At approximately 2 years, 47,000 miles I received a message that I needed to service the transmission soon. I then got a message "Trailer Brakes Disabled Service Required" and another "Service Transmission Now Unable to Shift Soon". I brought the vehicle into my closest GM dealer and they said it is a faulty shift control lever. These are known to have a fault from the factory, but since I am outside of the 36,000 bumper to bumper, they will not cover the cost. It took about 2 months for the part to come in as it was on back order, and now they want $1000 to replace it.

The contact owns a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while driving 55 MPH, the message "Reduced Acceleration" was displayed and the vehicle decelerated quickly, and the contact was forced to pull over to the side of the road. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on several occasions to be diagnosed. During the first visit, the dealer stated that a transmission error code was retrieved and was cleared before the vehicle was returned. During the second visit, the dealer stated that the engine was consuming an excessive amount of engine oil and recommended that the engine be replaced. The contact stated that the message "Reduce Acceleration - Drive with Care" was displayed, and the vehicle went into LIMP Mode. Occasionally, after shifting to drive(D), the engine revved but the vehicle failed to respond, and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 74,200.

While operating my 2024 GMC Sierra EV Edition 1 at approximately 21,000 miles, a "Service Power Steering" warning appeared. Steering effort initially increased and then rapidly progressed to a near-complete loss of power steering assist. The steering wheel became extremely difficult to turn, making anything more than a gradual sweeping turn nearly impossible. I was able to safely exit the roadway into a parking lot. After shutting down and restarting the vehicle, steering assist returned to normal. No crash or injury occurred, but I believe this represents a significant safety risk because loss of steering assist at highway speed could result in loss of vehicle control.

My 2024 gmc sierra 6.2 engine had th recall scope work done on the engine. I was told it passed and they changed the oil to the 0-40. Well apparently that was not the case and the bearings in the drive shaft and whatever holds it together broke.

I purchased a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali VIN # [XXX] on XXX with approximately 18,599 miles on the vehicle. The incidents are identified below in order. 1) XXX, Vehicle engine failure while driving at high speeds, with my daughter as a witness. I Reported the incident to Elder Ford on XXX, and my sales associate told me to take it to GMC for factory warranty. XXX took the vehicle to Central Buick GMC they performed a test that found no codes and replaced the fuel Pump Module from past experiences. They let me take the vehicle home. 2) XXX Vehicle engine failure while driving at high speeds, had to get it towed to the dealer for repair. Again, they found no codes. Had it for 5 days. Made me take it home. 3) Picked it up on XXX , was driving home and the same thing happened while going 70+ mph on the interstate. Stalled again. Drove it back to the dealer and dropped it off again, same day on the XXX. 4) Again, they found no codes and made me pick it up on XXX I was driving home on XXX and the same thing happened- lost complete power while going down the road at 40+ MPH. I had to get it towed the same day back to the dealer where it currently is at. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Vehicle lost power, seemed to slip while pulling hills, Exhaust brake didn't seem to work. Dealer determined cause by DTC P209. Tested injector circuit, found loose terminal tension at injector number 6 connector. Replaced Cylinder # 6 injector connector. Did have multiple warning lights. Also submitting because Service Bulletin 23-NA+027 covered up to 2023. Believe it's an ongoing issue since vehicle is a 2024.

The vehicle experienced a loss of engine power accompanied by a check engine warning light and a “Reduced Acceleration”/reduced-power condition. The exact component causing the malfunction has not yet been determined. The vehicle and any affected components are available for inspection upon request. While driving the truck uphill toward our residence, the vehicle lost significant power and had difficulty maintaining acceleration. The truck stalled several times. The sudden loss of engine power while driving on an incline created a safety risk because the vehicle was unable to maintain normal acceleration and could potentially have stopped in traffic or created a hazard for other vehicles. The problem has not yet been confirmed or reproduced by a dealer or independent service center. The vehicle has experienced the problem while being driven, including the reduced-acceleration condition and multiple stalls. The vehicle will be inspected by a GMC dealer on Monday, September 28, 2026. The check-engine warning light illuminated, and the vehicle displayed a reduced-acceleration/reduced-power condition. The truck subsequently experienced significant loss of power while traveling uphill and stalled several times. These symptoms first appeared on September 14, 15, 22, and 23, 2026.

