Dash warning lights for engine code P2019 associated with the fuel injectors come on and off intermittently. Honda has said my injectors are not under recall despite other 2019 odysseys having been recalled for this same issue. sorry, I should make the complaint earlier since I just know I can submit it here. I have a 2019 honda odyssey EX-L since 2019 but I only have 22K miles. Starting from 2023, the vin could not pick up speed when we pushed the oil paddle; the transmission got stuck and the van could not be speed up when it was needed in highway. We came across the dangerous situations for several times. We contacted the local honda dealer for several times. They insisted that there was not any problems but they suggested we change the transmission fluid with less then 19000 miles !!!. But even we changed the fluid , the van seemed better for 2 months. I contacted honda USA. But they did not pay any attentions!!!! In the end of Jan 2025, I was making a left turn while the van got stuck there ; I almost got hit by the coming car. It was very terrifying ! I do not know what I can do since I need to use the van to pick up my three kids for school everyday I am looking forward to hearing from you soon. Top left rear exterior seam/seal on the top of the roof, under the black strip that runs front to back is leaking inside the left inner side/panel of the trunk, leaking water into all electrical components (break/turning lights) as well as the left rear seatbelt mechanism, soaking seatbelt, rendering it unusable. Could be a potential fatality in case of an accident.

While driving certainly Air bag SRS problem information came up on the dashboard and never went away during my four hours of driving. I know this is a safety issue and so many accident happened before for failure of the air bags and people died. I though I should inform to NHTSA about this safety issue. I contacted the dealer and take my car to check this problem.

The fuel door will not open. It appears the fuel door actuator has failed. This can result in being stranded as not able to fuel. Dealer has confirmed and is charging me to fix. Vehicle only has about 33,000 miles on it and is 44 months in service. There were no warning lights, but interesting enough the driver side sliding door does make a grumbling noise like it needs to be oiled. I am having the dealer review this as well.

Under 45 degrees, the back door will not open. The latch is faulty and fails in moderate to severe cold weather. In an emergency where we would need to exit the rear of the vehicle, there’s no way to open the rear door from the inside or outside. It is under 45 degrees for about half the year where I live. It is more than just an inconvenience, it is a safety concern.

My car has had all recommended service completed by the dealership since I purchased my Honda Odyssey in 2018. On 2/18/25, my power liftgate started malfunctioning. An error message beeps inside my car 4 times, every 4 seconds and cannot be manually turned off. I took the car to the dealership and was quoted $7500 to make the repair. My car only has 90,000 miles on it and has passed all of my previous service inspections. Supposedly, water is getting into the rear control module. I have never had water in my car so this is clearly a manufacturer's defect that is allowing water to seep into the rear control module.

There is a major safety issue that has happened a few times now. As I come to a stop, or come out of a stop, the engine stutters and completely shuts off. All electronics stop too. Immediately there is a message flashing “right sliding door problem.” I have to put my foot on the brake and restart the engine to get going again. This recently happened as the red light turned green, and a car almost slammed into me from behind.

- #11644196February 21, 2025VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
FAILING SYSTEM: Cruise control. Attempting to stop vehicle at stop sign, engine raced, vehicle surged ahead, and could not be stopped by braking. Mechanic (not Honda) said fault was in cruise control system--that "CRUISE" was turned on, and even though cruise speed control was not set, the car was attempting to "return" to some set speed. (Normally, braking (or pressing the accelerator) turns cruise speed control off.) Several reports of the same problem appear in prior complaints, though I saw none that identified what my mechanic said was the problem. Has recurred, but not when "Cruise" lamp was on. AVAILABILITY: Yes. SAFETY: Serious, potentially life-threatening problem should the car enter an intersection with cross traffic, or overrun a barrier, or into a vehicle (or anything else) in front. First time it occurred was at the end of a long trip, mostly on the freeway (much on cruise control) but not at the first stop after leaving the freeway. REPRODUCED/CONFIRMED: Not replicated by mechanic--"Random occurrence". INSPECTED: No. WARNING LAMPS: None observed.

Went to leave my house at 8pm and the car was malfunctioning. Blind spot problem, parking sensor problem, road departure mitigation system problem, auto engine idle stop problem . Lights flickering on and off, console lights not working, can’t control heating speed. Light would not stay on as I was driving . I have a couple videos of the malfunction.

- #11643832February 20, 2025ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ENGINE, UNKNOWN OR OTHER
I have had a recurring problem for years that the dealership has been unable to resolve. Occasionally while we are at a stop, and the engine auto off system kicks in, and then I tried to go again, the car stalls completely. Battery tests fine. It does not restart until sometimes after I open and close my driver side door a couple of times which I assume reboots the electrical system in some manner. The car then starts up again and is okay. This is extremely dangerous as it happens in the middle of driving down the road, and the dealership has been unable to identify a solution or what the real problem is.

I have had 3 Power Tailgate modules fail due to water leaks in the rear panel or window of the vehicle. I have had 2 leaks repaired and two modules replaced within a 6 month period (June '24 and December '24). 6 weeks later (Feb 14, 2024) have had the 3 module fail due to water intrusion following a heavy rain.
