2024-2025 Jeep Compass Headlight Fender Gap TSB

Owners of certain 2024-2025 Jeep Compass vehicles may observe an excessive gap between the headlight and the fender. This condition, identified as a result of changes in production methods, is addressed by Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 23-014-25, also known as Rapid Service Update (RSU) 25-049.

Repair Procedure Summary

If an excessive gap is present, the front wheelhouse splash shield is removed to gain access. The top screw on the side fender is then loosened, and the front wheel opening molding is detached using a specialized trim stick. Following this, the front fascia is detached from the fender to access the fender screws. The screws are then loosened, allowing the fender to be aligned with the headlight, and subsequently tightened. Finally, the top screw on the side fender, the front fascia, the front wheel opening molding, and the front wheelhouse splash shield are reattached.

Important Warnings

• If, upon inspection, there is no excessive gap between the headlight and the fender, this bulletin does not apply to the vehicle. In such cases, technicians should use Inspection Labor Operation (LOP) 13-20-01-97 to close the active RSU.
