The 2027 Lexus ES enters its second model year with its battery-electric (BEV) variants, the ES 350e and ES 500e, carrying over largely unchanged. These BEV models, first introduced for the 2026 model year, continue to offer a competitive 2027 Lexus ES BEV range, with the ES 350e achieving up to 307 miles of EPA-estimated total driving range. The entire 2027 Lexus ES lineup, including the hybrid ES 350h, features updated interior and exterior styling, a new multi-pathway platform, and the latest Lexus Interface infotainment system.

Powertrain and Range Details

Both the ES 350e and ES 500e utilize a 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery pack integrated into the vehicle floor. The front-wheel-drive ES 350e is powered by a single 221-horsepower permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, enabling a 0-60 mph acceleration in an estimated 7.4 seconds. This model delivers an EPA-estimated 307 miles of range with standard 19-inch wheels, or 292 miles with optional 21-inch wheels.

The all-wheel-drive ES 500e features the same 221-horsepower front motor combined with an additional 118-horsepower rear motor, resulting in a total net output of 338 horsepower and DIRECT4 all-wheel drive. The ES 500e accelerates from 0-60 mph in an estimated 5.1 seconds. Its EPA-estimated range is 276 miles with 19-inch wheels and 272 miles with 21-inch wheels. The DIRECT4 system dynamically adjusts front-to-rear torque distribution for optimized acceleration and handling.

The 2027 ES models share a multi-pathway platform, an evolution of the previous TNGA-K underpinnings, designed to support both internal combustion and all-electric powertrains. Under ideal conditions, AC Level 2 charging takes approximately 7 hours with the onboard 11-kW charger, while DC fast charging can achieve 10-80% in about 28 minutes at speeds up to 150 kW.

The 2027 Lexus ES 350e is anticipated to arrive at dealerships in September 2026, with a starting Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $47,610. Both ES BEV models are available in Premium and Luxury trims. The ES 350e Luxury trim offers an optional Executive package, which includes power-adjustable, heated, ventilated, and massaging rear seats with an ottoman.
