SummarySome 2025 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may exhibit a rear "Liftgate And Tailgate Ajar" message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) at all times and/or an inoperative power liftgate or tailgate. This may be due to a pinched harness under the 3rd row left-hand seat belt retractor bracket. Inspect the left-hand seat belt retractor bracket prior to starting tailgate and liftgate ajar diagnostics. If a harness pinch is identified, repair as necessary using the wiring and connector repair procedures contained in Cell 005 of the Wiring Diagram. For claiming, use causal part number 14C719 and labor operations 12651D and 12651D45WR.

SummarySome 2025 Expedition and Navigator vehicles may experience a power tailgate not power opening and/or closing with a liftgate/tailgate ajar light on and diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) B1457:29, B1459:29, B17CB:11, B17CB:29, B15E9:11 and/or B15E9:29 stored in the rear gate trunk module (RGTM). If these DTCs have been set in the RGTM, the power tailgate will not open or close when commanded. This may be due to misadjusted tailgate latch(s) preventing the RGTM from receiving input from the latches that the tailgate is latched. To correct this condition, perform the tailgate latch adjustment procedure in the Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 501-03, Steps 12 through 23. Once the adjustment procedure is performed, clear DTCs and retest.

SummarySome 2025 Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with 24-inch wheels from the factory may experience vibrations felt at highway speeds that have been isolated to the wheel/tire assemblies. This may be due to tire flat-spotting. Dealers should refer to Pinpoint Test G located in the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 204-04A, for help with diagnosing this condition. If Pinpoint Test results conclude that any tires require replacement, replace all four tires on the vehicle with the new factory tire design. The new factory tire design can be identified as Goodyear part number 102224387 / Department of Transportation (DOT) alphanumeric code 1M69B JA3R (this can be found on the tire's sidewall). To order for new tire on the Tire Sales Tool website, click on the Search By: Part Number link, located under the Find button > in the Part # field, enter 102224387 > in the Prefix field, Select 9001 / Goodyear / Cooper / Dunlop / Kelly. The previous version of the factory Goodyear tire (DOT 1M69B JA2R) must not be used. Upon receiving the new tires, verify the correct DOT alphanumeric code (1M69B JA3R)

SummarySome 2025 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may exhibit a condition where the instrument panel cluster (IPC) displays an unexpected Watch the Road warning while using BlueCruise with no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored related to the driver-assist systems. This may be due to the steering column tilt angle, driver seat position (height and backrest angle) and/or the software within the driver status monitor camera (DSMC). Replacing components is not expected to resolve this issue. Optimize driver head position by adjusting the steering column tilt angle and driver seat position (height and backrest angle) to ensure the DSMC (mounted on top of the steering column) has a clear view of the drivers entire face from chin to forehead. The driver must view the IPC display above the steering wheel and not be able to see the IPC display through the openings of the steering wheel from the seated position. Provide both Expedition and Navigator customers with a printout of the Lincoln Navigator Owners Manual page titled, Lincoln BlueCruise > How Does BlueCruise Work. The Expedition Owner's Manual is in process

SummarySome 2024-2025 Escape Hybrid/Maverick Hybrid/Nautilus Hybrid/F-150 non-Lightning/F-Super Duty/Bronco and 2025 Expedition/Navigator/Ranger vehicles where customers have installed an aftermarket supplemental braking system may experience a discharged 12-volt battery after recreational towing. This may be due to the supplemental braking system keeping the vehicle awake during brake applications. Advise customers that while recreational towing the vehicle with a supplemental braking system installed, it is recommended to use a 12-volt battery charger connected to a power source external to the vehicle being towed. The Owners Manual is in process of being updated with this information.

SummarySome 2024-2025 Nautilus and 2025 Explorer/Aviator/Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with Ford/Lincoln Digital Experience may exhibit a "Map Source Not Available" message on the instrument panel cluster display (IPC) when using Google Maps via Apple CarPlay®. Google Maps does not yet support displaying the navigation map on the IPC within the Apple CarPlay® environment and this is currently the expected behavior. Replacing or reprogramming the accessory protocol interface module (APIM) will not resolve this condition and no diagnosis or repair is necessary. Inform the customer that a future Google Maps update for iPhone is anticipated to enable this functionality. This update will be delivered directly through the Google Maps app on their iPhone and will not require an over the air (OTA) software update or dealership visit.

SummarySome 2025 Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with one-touch up/down front windows may exhibit a window not responding to one-touch controls, does not open all the way and/or bounces back when using the one-touch close function. This may be due to a calibration parameter in the driver door module (DDM) and/or passenger door module (PDM). To correct the condition, reprogram the DDM and PDM using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. If the symptom remains, refer to WSM, Section 501-11 for normal diagnostics outside of this article. For claiming, use causal part number 14B291 and labor operations 12651D and 12651D4 of the Service Labor Times Standard (SLTS) Manual.

Inform the customers Ford is aware of the concern and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected to be published by 30-Sep-2025. SummarySome 2024-2025 F-150, Expedition/Navigator, Escape/Corsair, Bronco, Explorer, Mustang, Maverick vehicles equipped with a 1.5/2.0/2.3/3.5L EcoBoost engine and built on 01-Oct-2024 and through 31-May-2025 may exhibit an extended crank condition, strong fuel smell in the engine oil, high engine oil level and may have various drivability diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) with an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL). This may be due to an internal fuel leak of the fuel injection pump causing fuel to enter the crankcase and reduce fuel pressure in the high pressure fuel rail. Diagnose this condition using Pinpoint Test HP located in the Workshop Manual, Section 303-04A. If no DTCs are stored in the PCM, proceed from Step HP1 to Step HP5 and continue testing. For claiming, if fuel injection pump replacement is required, use causal part number 9D376 and labor operation code 9543A. If the root cause is identified as anything other than the fuel injection pump, claim the repair outside of this article. Note: Components damaged as a result of this failure mode

SummarySome 2025 Expedition vehicles may require replacement of the rear license plate bulb. During any service in this area such as lamp or bulb replacement, it may be difficult to remove the bulb from its socket. To aid in removal, wrap the rear license plate bulb with a broad piece of strong adhesive tape. Leave extra tape hanging to the side of the bulb to provide more areas to grasp, then carefully separate the bulb from its socket.