I am reporting a recurring potential safety defect involving the front fender liners on my 2024 GMC Sierra 3500. The vehicle currently has approximately 10,000 miles. During that time, at least five front fender liners have been replaced across both sides of the vehicle for the same recurring problem. During highway driving, the front fender liners appear to lose their intended shape and rigidity. Portions of the liner deform or move inward and make physical contact with the rotating front tires. The condition has continued to recur despite multiple replacement liners being installed. I am concerned that continued contact between the liner and tire can generate friction and heat and could potentially cause damage to the tire, liner, or surrounding components. Because the condition occurs at highway speeds and involves direct contact with a rotating tire, I believe it represents a potential safety issue rather than simply a cosmetic or durability problem. Replacing the liners with the same components has not permanently corrected the condition. After approximately five liner replacements in only 10,000 miles, I am concerned there may be an underlying issue involving the liner design, material rigidity, mounting method, or aerodynamic forces acting on the liner at highway speeds. I have reported the recurring issue to GMC/dealer service and am requesting that the manufacturer investigate the underlying cause rather than continue replacing the liners with identical components. I am submitting this complaint so that NHTSA has a record of the repeated failures and can determine whether similar incidents have been reported on other 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 vehicles and whether the condition warrants further investigation.

The contact owns 2024 GMC Sierra 2500. The contact stated that while driving 25 MPH and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle decelerated and stopped independently. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and was diagnosed with fuel pump driver control module failure. The contact was informed that the fuel pump driver control module needed to be replaced. The contact associated the failure with Technical Service Bulletin: 24-NA-139 (Fuel Pump Driver Control Module stalling or no-start conditions); however, the VIN was not included in the TSB. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and informed the contact that the vehicle was under warranty. The failure mileage was 54,238.

integrated trailer brake control system goes in and out of working order while towing either one of my trailers. one being a boat trailer and the other being a travel trailer. Have taken to local GMC dealer several times and they changed the rear plug the first time, which did not fix the issue. big safety concern if I can't stop my vehicle and what I am towing. Dealer claims it is most likely trailer issue but both these trailers brakes work perfect when towed with other truck. I see that they are having a big problem with this but they claim my VIN number is not included in the recall. Yet I am having the exact same issues. I get on and off warnings TRAILER BRAKES DISABLED SERVIC REQUIRED 10 to 30 times during a one day drive. And yes the trailer brakes do not work when this happens

2024 Vehicle is part of the massive GMC 6.2L engine recall. The vehicle was called into the dealership on 1/6/2026 (10,437 Miles / 320.9 Engine Hours) for recall evaluation. Testing indicated vehicle was NOT a candidate for a new motor so oil and oil filter were changed to 0W-40 and I was sent on my way. Vehicle started a tapping noise at idle. Dealer advised the next week was the soonest I could be seen so I set up an appointment for Monday 8/31/2026 . I used the vehicle on Saturday [XXX] and while returning home it began making a racket emitting all types of terrible noises. I was only a few miles from the dealer so I limped into the dealship and left the vehicle on their lot. I spoke to the dealership on Monday 8/31/26 and was advised the vehicle would be evaluated later that day. I spoke to the dealership on Tuesday 9/1/26 and was advised the 6.2L engine had failed (13,591 miles) and parts had been ordered. Dealer advised it would probably be 6 - 8 weeks to get the truck returned. I am a trailer boater and also pull a trailer with a side by side. These activities are why I own a truck. Dealer advised I could get a loaner vehicle but that it was illegal to tow a trailer in Illinois with dealer plates. I ended up trading the vehicle for a new truck and suffered a large unplanned expense ( $20,537) as a result. Since the vehicle had failed and was not driveable it was impossible for me to go elsewhere to trade in this vehicle to a competitor. As a result of the failure I feel I was held hostage to buy another GMC. The vehicle did not show any abnormal gage readings or dispaly any warnings. I own a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation. The front upper grille molding/trim has become loose and is separating from the vehicle. The attachment points/clips are no longer securely holding the molding in place. I am concerned that the molding could completely detach while driving, particularly at highway speeds, creating a road hazard for other motorists. The vehicle has not been involved in a collision or other event that would explain the failure. I have photographs documenting the loose molding and believe this is a potential safety defect that should be investigated.

