2024-2026 Jeep Compass, Renegade Turn Signal Lever Does Not Cancel

Stellantis has released Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 08-218-25 REV. A, superseding the previous TSB 08-218-25 dated July 18, 2025, to address a manufacturing issue affecting the turn signal lever in certain 2024-2026 Jeep Compass and Renegade vehicles. This bulletin, also released as Rapid Service Update (RSU) 25-139, provides instructions for inspecting and potentially replacing the turn signal lever if it does not return or cancel automatically. This issue primarily affects vehicles built on or after January 03, 2024 (MDH 0103XX) and on or before April 25, 2025 (MDH 0425XX).

It is crucial for owners to note that this bulletin applies exclusively to the South America market and is not applicable to vehicles built for the US market. Owners in other regions should consult their local Stellantis dealer for any turn signal concerns.

Symptoms

Owners of affected vehicles may experience the following:

• "Turn signal lever does not return or cancel."

This means the turn signal stalk will not automatically switch off after completing a turn or lane change, requiring manual cancellation by the driver.

Diagnosis

To diagnose the issue, technicians are instructed to first check if the vehicle's VIN is listed in VIP or the RSU VIN list. If the vehicle is on the list, the repair procedure should be followed. If not on the list but the customer reports the symptom, the repair procedure should still be performed.

The diagnostic steps involve:

1. Starting the vehicle.
2. Activating the left turn signal.
3. Turning the steering wheel fully to the left stop, then back to the center position, and observing if the turn signal lever automatically returns.
4. Repeating the process for the right turn signal.
5. If either the left or right turn signals do not automatically return or cancel, the TSB is applicable. If the Jeep Compass turn signal or Renegade turn signal functions correctly, the bulletin does not apply.

Repair Procedure Summary

The repair outlined in TSB 08-218-25 REV. A involves inspecting the turn signal lever and, if necessary, replacing it. If the turn signal lever does not automatically return or cancel after the diagnostic steps, technicians are to proceed with replacement. The detailed service procedures for removing and replacing the turn signal lever (known as "Comando Indicadores de Direção" in Portuguese) are available in DealerCONNECT/Service Library under reference 5550A12. This procedure also covers vehicles equipped with airbags.

After applying this TSB, it is not necessary to send DID-I or DID-A data.
