Technician will need to cycle power to the radio and retest. If the radio starts working advise the customer that we apologize for this inconvenience and that General Motors is working on a permanent solution for this concern. If the radio is still inoperative technician will need to test the power, ground, and circuit 5060 circuits. If no concern with power, ground, circuit 5060 or connections, replace the radio.

The kit contains header connectors that are installed to bypass Media Oriented Systems Transport bus modules. The bypass connector also contains a terminal for verifying Media Oriented Systems Transport control circuit voltages. Technician should review Media Oriented Systems Transport bus description and operation and Diagnostic Trouble Code U0028 diagnostic procedures.

  This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician on the steps to diagnose and repair vehicles that engine overheating, and/or poor heater performance, AC off message, and Malfunction Indicator Lamp illumination. Technician will find Diagnostic Trouble Code P00B7 and/or P2181. Technician will gain access to the water outlet assembly and inspect for flashing or debris. If flashing or debris found in the water outlet assembly it will need to be replaced. Also inspect the upper heater core hose and coolant bypass pipe at the water outlet for a black plug. If plug is found, remove and discard.

Technician will need to inspect the Emergency Trunk Release handle bezel to be positioned incorrectly. Technician should re seat the Emergency Trunk Release handle into the bezel. Any sort of preload on the ETR cable will not allow the latch to release when any of the electric switches are used.
