AIR BAGS
I was driving at normal speed on XXX XXX parkway getting on to the XXX crossing, when I drove over a pothole. The passenger side curtain airbag suddenly deployed even though there was no collision. I had a [XXX] sitting in a car seat in the second row passenger side as well as another child in the third row who thank God weren't hurt. Had the airbags deployed directly on them they would have gotten hurt. My family was absolutely terrified and took a long time to calm down. I couldn't find a safe place to pull over and proceeded to the next exit which was luckily only a few hundred feet away. Visibility on the passenger side of the car was completely blocked and it was challenging to drive safely to a safe place where I can pull over. This is the exact failure described in Honda recall campaign UNW, which acknowledges incorrect SRS ECU deployment parameters causing inadvertent curtain airbag deployment from road impacts. I called the Honda recall center and they verbally committed to repairing it completely and told me to bring it to a dealership. I brought the car to Honda Universe at 1085 Ocean Ave, Lakewood NJ, an authorized Honda dealer that said they would not perform the repair unless Honda corporate sends written authorization to pay for it. I called corporate back and was told a case manager needs to be assigned within 48 hours, a process they had not previously mentioned. I am currently left with a car with deployed airbags with no approval and with no timeline provided as well as no loaner or rental vehicle offered. There were no SRS lights or indication of any issue with this system prior to this incident. The component is available for inspection at the dealer. No accident or collision occurred. The airbag deployment was caused solely by a road impact triggering the defective SRS software that Honda has acknowledged and recalled. SUSPENSION
- While stopped at a stoplight, my family and I heard a loud bang from the rear of the vehicle. The rear was visibly sagging after this. I verified with my mechanic that the driver's side rear spring coil had broken. - A broken rear spring makes the vehicle more apt for rollover when stopping quickly and puts more strain on the shocks. Not safe to drive. - Not confirmed by the dealer as I was unwilling to pay $200 for a "diagnostic". Anyone with mechanical knowledge could tell there was a rear suspension problem, and my mechanic visually verified it on a lift free of charge. - No warning lamps or inspection beyond my mechanic.

I was in a single vehicle car accident on Monday May 4th 2026 right at 6am central standard time. My 2019 honda odyssey has been totaled out by Insurance. Primarily all of the damages were on the front driver side, the air bags on both the steering wheel and under the steering wheel deployed but the side curtain airbag didn't not, and honda link also wasn't able to connect to emergency services once a crash was detected. The side curtain air bag not deploying has been pointed out and brought to my attention by almost every single person who has seen my vehicle since the accident. During the accident I swerved to avoid an animal that was running across the road and I over corrected and loss control and in a complete panic it has been assumed by everyone including myself that I accidently pressed the accelerator pedal instead of the brake.

I have encountered several instances where the vehicle goes idle at a spot light as expected. However the vehicle fails to restart when letting off the brake. Instead, the vehicle shifts into park. Once the vehicle shifts into park, I am unable to shift into drive. I must restart the vehicle and try en shift into drive. This is extremely dangerous and has happened multiple times. This vehicle is one year old and has 9k miles.

Transmission slow to respond when accelerating from a stop, also when going from reverse to drive the transmission is also slow to respond, causing interruption in that moment of traffic. The possibility of causing an accident. The incident has not been confirmed by a reputable dealer. Also, it has not been inspected by a reputable Honda dealer. there has not been any warning lights on regarding the delayed transmission shifting.

1.The USB port not working in the center console 2.Battery was draining and it was struggling to start, died at lights and barely turned back on 3. Door sensor on passenger side kept saying it was open when it wasnt 4. Air barely working 5. Wind sound whipping through the driver side 6. Raining in to the vehicle on the passenger side 7. Screen barely works, sometimes it takes forever to turn on sometimes it just wont switch or load or it just stays on a black screen 8. After taking it for the who knows how many times for the popping sound they deemed the steering column unsafe to drive and replaced that and they had the vehicle for almost a month because they couldn't get the parts, in that time they even admitted they felt the transmission issues 9. Starter was replaced after complaining for months about it dying at lights or stops and it being rough to start 10. Popping sound from the axle when you go over anything or turn the wheel 11. Back passenger door wont shut it just keeps popping back open 12. Doors dont lock when you walk away 13. Passenger doors will unlock but driver side doesn't 14. The passenger door got stuck and we had to crawl through and push it open 15. Transmission gets stuck and wont go over 30 and the rpms go up but the speed doesn't move, it shifts hard and makes a thud sound, and the engine is crazy loud 16. Has a crazy vibration coming from it 17. Will brake on its own with nothing around it 18. Was switching to sport mode on its own in the middle of driving 19. The new steering column was getting stuck and acting up and it was trying to merge in to the other lane but lane assist off 0. We had an exhaust leak 21. Pieces of trim with vents broken inside 22. Pieces of trim falling off 23. Weather stripping for the passenger back door just fell off, still waiting on them to replace that 24. The fan is extremely loud 25. When putting in to park, or drive you have to really hit the buttons because they aren't switching easy

The contact owns a 2007 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that while parked on several occasions the vehicle did not start. The contact stated that she turned the key fob forward and slowly turned it back the vehicle started. The vehicle was taken dealer where it was diagnosed that the ignition switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure reoccurred after approximately three weeks. The vehicle was towed to the same dealer where it was diagnosed that the mechanical part to the ignition switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the contact has yet to take possession of the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.

Engine would not restart after the idle stop at a traffic light. I needed to put the car in park and turn the engine off and restart it. Shortly after this, at another traffic light, the idle stop caused a delayed restart of the engine and caused the vehicle to lurch forward suddenly. This has happened once before as well.

We've been experiencing issues with the Auto Idle Stop feature (the auto restart in particular). On multiple occasions, the vehicle will automatically turn off the engine while stopped in traffic, but will fail to start back up, requiring the driverto manually turn the vehicle off and back on via push button starter (sometimes multiple restarts is necessary to get it moving again). This seems VERY similar to the investigation referenced under - EA25004.

The blind spot system was a problem when I purchased the car, it spent 15 days in service in the first 30 days of ownership to address the issues. Now, I after another light came on I discovered 9 open recalls on the vehicle that were not disclosed prior to purchase.
