AS A RESULT, THE MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT (MIL) MAY COME ON EVEN THOUGH THE CATALYTIC CONVERTERS ARE WORKING PROPERLY. IF THE MIL IS ON, A VEHICLE WILL NOT PASS AN EMISSIONS INSPECTION.
