost pressure need to be replaced immediately. I took my car to a Mercedes Benz dealership in Long Island, NY for a regular oil change (nothing was wrong with my car when it went in for the oil change). When they gave me back my car I literally got 1 and half blocks from the dealership and my car was jerking violently and the check engine light came on and has not gone off since that day. I took the car right back to the dealership and of course they are saying they did nothing to make this happen and are refusing to cover the repairs for the Cam Shaft and boost pressure to make my car run correctly again. This is a dangerous car to drive now because due to this same problem the car has random issues accelerating and has put me in dangerous situations while driving on the highway and on the street. The interesting part is Mercedes Benz knows that this is a serious issue with this car because I was told that by the people that work at the dealership that Mercedes is covering the full repairs for what my car is going through but they are only doing it for people who's cars are under 120,000 miles. My car is at 133,000 miles and they are refusing to cover the repairs for me. My complaint number with Mercedes Benz customer service is 2-29420067413. They are not being helpful because they told me that every Mercedes dealership in the United States is independently owned besides the one in Manhattan NY. They are telling me that even though they are the manufacturer each dealership makes their own decisions. This is absolutely absurd and my car is dangerous to drive at this point. They want $5,000 and counting from me to repair my car for something that they messed up on and that they know is a known issue. Please help me get this resolved. Thank You

- #11476508July 29, 2022POWER TRAIN, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
Reported to local dealer and corporate office about the issues with shift module not shifting at random, meaning that the vehicle won't shift from park to drive or reverse, and so forth. The local dealer tried to reprogram the software, but the problem still persists. When plugging in my OBD II & DTC readers, code U0103 appairs which translates to "Lost communication with gear shift control module". My concern with this is that I've had this issue while in traffic, which would make my vehicle a hazard. When it comes to the collision prevention system, the system randomly turns on and off, meaning that when it's needed it might turn on, but when it's not needed it randomly turns on. Once again, addressed this with a local dealer and Mercedes Benz corporate with no avail. My concerns here is that the vehicle could prematurely brake causing an accident or not brake at all causing an accident.

Check engine lite with code P052E that is "Positive Crank Case Ventilation Regulation Valve Performance" at around 65K miles. This might pose danger with engine failure. the problem has been confirmed by an independent service center. Dealer said that this problem is common to the year and model of my car and that the manufacturer has replaced this piece in newer models. Since the manufacturer already know this issue and replaced the piece with a better one for newer model. I believe this part should be recalled and replaced by the manufacturer. it is crazy amount of money for the consumer to fix this.

Yes, the problem has been reproduced and confirmed by an independent service center 4. The vehicle or component has not been inspected by the manufacture, police, insurance representatives. It's only been inspected by my mechanice. 5. No warning lamps or symptoms appeared prior to subframe failure

I noticed my Mercedes 2013 C300 (approx 89,000 miles) was acting peculiar when braking, it basically fishtailed like i was on ice, especially at a high speed on the interstate. It was very scary. It was also making clunking noises and did not handle on curves very well. Brought it to a local garage as the nearest dealer is over an hour away. Found out the rear subframe is broken on the rear passenger side and the other side very close to breaking. Not only that, but when I called a garage that specializes in German cars, he immediately guessed it was a C Class Mercedes, and when I googled it, this issue came up repeatedly. How this has not been addressed by Mercedes is beyond me, will it take a horrendous crash? Because I was almost a statistic. No warning lamps or messages. This design flaw needs addressed immediately. And now I have no vehicle as it is UNSAFE to drive and will cost me around $3,000 to fix IF they can get the part. Sent an email to Mercedes Benz, they advised recalls and service campaigns are VIN specific and to contact NHTSA. And the email closed with "Best wishes for safe and pleasant driving."

The dealer was notified of the failure and informed her that there were no recalls on the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred her to the NHTSA. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was unknown. The VIN was not available.

This is in regard to my 2015 Mercedes Benz C300 4 matic. I was driving at the normal speed of approximately 65mph on the highway. When out of nowhere, I heard a very loud wind noise. I was terrified since I was alone and was not sure why or what happened. I pulled over and noticed the front panel of my Sunroof glass was missing. I was very disappointed as I have always believed that MB has had a strong reputation for their cars. I circled back around and was able to find the part on the side of the highway, but it was broken. I have had heavy-duty tape covering the space so water cannot get in. I contacted my local MB repair shop and told me the part would be $1100 and labor would be additional.
