The contact owns a 2023 Audi A4. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle independently accelerated. No warning lights were illuminated. The brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to stop as needed. The vehicle crossed a busy street and drove down an incline. The vehicle jumped a curb and came to a stop at a nearby hotel parking lot. There was no injury sustained. A Police report was not filed. The vehicle was driven to the residence. The vehicle was later towed to the dealer, where a diagnostic test was performed. The dealer found no failure with the vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.

My wife drove back home from work around 5:45 PM EST on March 2, 2026 and parked the car in the garage as always. She parked and turned off the car and got out to check the mail from the mailbox across the street. The music stopped when she turned off the car ignition after putting the transmission in park position and opened the door to get out. She walked to the mailbox and heard a loud bang. She turned around and found the car in the swale between our and our neighbor’s property against our neighbor’s tree. The car drove in reverse by itself without anyone inside it. Our car does not have remote start. She ran to the car and got inside it and turned it on to get it out of the swale. She drove it back into the garage and parked again. She turned it off and waited in the car for few minutes to check. She got out of the car keeping the garage door open and waited for few more minutes before closing the garage door.

The contact owns a 2022 Audi A4. The contact stated that while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle stalled in the middle of the roadway and failed to restart. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the used car dealer where it was purchased. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle with engine failure and stated that there was a hole in the engine block. The contact was referred to an Audi dealer for a diagnostic test. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and it was determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The contact inquired about the cause of the engine failure, and the contact was informed that a thorough diagnostic test had not been completed. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer submitted a claim for Goodwill Assistance to the manufacturer; however, the claim was denied. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V753000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, neither the VIN nor the model vehicle was included. The failure mileage was approximately 51,155.

LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING, LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
While driving southbound on [XXX] near [XXX] in Mississippi, the advanced driver-assistance systems (lane assist and radar) did not operate as designed. At highway speed, the vehicle gave no warnings, no steering correction, and no radar-based intervention prior to a severe crash. This failure of the safety systems placed my life at extreme risk. The vehicle had been properly serviced at an authorized dealer, and there were no warning lights or fault messages prior to the incident. After the crash, nearly all airbags deployed, but the crash data recorder shows abnormal timing information. The Bosch Event Data Recorder (EDR) captured a force of 292 G’s, confirming the severity of the impact. Dash camera footage also documents that the systems failed to intervene before the collision. My primary complaint is not about the airbags but about the malfunction of the lane assist and radar systems and the manufacturer’s refusal to provide the requested reports that would verify the failure. When I requested the radar and lane assist reports from the manufacturer after their inspection, they admitted they would not provide them. Instead, they stated there was no defect. This is unacceptable because the data clearly exists, and withholding it prevents owners from knowing whether these safety systems can be trusted. The fact that these systems failed in a critical moment and the manufacturer is unwilling to disclose the information raises a serious safety concern not just for me, but for all owners of this model. I can provide supporting materials upon request, including dash camera video, the full Bosch crash data report, and correspondence with the manufacturer. My concern is both the malfunction itself and the lack of transparency. Without access to the radar and lane assist data, owners cannot verify that the advanced safety systems they rely on are functioning properly. TIRES
Tires are original equipment. Only 19,000 miles on them. Was told all 4 tires have belt shifts and hop some. Suggested they should be replaced. These tires were great when new but you could tell from driving they were degrading. I'm [XXX] and never had an issue with tires this new. The belt shifting could be a manufacturing issue or hitting to many potholes. I suspect it is a combination of the two. Tire size is 245/40R18. I am writing to report a persistent issue with my 2021 Audi A4, VIN [XXX] . I have been experiencing a noticeable vibration, humming, and shuddering sensation that occurs specifically when turning at slow speeds (e.g., in a parking lot or when making a tight turn at an intersection). This issue has been diagnosed at a dealership, and the diagnostic report from the service invoice dated 07/12/2025 noted "VIBRATION HUMMING SHUDDER WHILE TURNING." The vehicle's mileage at the time was 38,888 miles. Dealership diagnosed this issue as a failing AWD clutch system. I took the car to a different repair shop, and they redirected me to the Audi Technical Service Bulletin (TSB). The symptoms described in the TSB—"vibrations, humming, droning, or rubbing can be heard and/or felt in the vehicle interior... when the steering wheel is turned to full lock"—perfectly matches my experience. TSB Link - [XXX] The vehicle details are: Model: Audi A4 Year: 2021 VIN: [XXX] Current Mileage: 39490 Since this is an issue due to a sub-optimal part shipped by Audi, many other Audi owners are also facing similar issues. Therefore, I want to report this issue to the NHTSA and take action on cars sold by Audi. This issue divert driver attention and is a potential cause of accident while taking the turn as driver may get distracted. I already got my car serviced at Audi dealership but they didn't inform me about this issue while the car was under warranty. Now the car is out of warranty after Apr-2025, I'm facing this issue significantly and dealership is charging close to $5000 to fix the issue. Please let me know what information you require from me to proceed. I would like Audi to place a recall on the car models facing this issue and implement the fix for all owners facing the issue because of faulty part shipped by Audi of America. The instrument cluster has failed per the recall 90VC. Audi issued the recall for every model made in 2021 with the exception of the A3 and A4 and I believe this was a mistake as my instrument cluster has the same failure.

I have a 2021 audi a4 that is also being affected by the instrument cluster failure/recall. My model , a4 was not included but I am experiencing the same failure and this was reported to the dealership. An online search will show just how many people have issues with the instrument cluster. The instrument cluster screen just went out while driving. I have to monitor my functions via the app on my phone. The dealer wants to charge me full price when every other model in 2021 has been recalled for the same issue. The A4 should be added to the instrument cluster recall for 2021 audi.

