Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Toyota Tundra, Tacoma Hybrid, Tacoma, RAV4 Hybrid, Land Cruiser Hybrid, Lexus GX550, 2024-2026 Tundra Hybrid, 2025 Sequoia Hybrid, Crown Signia, Grand Highlander, Lexus TX500 Hybrid, Lexus NX350 Hybrid, 2025-2026 Grand Highlander Hybrid, and Lexus TX350 vehicles. The load carrying capacity modification label may display inaccurate added weight values. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2026 Toyota, Lexus, and Subaru Solterra vehicles equipped with a Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) system. Please see the recall report for a complete list of models. A software error may cause the rearview camera to freeze or display a blank screen when the vehicle is in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Toyota Venza, 2023-2025 RAV4 Prime, RAV4, Highlander, GR Corolla, Crown, 2024-2025 Lexus TX, LS, Toyota Tacoma, Grand Highlander, and 2025 Lexus RX, Toyota Crown Signia, Camry, RAV 4 Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV), and 4 Runner vehicles. Due to an error in the instrument panel software at vehicle startup, the instrument panel may fail to display vehicle speed, brake system, and tire pressure warning lights.
The contact owns a 2026 Toyota Crown Signia. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 20 MPH, a neighbor's dog darted into the street. The contact depressed the brake pedal, and the Pop Up Hood system deployed without contact with the animal. The Pop Up Hood system was designed to raise the hood automatically to absorb and reduce the impact energy on a pedestrian's head and chest. The hood could not be closed after deployment. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the hood lifters required replacement outside of warranty coverage, and an estimate was provided. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and assigned a case number. The vehicle remained in the dealer's possession unrepaired. The failure mileage was 2,318.

This has to do with the lane departure system. When on unmarked roads with the lane departure system turned off the car still pulls the car. Sometimes to the center of the road. The steering can be overcome by countering the departure system but we must be very vigilante so as to not let the car steer itself. I informed the dealer about the problem and they told me it was normal. I think there is a software problem or something.

At approximately 6,700 miles, a rock/road debris passed through the large openings in the factory front grille of my 2025 Toyota Crown Signia XLE Hybrid and punctured the A/C condenser behind the grille. The A/C system lost refrigerant and stopped cooling. A Toyota dealer inspected the vehicle, confirmed the punctured condenser, and replaced it. Availability of the removed component for inspection is UNKNOWN. The safety issue became apparent while driving in rain, when the windshield began fogging and the failed A/C system could not effectively dehumidify the air and clear the windshield, reducing forward visibility. There were no warning lamps or messages before the failure. The first symptoms were loss of A/C cooling and difficulty keeping the windshield clear in wet conditions. Toyota Motor North America was notified and opened case #260914001661 regarding this incident and my concern about the front-grille/cooling-component vulnerability. The grille openings are approximately 1-3/8 inches, and the condenser is about 9 inches behind the grille with no fine debris screen protecting the exposed cooling components. I am concerned that this design permits ordinary road debris to reach and damage vulnerable heat exchangers. The Crown Signia Hybrid uses a similar front-end cooling-stack arrangement to the Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid, with the A/C condenser, engine-cooling radiator, and hybrid/inverter cooling components in the airflow path behind the grille. My incident demonstrates that debris can penetrate the Crown grille and reach at least one heat exchanger. If debris instead strikes a coolant-carrying radiator or hybrid/inverter cooling component, the result could be more serious. NHTSA is currently reviewing a similar road-debris/cooling-component concern involving Toyota Grand Highlander vehicles under Defect Petition DP26006. I am submitting this incident so NHTSA can determine whether the Crown may share a similar vulnerability.
