Brake fluid leaking into the cab floor of 2019 Toyota Tacoma. VIN not listed on NHTSA list. Toyota refuses to believe this is the same issue as recall, as per Yemi at 10:48AM on Sept 18, 2024 Toyota Corporate call 1-800-331-4331. Brake master cylinder diagnosed by independent, non-bias mechanic as: "Diagnosed brake fluid seeping through dust seal inside cabin running down shaft connecting the pedal to assembly, fluid is of consistency of the brake fluid required by system, fluid level is low at this time, if pedal is pumped 5 times and held down there is visible drip from the rod to pedal connection, needs master Cyl. assembly and exhibits same issues and description of fault as set forth in the recall notice. Customer advised to seek manufacturer assistance." Previous examination by local Toyota dealer was fluid leaking from steering column.

The automatic will get stuck in a high gear, making it impossible to accelerate. I was almost hit trying to merge into traffic with the Transmission failing. Going from reverse to drive, the vehicle will "Buck", lurching forward. When at a red light, if the auto start/stop function kicks in, the car will also lurch into gear moving forward.

- #11614713September 15, 2024SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
Twice, while backing out of my driveway, the brakes have locked up. The brakes stay locked until you tap them repetitively for a few minutes. Then the brakes will slowly release while going forward, but only lock up again when put in reverse. The vehicle cannot be driven until the next day, then it performs normally. luckily this happened in my driveway before I got on to the street. When the brakes lock, it is violent, throwing me against the seat back. The vehicle has been to two different dealers, but they could not duplicate the issue. When this happens multiple brake warning messages pop up on the dash. The manufacture has not inspected the vehicle. In fact, when I reported it to them, and sent pictures of the warning messages, they insinuated that the pictures were not from my vehicle. The manufacture stated that they do not consider this a safety issue. I do not feel safe driving this vehicle. If the brakes lock while out on the hi-way it could cause an accident.

I purchased the vehicle new and noticed right away that the transmisson would clunk right away when I put it into gear[ it's an automatic]. I asked the dealership about it and they said it was normal and no issues. Now I'm [XXX] and have owned many cars so.... Anyway, over the years I've asked several times and they say no issue. Now, just this morning, my wife found an article about the issue and Toyota is finally admitting there IS an issue. What can I do? The frame is rusting out substantially. The dealer advised me not to drive because the frame could fail at anytime. I have been driving around unaware of the problem. I could have been killed if the framed failed on the highway. There was no warning light. The Vehicle has been into the dealer and no one mentioned the problem until 08/30/2024. The Vehicle has been maintained and garaged. The vehicle is in good condition and has not been in an accident. I called Toyota and was told I was out of luck because the warranty expired even though the frame problem was Toyotas fault. A truck frame should outlast the engine and the body. I plan to keep the truck for 400,00 miles and my finances are very tight. Toyota is penalizing me because the frame didn't rust out sooner and on Toyotas time frame.

While driving I received numerous system malfunction warnings followed by a message to visit my dealership. While driving into the dealership the vehicle started losing power and engine went into complete failure. It is now at dealership and waiting for it to be inspected. When alerts first went off I was unable to stop because I was on a busy dangerous street.

This vehicle stalled while driving. It would totally shut off. Once at 75 mph no warning just shut off. Had a cylinder misfire according to dealership. On 2 other occasions it shut off while driving. On those occasions I was backing up out of a driveway and driving slow on a drive. So very slow speeds. On those 2 occasions it had engine stall codes according to dealership. I filed a lemon law claim and because it didn’t stall in the 58 miles the tech drove it Tamara Clear from gulf states determined there’s no evidence it stalls despite the local Toyota dealership having stall codes in their notes. Tamara clear also didn’t comply with Arkansas lemon law and respond within 40 days. She took longer because she’s overwhelmed with cases according to her. Each time the vehicle totally shut off while driving it had master warning lights, charging system lights, oil fluid temp lights, all of it. I took pics but Toyota didn’t care about that either Potentially fatal. And they expected me to drive around with a 6 year old in it

The strut blew through the top hat on the drivers side strut assembly/strut mount driving on a state highway. This design has a cast aluminum top hat that bears the dynamic forces and shocks. It can, and in my case, did catastrophically fail. Had failure happened at higher speeds or under other circumstances it could impair controlability at speed. There are no warning lights or sensors available for this problem. Online owner's forums for the new 2024 model year of the Toyota Tacoma (so-called 4th generation) are starting to report this identical failure. The local dealer is replacing the defective components with the same components.
