The cars just stops running as you are driving. It's happened multiple times. We've changed the crankshaft sensor & cleaned the fuel system. We saw these remedies online as multiple people are having this same problem with their Hyundai.

My car lost power on a busy highway which almost caused a tractor trailer to rear end me. I had the car towed and the mechanic said the engine is bad because of issues with this engine losing oil quickly and there is no recall on it but on other years. Now I have no car but still owe money on it and can’t get to work. Luckily i wasn’t hit by the tractor trailer but this should be a recall and i should be able to get it fixed without being out thousands of dollars.

Radar equipped to front of vehicle has malfunctioned, disabling all forward safety systems and adaptive cruise control. Without this equipment functioning, cruise control is completely disabled and the vehicle will not automatically brake or provide forward warnings. The vehicle component has not been inspected, but this is a recurring issue amongst other owners of this model. There is a warning lamp that turns out that states "Check Forward Safety System"

I had my oil changed in September at McGovern Hyundai in Leominster, MA. I have the invoice on file and my app that I have with them. I went out of town on [XXX]. At approximately [XXX], I heard a loud pop, saw smoke and immediately pulled over, a large amount of oil came out of the bottom of my car. The car was undrivable and I had to have it towed to the closest Hyundai dealership in North Plainfield, NJ. They provided me with a write up that stated I need a new engine due to the damage. We called McGovern and they are claiming that is isn't their issue and to contact my insurance company or cooperate. The cost right now is over $11,000, $300 for a tow, $200 for an uber driver to my destination where I was going, $223.86 for a diagnostic test, $350 car rental for my parents to come and get me, approximately $100 in gas fees to get me and my dad lost a day of pay. This all happened just a little over 1,000 miles and there is only 14,421 miles on the car. The dealership I bought it from isn't taking responsibility for it and Hyundai has yet to. This happened on a major highway on NJ and I was left on the side of the highway alone for over 2 hours waiting for a tow. This was such a scary and dangerous position to be in. This seems to be an issue with Hyundai cars and they aren't helping. I am now without a car and no one seems to care. I was in a car accident. I was hit on the passenger rear side and the car spun out of control but none of the airbags deployed. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer but we did reach out to them and are in the process of filling out a questionnaire. The vehicle is currently being assessed in a body shop as we work with the insurance to see the final damages.

I took my car into Burns Hyundai (Marlton, NJ) for the ABS recall on [XXX], and while leaving the lot, my car doors began locking/unlocking when I braked or accelerated... I called them and took it back on the 10/09 and I was told they did everything correctly and I would have to PAY to have my vehicle diagnosed for THEIR error. I then took my car to Meineke (right next door to Hyundai) for other services recommended by Hyundai on 10/7 (which Meineke later told me that I DON'T need to have done at all) and Meineke told me that Hyundai DID cause the software issue when doing the ABS recall. I filed a complaint with Hyundai (Hyundai Consumer Affairs Case#: [XXX]) and the solution was again for me to take my vehicle back (Burns Hyundai in Marlton OR Hyundai in Burlington) for a diagnosis, and if THEY determine the software issue is not related to whatever they did for the ABS recall, I would have to foot the diagnosis bill. Because Burns Hyundai refused to take accountability from from the onset for their error(s) with my vehicle, my car doors now unlock/lock while I'm DRIVING my vehicle which is DANGEROUS especially if I have children in the back seat. Took car into closest mechanic on Saturday 11/09/24 and was informed that both engine mounts were completely shot. Mechanic informed me car was unsafe to drive. Had the car repaired as Hyundai service center was closed. I contacted Hyundai on Monday 11/11/24 to let them know what happened. Received call yesterday from case manager that since I didn't take car to Hyundai facility they would not reimburse me the money paid on the repair. Mechanic at service station said it was unsafe to drive the car of his property. The mechanic also told me he has never seen either engine mount completely shot in care that was only 4 years old.

I was driving around 34 miles per hour in traffic and my speedometer turned red indicating a problem. I attempted to accelerate in traffic and it made a funny noise and would not speed up. I was able to drive home which was about a mile away. Once I got home I turned the vehicle off and back on and the speedometer was blue again. I took it to the dealer and they advise they could not locate the problem , They put it on a level 3 scope and drove it a lot. Since then it happened as I left home and I stopped the vehicle and started it again which solved the problem. The car has around 3100 miles.I was not at risk because I was in slow traffic and could run about 30 mph during the first event.

The Hybrid charging system fails once the vehicle is above 75 mph. After about an hour or two, the vehicle will die on the highway. This is a reoccurring issue putting our safety at risk. The dealership cannot find what the problem is. Online forums show similar issues with dealerships unable to solve the problem.

When I was driving, the electronics steering light came on. The car started pulling hard to the right. Then stopped and drove normal but the light was still on. I park the car the next day the light was off drove fine Then it came back on and was doing the same thing.I brought it to the mechanic he recalibrated the steering. Worked for about a week , then it came on started doing the same. This is a very scary and not safe. When you're driving and you lose steering for no reason. It gets expensive, bringing it to the Mechanic trying to figure it out. This has happened two times and now the second time the car is going to the mechanic to fix this.
