The contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact initially received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 13V360000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) and the vehicle was taken to the dealer and repaired. After the vehicle was repaired, the contact stated that upon a cold start, extra brake pedal force was needed to stop the vehicle. Over time, the failure worsened as the contact was forced to use the parking brake to stop the vehicle. Two unknown dealers were notified of the failure and informed her that there was no defect with the vehicle. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic who informed her that the vacuum pump was defective. The contact was also informed that the vehicle was still under warranty; however, the dealer informed her that the warranty was closed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and she was provided the same information as the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated the vehicle was overheating and suddenly stalling. The contact had to wait a while for the vehicle to cool down before being able to restart the vehicle to continue driving. The contact stated that the overheating alarm and idle engine chime was audible. The contact stated that the message to turn off the A/C was displayed even though the A/C was not activated. The contact took the vehicle to a certified mechanic who replaced the thermostat and 3 coolant temperature sensors and the housing. The failure persisted. Service Engine indicator came on with message "Engine Hot, AC OFF". This is a 2015 Cruze with the 1.4L engine. This engine has the same water pump as previous models (2011 -2014). General Motors issued a Special Coverage Adjustment-Engine Coolant Leak from Water Pump, Bulletin # 14371B, in January 2015. GM is extending warranty period for 10 years or 150,000 miles. GM is making repairs at no cost to current owners of 2011-2014 Chevy Cruze. This extended warranty coverage and repairs should include 2015 Chvey Cruze owners. Again, the 2015 model with the 1.4L engine has the same water pump and all the same failure symptoms indicatea failed water pump. GM has identified this as a design flaw by issuing the Special Coverage Adjustment-Engine Coolant Leak from Water Pump, Bulletin # 14371B. There is the risk of engine overheat and sudden loss of engine power/ seizing that will occur with a loss of coolant while driving.

When i turn left or right stereo shuts off all my warning lights come on and steering gos out.and sometimes it shuts down.Almost got hit a cause it did this .This is a serious safety issue.Nobody can pin point the problem.then a code says open and close drivers window.If i get killed cause this car does this .and getting worse .chevy will be sued .can you get chevy to repair this possible faulty .problem.may a recall in electric system.

While at red light, stop signs, or transitioning turns, the engine shuts off and does not restart. Sometimes it shuts down when driving at extremely low speeds. This is dangerous because I have had to push the car while transitioning in multipile lane intersections. Luckily others stop and help me push the car to shoulder or convenience gas stations. The battery and spark plugs are new, and the car has plenty of fuel.

As of today, 9/15/22, I have had to replace my coolant housing system 3 times within one year. There is a crack that is constantly in it. Today, while I’m the highway traveling 75 mph, my car overheated and begin to idle on the highway putting myself and others at risk. It wasn’t due to coolant not being in the car, because it was filled this morning(9/15/22). There were no warning signs that my vehicle gave me. It wasn’t inspected since the last time I got the coolant housing fixed in June of 2022.

The cars turbo system fails. This causes a loss of power when accelerating. Pulling out into traffic or merging onto the freeway are all unsafe now as the car suddenly doesn't accelerate. This can cause crashes. I have pulled out and assumed I was at a very safe distance only to have the car not pick up as it usually does. I feel very unsafe.

Additionally, the engine power reduced message was displayed. The contact stated that after receiving message alerts on the instrument panel, the vehicle decelerated to 15-20 MPH. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. I purchased a Car on 8-11& I didn’t pick it up until 8/13 of this year . On 8/14 The electrical went out of my middle Consol starting with the radio and then down to the heating and air-conditioning buttons along with the fact that the windows would not roll down or up . When you use the Bluetooth in the car the AC shuts down and I hear a roaring sound coming from the engine as well as whenever I stop the car just jumps. There is also a sound in the steering wheel whatever it’s turned right to left

Seven recalls!!! Chevy claims there are no recalls for this vin number. 7 is way to many!!! Not to mention their valve covers on this car are terrible, no wonder the engine catches fire, I’ve had it replaced 3 times. I’ve replaced cooling components multiple times an never got any recall notifications from Chevy!!!!!! Please help.
