Honda Announces 2026 WMX Season Rider Lineup

American Honda has revealed its roster of four supported riders for the 2026 Women's Motocross Championship (WMX) season, which commences today at the Hangtown Motocross Classic. These athletes will represent three Honda-affiliated teams across the six-round series, aiming for strong performances in the competitive motocross landscape. Honda's 2026 WMX Rider Lineup

Charli Cannon returns to the WMX gate as part of the Quad Lock Honda Racing team, competing on her CRF250RWE. The Australian rider achieved a runner-up finish in the 2025 championship standings, positioning her as a top contender for the upcoming season.

Californian Mikayla Nielsen is set for her third consecutive season with SLR Honda. Nielsen brings a track record that includes three AMA NGPC National Championships, making her a versatile competitor capable of securing wins and podium finishes.

SLR Honda also welcomes Mayla Herrick to its team. The Colorado native was a member of the victorious Team USA at the 2026 FIM Oceania Women's Motocross Cup in March. Herrick will make her WMX debut at round 3, coinciding with her 17th birthday, which is the minimum age for professional racing in the AMA.

Kyleigh Stallings joins Storm Lake Honda Buddy Brooks Racing following an off-season team change. Stallings, a four-time Loretta Lynn's Champion from Oklahoma, finished in the top five in almost every WMX moto last year. She is scheduled to compete in the final three rounds of the 2026 WMX season.

The 2026 WMX Season Structure and Broadcast Details

The 2026 WMX season will consist of six rounds, held in conjunction with selected events of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship. This format integrates the women's series into the broader professional motocross schedule.

A key change for the season involves the race schedule and broadcast. First motos will be contested on Fridays, while second motos will take place on Saturdays. These Saturday races are slated for live broadcast on Peacock, aiming to increase the series' visibility and provide a national platform for the athletes.

Following the opener at the Hangtown Motocross Classic in Rancho Cordova, California, the series will travel to Colorado, Pennsylvania, New York, and Maryland. The championship is scheduled to conclude on August 28 in Indiana. In a further development, the WMX will be showcased during the SMX World Championship Final on September 26 in Ridgedale, Missouri.