I am reporting a catastrophic engine failure on my GM vehicle equipped with the 6.2L L87 V8 engine. This failure occurred AFTER the official recall remedy (Recall 25V-274/ GM Recall N242494000) was performed on my vehicle, which directly aligns with NHTSA's active investigation under Engineering Analysis EA26005. The recall service was completed by an authorized GM dealership on XXX at 22,489 miles, the vehicle had the L87 Engine Loss of Propulsion recall completed and the PICO L87 Diagnostic Testing was completed and passed with recommended updated oil change to Mobil 1 Supercar 0W-40 (19432866) quantity 8 with 12737081 Filter and Cap Changeout. On XXX, at 26,752 miles, the engine suffered a catastrophic total mechanical failure. While driving, the vehicle experienced a sudden loss of motive power and a complete shutdown with no prior warning of any kind while driving down [XXX] at approximately 45 to 50 MPH. This created an immediate safety hazard on a public roadway. The vehicle was towed to Key GMC in [XXX] where technicians confirmed Engine Seized Up. Spun connecting rod bearings at cylinder 7&8. The vehicle was at the dealership awaiting parts for repair for 65 days due to engine backorder (engine, radiator, starter, cooling lines and miscellaneous parts ultimately replaced). Because this failure occurred after GM's official remedy was implemented, the recall clearly failed to correct the underlying safety defect. I request that NHTSB include this incident in its ongoing evaluation GM's 6.2L engine issues under EA26005. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Battery voltage low and required a jump to start. Advised battery had to much resistance. Drove to dealership. Upon pulling out on to highway without warning sudden engine loss and stalls. Steering column locked and shortly after the brakes locked up making it to where the vehicle could not be moved. This is a major safety issue and WILL lead to a fatality. My drivers side door exposed to oncoming traffic on a highway. 2 tow trucks, multiple technicians to coordinate keeping jumper cables on long enough to keep the brakes functioning to move the vehicle. Once the power was lost the vehicle seized. This happens on an actual interstate or railroad crossing YOU WILL HAVE FATALITIES!! This vehicle needs an immediate recall and pulled off the road! It took 6 hours to get this truck moved! This happens on the interstate or railroad crossing and sits for that duration due to everything locking up people will die as a result!

On 9-5-26 while on interstate 75 going about 75 miles per hour truck started losing propulsion and speed started dropping. No warning light or anything. Navigated over to shoulder turn truck off for about 5-10 minutes and started back. On 9-8-26 on the way from Dr. appt. starting truck up it acted like it didn't want to start but did. Eventually stopped at red light and truck died and wouldn't start. Dash board lighting up and when trying to start the engine would not turn over. No warning light or anything. Truck towed but had to drag on the wrecker due to wheels locked up. On 9-16 GMC advised engine fail and will need replacing at 12,000 miles. VERY UNACCEPTABLE FOR 2024. Truck was bought new in October 2023 with 4 miles. Found out it is a known issue with the 6.2 V8. Be careful. We could have been killed in the flow of traffic and truck losing power with no warning. Couldn't even turn hazard lights on or anything. 18 wheelers coming all around and we trying to navigate to safe spot on the shoulder when we was on the interstate. GMC need to get their stuff together, you are putting people lives is danger. GMC is feeling our anger right now. Who wants a new engine in a $90,000 top of the line truck

driving down the road going to and intersection the dash says I received a Service ESC message followed by a Reduced Acceleration warning on the center display. I also had the forward collision, traction control and check engine lights come on. I also noticed the shudder/jerk. The truck is giving a P060C code and when i was driving it dies in the intersection of the road and will not start back up. puts the computer in a safety mode. I have call my local GM dealer and they did not fix it and it happen twice. I the truck dies in the middle of the road and no way to start's it and if a big rig crashes in to the truck some one or more than one will be hurt or killed
