SummarySome 2024 Expedition/Navigator vehicles built on or before 07-Mar-2024 may exhibit a concern where the vehicle is unable to complete the trailer calibration drive for the trailer backup assistance feature. The customer will see all instructional information in the center display screen for the trailer calibration including "Drive Straight Forward To Calibrate", "Drive Left Or Right To Calibrate" and "System Calibrating", but the system will never complete the calibration process. This will prevent customers from using the feature to back up a trailer. This may be due to the software in the image processing module A (IPMA).

SummarySome 2021-2024 F-150 and 2023-2024 Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with a 3.5L EcoBoost engine may exhibit a rattle/scraping noise from the bellhousing area on start-up. This may be due to the torque converter studs contacting the engine-to-transmission spacer plate (separator plate). To correct this condition, remove the transmission and flexplate and inspect the engine-to-transmission spacer plate and torque converter studs for wear/damage. If wear/damage is found, replace the engine-to-transmission spacer plate. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 303-01 Engine - 3.5L EcoBoost (BM), Removal and Installation, Crankshaft Rear Seal. When reinstalling the starter motor, make sure the starter is flush with the engine-to-transmission spacer plate prior to tightening the studbolts. Failure to do so may result in damaging the newly installed engine-to-transmission spacer plate.

This may be due to a mud/snow/ice build-up between the radar sensor and the rear bumper cover or damage or corrosion to the radar sensor, connector or harness. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to repair damage and install shields.

SummarySome vehicles equipped with SYNC4 may exhibit one or more of the following symptoms after all currently available accessory protocol interface module (APIM) software updates have been performed. - General system performance, stability, and intermittent system reboots. - Intermittent Wireless CarPlay or Android Auto function. - Phone related concerns with intermittent No Audio or Static. - Navigation/global positioning system (GPS) related concerns through CarPlay and Android Auto. - Alexa function consistency and stability. These symptoms may be due to the software in the APIM. Replacing the APIM will not resolve these symptoms for the customer. Before returning the vehicle to the customer, review the procedures within Workshop Manual, Section 415-00 and ensure the latest APIM software is installed. Refer to General Service Bulletin (GSB) 23-7146 for help determining the latest available level of software. IMPORTANT: some module software updates will only display as available on Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) after prerequisite modules are updated. This may require the technician to update certain modules multiple times during the service visit, before the latest APIM software is accessible in FDRS. If symptoms continue after latest APIM software has been installed, inform customers that Ford is working on additional software enhancements which are expected to be delivered over-the-air (OTA) by Q4 2024 on F-150, F-150 Lightning, Mustang Mach-E, Mustang, Escape, Corsair, Expedition, Navigator, Bronco, Mustang, and 2023-2024 F-Super Duty. Software will update automatically if vehicle connectivity is enabled in the vehicle's settings. For all other vehicles with SYNC4, schedule a service visit for customers in October 2024, when the updated APIM software is expected to be available to dealers. Monitor OASIS for additional information.