I leased a 2023 Audi A4 with 0 miles. At ~10,000 miles my car automatically shut down electronically I have photo evidence of this. This happened again recently at ~45,000 miles, I almost got into a severe car accident and possibly died. This happened on the highway driving in the left lane. I tried to remedy this situation before and was ignored by Aud's service center. I am scared I can die on the road and am taking in the car for repeat service tomorrow.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The main instrument cluster is not stable- it tries to start up then crashes. As a result, speedometer, rpm’s, gas tank gauge, etc are not available while driving. The screen displays blank with a red triangle, tries to start up then crashes again. This seems similar to Audi recall campaign 90VC, but for some reason the A4 was not included in the recall, but I’m having similar symptoms with my A4.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING
The vehicle erroneously applies sudden emergency braking (Audi Pre Sense) without conditions warranting system activation. This malfunction occurs at the most dangerous of times, mostly while making left turns. Vehicles behind do not expect the vehicle ahead to suddenly stop which is going to cause an rear-end collision, and the timing for turning across lanes of traffic is leading to the potential front-end collision with opposing traffic. The sudden activation is unbelievably jarring and has caused shoulder and neck pain. This matter has been brought to the attention of the dealer on multiple occasions but codes are not produced for activation and I was told there is no "black box" to look at data history. This issue has been brought to the dealer's attention on 6/1/24, 12/21/24, & 1/2/25. The most recent incident occurred on 4/30/25 at approximately 2:00 P.M. during the same condition of making a left turn.

The vehicle at 13,xxx miles on the high ways, and during stop & go traffic; vehicle begins to tremble, transmission and floor shakes, rpms are higher than normal, abnormal noises coming from engine (screeching), jerking on acceleration on the first gears, rough idle, happens only on highways after 1hr of driving. Can drive over 40 min without any check engine light turning on. No codes come up, while clearly having issues. After a day of being off, car goes back to normal without those issues, just vibrations and pulsing on idle. -happens on Texas highways where vehicle begins to have trouble with acceleration and transmission shakes yet no check engine or error messages appear. -problem has been shown to one Audi dealer while happening and another Audi dealer was able to reproduce the problem. They even noted how vehicle will do all the issues noted above while not providing any error codes or messages. - vehicle has been inspected but all they do is reset software and hand back keys. While issues are still prevalent. - no warning, no over heat or any codes appear on the vehicle. Issues started at 13,xxx miles. Only on long highway or stop and go traffic does it happens

There currently exists a recall (24T-009) on the Continental ProContact GX AO 255/35R19 96H XL tire which was the OEM tire on some MY21+ Audi A4/A5s. The recall was the result of the compound used on the inner and outer edges improperly dissipating heat, resulting in premature wear, and belt breakage. I have a 2023 Audi A4, [XXX] which has the OE Continental ProContact GX AO 245/40R18 97H XL on it, and at 26,500 miles on the vehicle, all 4 of the tires require replacement due to significant wear on the inner and outer edges. All maintenance and service intervals were completed early or on time by the certified Audi Dealer. All 4 tires show normal and safe tread wear with the exception of the inner and outer edges. There are no known mechanical defects or issues with the vehicle, and the ADAS system functions properly and without issue, so there is certainly no alignment issue significant enough for a system fault. I am concerned that the Continental ProContact GX AO 245/40R18 97H XL tires suffer from the same defect as those in NHTSA recall 24T-009 and that if not replaced due to premature wear, will create a risk of injury and death. I purchased a 2024 Audi A4 with 20 miles as a birthday present for my son on 12/20/2023 for $45,028.81 cash, plus traded my son’s 2012 BMW 328i with 22,000 miles and they applied $8,500.00 credit. This is an Atlanta, Georgia Audi dealership. My son drove the car for one week and his salesman had an appointment set for him to bring his car back one week later to add Audi Connect Software to vehicle and my son’s phone. We took his car back to the dealership and they added the software and we left. My son told me several lights starting turning on in his dashboard but he could not take the car back that day because the dealership had closed as we were leaving the dealership. I called the salesman the next morning and he said to bring car back and they would check it. My son could not bring it back until 10 days later on [XXX], because he was sick in bed. His apartment is about 20 mins from the dealership so when he returned his car had 100 miles from only driving the vehicle to and from the dealership those four trips. Oscar in service dept said he needed to leave the car over weekend and they would check it Tuesday [XXX] since that was a holiday weekend, and Oscar gave [XXX] a loan car. Oscar texted my son on [XXX] saying his car had a defective air bag module and that module was causing all the trouble lights to appear on his dashboard, and they could not fix it until 30 days because they had to order part from Sweden. Oscar also said they had to keep the vehicle and it could not be driven until that part was fixed because of all the trouble lights in dash and he wanted to make sure the car would be ok when my son starts to drive it again. I don’t like the fact that the dealer has my son’s car we traded in and they have my full payment of the remaining balance after my trade in was applied to balance of car. Since I bought this car in June 2023, I’ve had two instances where the presence feature malfunctioned when there was no danger of any accident. I’ve had one instance when all of the safety sensors illuminated at the same time while driving. Finally, this past Saturday, my car malfunctioned and died/ turned off while I was driving. It took a minute or so to get the car started. A malfunction notice illuminated. The area traffic is congested, so people honking at me but nobody hit me. Luckily, I was not on the freeway.
