The driver's windshield wiper is not working properly. It seems that the wiper has become loose. I live in Florida and it rain a majority of the time, so this is a issue when it comes to driving everywhere.

I had no heat for a long time, as well as the engine light constantly being on and never knowing why. There was a lag to accelerate. Also it would suddenly overheat and say turn off ac due to overheating, as well as suddenly fluctuate to cold and back to normal. I change the throttle body inlet heater hose to see if that would get it working. It did for a day. Then all over a sudden the same issues started happening. From what I can tell it is an extremely common issue that has not been address yet or had a recall yet....the thermostat. That is the only thing it could be at this point. I am going to try and bleed out the coolant for air again. But other than that it is the thermostat, it is the only thing that covers every symptom and it is an extremely, well documented problem with these types of cars.

There is a consistent plastic burning smell, usually when the AC or heater is on. I have replaced the AC unit, and this still happens. Smoke sometimes appears on the driver's side through the vents. I have taken the vehicle in a few times for this, and they can never find anything. The last repairs I had done replaced wires, pipes, and connectors.

The contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was firm and difficult to depress. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and diagnosed as brake pump failure. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer, awaiting the brake pump part for replacement. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was over the 100,000 miles warranty and that the recall for the brake pump had expired in 2018. The contact owned a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that while driving 62 mph when the contact noticed other drivers flashing their lights, therefore, they decided to pull over to the side of the road. When they pulled over they noticed that there was smoke coming through the vents of the vehicle. The vehicle's touchscreen on the dashboard that controls the radio as well as a few other functions went blank and the actual physical rubber parts of the screen began to melt. The contact turned off the vehicle and got out of the vehicle when the vehicle suddenly caught on actual fire. The fire department extinguished what was left of the fire after the contact's efforts. A police report was filed. The contact had received a burn to their arm. There was no medical attention needed. The vehicle was towed and deemed totaled. The contact had not spoken to the dealership. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 148,000.

My radio was getting hot all the time I had a touch screen the dash would get hot and the glove box on top got hot. The sides of consoles would get hot to. I think my car had no engine shield it only happen when my car was running other ppl with 2014 cruzes say the samething.

The contact stated that after depressing the button to raise the front driver’s side window, a mechanical motor noise was present, and the window would not move and remained stuck in the halfway opened position. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the front passenger’s side window regulator was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were not yet notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 83,000.

My vehicle is available for inspection. As of now and luckily no one has been at risk including myself with my vehicle, I fear this will not be the case anytime soon. I saw there was a recall for my year make and model of car that is not associated with my specific VIN number. I am aware that my car could be connected to the other vehicles and their VIN numbers that are associated with this recall. This could lead to a much better issue if and when we discover that there are other VIN numbers with the same year, make and model as mine. I am getting my car checked tomorrow to get this confirmation. There were no warning lamps that showed, but my car is now making consistent rattling, whooshing, and clacking noises associated with the engine. It is becoming so loud that my fear of it exploding has now become so high.

I have filed a complaint 2 other times on my car from the power train to the electrical and now my radiator. Because of the date of my car, which is one week off, my car doesn't fall under all the recalls that have been made. Everything wrong with my car is a recall including the head gasket! I have paid to fix my car out of pocket every time and now the repair isn't worth fixing because i never know whats going to happen next! Just like every other government agency NHTSA is controlled by the big corporations while the little guy gets screwed over! Times are hard as is now throw in this plandemic and car problems life becomes unmanageable at times.

POWER TRAIN
The transmission is a known issue, so much so they issued a service bulletin. The transmission will give out or shift very abruptly or shift in to neutral without warning and at various speeds. Our specific case was sudden downshift while travelling about 65 mph, then shifted into neutral which turned the engine off causing an abrupt stop then eventual release and had to coast to a stop. We then got a code for transmission code that a mechanic inspected and tried to replace a part they said the code was most likely related to. The mechanic then stated that if this did not fix it, it would require complete replacement of transmission. The independent service provider confirmed that it was indeed related to an internal service notice for GM. They did not give us the related number. We also received a notice to bring the car in for related notice if the car was under certain mileage however they knew our vehicle was over since they do all the service. In research, this is a common problem where Chevrolet is not able to accurately detect, troubleshoot and repair. It is a known issue however we are on the hook for the repair when this is clearly a design issue and a severe safety issue.

The contact's wife had also informed him of the brake failure while she was driving. The dealer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that there was a recall repair for the vehicle under NHTSA Campaign Number: 13V360000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) and that the manufacturer only guaranteed a one year or 20,000 miles for the recall repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that only a free one time repair would be performed. The failure mileage was 99,178.

ENGINE
The o2 sensor blew out of the catalytic converter and the sensor can't be replaced. The threads were basically gone! Took it to a professional and he said he wouldn't even put on a new one(aftermarket) because the Cruze and Sonic's are notorious for having this issue and it would do it again. He said they need to recall these immediately! I only have around 65,000 miles on this vehicle.

My car was stopped at the red light in traffic waiting for the light to turn green when my vehicle was rear ended car dashboard registered that the airbags went off along with smell of the airbag ignition powder however no airbags actually were released
