SummarySome 2023-2024 Escape/Corsair vehicles equipped with a 1.5L or 2.0L EcoBoost engine, 2024 Mustang vehicles equipped with a 2.3L EcoBoost engine, and 2024 Nautilus vehicles may exhibit an engine misfire condition with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P0301, P0302, P0303 and/or P0304 set in the powertrain control module (PCM). If the codes are stored in the PCM, remove and inspect the condition of all the spark plugs. If any spark plugs appear to be damaged, use a borescope to inspect the condition of the cylinder walls. If the cylinder walls are scored/scraped/damaged, replace the long block engine assembly (6006) to resolve this condition. If the cylinder walls are not scored/scraped/damaged, replace the damaged spark plug(s) and advise the customer that engineering is investigating this issue. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available.

SummaryVarious vehicles have had pinpoint tests, guided routines and the Warranty and Policy Manual recentlyupdated for diagnostics and repairs on SYNC generation 3 and later applications. When performingdiagnostics and repairs on SYNC Gen 3 or later, select the diagnostics tab and search for related symptoms,DTCs and keywords. The search results will be shown in the search results pane. Read and follow allTechnical Service Bulletins (TSB), Special Service Message (SSM)s or General Service Bulletin (GSB) first if abulletin specifically addresses the vehicle concern. If there are no messages, run the appropriate diagnosticpinpoint test found in the Workshop Manual (WSM). Follow the steps in the pinpoint test. Make sure to note thetitle of the guided routine, using the correct one for the vehicle's symptom or diagnostic trouble code (DTC) iscritical. Depending on the outcome of the pinpoint test, a repair validation code (RVC) may be generated eitherin the pinpoint test or Guided Routine. If the vehicle concern still exists after following the pinpoint tests orguided routine, then a manual RVC can be generated using the RVC Assist Form. A manual RVC can only begenerated once the above process has been followed.

SummarySome 2024 Nautilus vehicles may exhibit difficulty removing shipping door protectors or white RapGard during predelivery. This may be attributed to varied environmental conditions during transit from the assembly plant to the dealerships. If possible, bring the vehicle into the shop to warm up and stabilize to a room temperature closer to 20ðC (68ðF) or higher prior to removing the plastic coverings. Running the engine may help in warming the hood wrapping adhesive for easier removal. Also, reuse the white RapGard that was removed from the car to dab/remove any adhesive residue left behind. For general guidelines, refer to the Warranty and Policy Manual, Section 2.9.00 Storage of New Vehicles.

SummarySome 2024 Nautilus vehicles may have a clock that is inaccurate and/or weather information may not be able to update along with the inability to sign-in to Google Automotive Services to update or edit a profile. During this time the Google Map may also not display in the panoramic display screen next to the speedometer. This may be due to a concern with the telematics control unit (TCU) module software. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and that engineering is currently working on revised TCU module software for this concern. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available. Note that it is normal for the Google Map to not appear in the panoramic display when in calm mode or when using the Waze app.

This condition may occur after setting up a client profile and is due to the driver front seat module (DSM) software. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and that engineering is currently working on revised DSM software for this condition. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available.

SummarySome 2024 Nautilus vehicles may exhibit condensation in the rear body mounted or decklid lamp assemblies that does not affect the function of the lamp. This condensation may be due to extended overseas shipping in a high humidity environment and will clear on its own with no service necessary in most cases. A thin film of mist that forms and covers less than 50% of the inside of the lamp that clears is normal and may take as long as 48 hours to dissipate in dry weather conditions. Circular droplets that may appear but do not form a vertical drip are also normal and may take up to 1 week in dry weather conditions to fully dissipate. Condensation that does not clear after 1 week in dry weather conditions or that forms drip marks, streaks or a water puddle inside the lens is not normal and should be resolved with lamp replacement as necessary. Refer to Workshop Manual, Section 417-01 if lamp replacement is necessary.

SummaryFor 2015-2024 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with turbocharged engines and customer concern of an engine oil leak, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-00 for oil leak inspection and testing methods. Ford has evaluated turbochargers replaced for oil leak symptoms and although oil may collect on the external surface of a turbocharger, it is extremely rare for a turbocharger assembly to be the root cause of the oil leak. Careful inspection of the turbocharger oil feed and drain tubes should be performed along with the recommended WSM procedures as needed. Warranty claims for turbocharger replacement going forward will be assessed.

SummaryDuring service and repair requiring removal and replacement of a crankshaft bolt and/or crankshaft damper, achieving proper torque of the crankshaft pulley bolt is critical. Incorrect torque may allow the bolt to loosen resulting in the timing gear breaking and engine damage. Replacement of the bolt is critical to the repair and accurately following the installation procedure in the Workshop Manual (WSM) Section, 303-01 is extremely important. The bolt torque procedure can be found in the crankshaft front seal removal and installation procedure or in the engine assembly procedure.

SummarySome 2024 Nautilus and F-150 vehicles may incorrectly list the keyless entry keypad code card on the loose item checklist. 2024 Nautilus and F-150 vehicles in North America do not include keyless entry keypad code cards. Clients are now able to retrieve the vehicle's keyless entry keypad master access code in vehicle by following the instructions in the master access code card (available only on F-150) or in the Owners Manual > Keyless Entry Keypad Master Access Code. This process requires the use of two programmed intelligent access keys.

SummarySome 2024 Nautilus vehicles may exhibit low battery state of charge that may be attributed to extended transit times from the assembly plant to the dealerships. It is critical that the battery state of charge (SOC) is above 70% before delivery to the customers. The Lincoln electronic pre-delivery inspection (ePDI) process should be fully completed, which includes battery state of charge checks. Do not utilize the ePDI IDS override function to bypass these checks. If SOC is below 70% the battery must be charged with the charger's negative clamp on an engine or chassis ground. Refer to the Warranty and Policy Manual, Section 2.9.00 Storage of New Vehicles for battery charging warranty guidelines.
