SummaryAudio Control Unit Reprogram Voluntary Service Campaign Dealer Announcement: Nissan has reclassified the previously announced quality action (PM984) for new vehicle inventory as a Voluntary Service Campaign to reprogram the Audio Control Unit on 17,171 specific 2021 Sentra vehicles identified in Service Comm and DBS National Service History. Due to a program logic concern, certain vehicles may have been manufactured with an Alliance In-Vehicle Infotainment (AIVI) system software that allows the AIVI system to continue drawing current after the vehicle is shut off. This event may occur when the operator turns off the ignition followed by some operation (i.e. brake pedal pressed, door locked, etc.). These types of sequences causes the AIVI system to âwake upâ and the system will not return to âsleepâ mode until another ignition on-off cycle occurs. If this event occurs, the customer may experience a discharged battery and if the vehicle is not restarted within 46 hours, the battery may completely discharge resulting in a no start condition. Affected vehicles are not subject to stop sale and are either currently in dealer inventory or assigned and in transit to the dealer. What Dealers Should Do: 1.Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History â Open Campaigns I.D. PM991. 2.Dealers are requested to remedy any affected vehicles in dealer new or pre-owned inventory to ensure customer satisfaction. â¢New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). ï§Refer to NPSB15-460 for additional information 3.Dealers should use NTB21-066 to correct any vehicles subject to this campaign.

SummaryCOMBINATION METERS CANNOT BE SWAPPED SERVICE INFORMATION Do not swap combination meter modules between vehicles for any reason in the APPLIED VEHICLES. Due to a new electrical architecture, the vehicle mileage is now stored in multiple control modules. When a mileage difference is detected between modules, the module with the lower value will be immediately overwritten, replacing it with the higher mileage. If a new combination meter module is installed, it will automatically be overwritten to the correct vehicle mileage.

SummaryAudio Control Unit Reprogram Dealer Inventory *****Dealer Announcement***** Nissan is conducting a quality action to reprogram the Advanced In Vehicle Infotainment (AIVI) control unit with updated software on 6,519 specific model year 2021 Nissan Sentra vehicles. Due to a program logic concern, the audio system does not sleep after receiving a message to âGo to Sleepâ from the Body Control Module (BCM). As a result, the standby current becomes high causing the battery capacity to be gradually discharged, which may result in the customer unable to start the vehicle. Affected vehicles are subject to stop sale and are either currently in dealer inventory or assigned and in transit to the dealer. *****What Dealers Should Do***** PLEASE FOLLOW THE ATTACHED INSPECTION INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this quality action using Service Comm or DBS National Service History â Open Campaigns I.D. PM984 ⢠New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). ï§ Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information ⢠Please continue to check newly arriving inventory for campaign applicability. 2. Please do not drive, loan, sell or trade the specific vehicles in dealer inventory subject to this quality action. 3. Dealer must use the attached procedure to update the software for any vehicles affected by this quality action. 4. The service department should submit the applicable warranty claim for the action performed to close the campaign on Service Comm and release the vehicle.
