I have had to replace my rear brake pads and machine rotors at 15k and 28k miles. I’ve never had to replace my front brakes- the issue is not my driving. I was told not to use my lane assist b/c it wears brakes and have t ever used. In addition the seatbelt warning dings while driving with no person nor anything on the seat. I have to pull off the freeway, turn the car off and restart it to stop the dinging.

- #11750878July 16, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, VISIBILITY/WIPER
The defect involves the outside side mirrors and the reverse-tilt function. When the vehicle is shifted into Reverse, a mirror normally tilts downward as designed. However, after shifting back into Drive or Park, the mirror intermittently fails to return to its previously stored driving position. Sometimes it returns correctly, sometimes it returns only partway, and sometimes it does not return at all. When the failure occurs, the mirror remains pointed downward and significantly reduces rearward and adjacent-lane visibility until I manually readjust it. This creates a safety risk because the mirror may appear to have returned to its normal position when it has not, leaving the driver with impaired visibility after completing a reverse maneuver. The problem is intermittent and has been reported to and evaluated by Nissan dealerships. The vehicle and mirror system remain available for inspection upon request. There are no warning lamps or dashboard messages associated with the failure. The primary symptom is the mirror’s failure to consistently return to its stored driving position. Because of the inconsistent operation, I have disabled the reverse-tilt feature to prevent the mirror from unexpectedly remaining in an unsafe downward position. However, disabling the feature eliminates the additional downward visibility Nissan designed it to provide while reversing. This is not a satisfactory resolution. I am forced to choose between the risk of impaired rearward visibility after reversing and the loss of the enhanced visibility intended to assist during reverse maneuvers. The system does not operate as designed and creates an avoidable visibility and safety concern.

There are 2 antifreeze lines going to the back of the vehicle, they are to cool the 3rd row seats using air conditioning. Both lines were incorrectly designed so they have a repetitive failure rate of 100%. Both lines failed in March of 2025 and were replaced by Serra Nissan of Traverse City, MI. Both lines failed again and were confirmed by the dealer yesterday on 7-1-26. The first failure occurred at 8,401 miles. The second failure at 16,742. Anti freeze is spraying on the brakes of the rear passenger area, a major safety issue. Nissan does not want to spend the money to redesign the failed part design so they reinstall the same failed antifreeze lines with every repair. There is a 5 MONTH WAIT for new parts to arrive due to the massive quantity of failures. No warning lights appear during these repetitive failures. The failures are visible, you can see the antifreeze leaks all around the rear brake. And the air conditioning stops functioning in the car. Serra Nissan is very upset that Nissan Inc. is refusing to correct the failed design of the part. So the failures will occur forever.

The contact owns a 2024 Nissan Pathfinder. While the vehicle was parked, the contact became aware that coolant was on the garage floor. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed with a coolant line leak with coolant going back to the third-row seat, and the leak was near the passenger’s side rear tire. The contact was informed that the coolant lines needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred 15 months later. The contact stated that during the failure, the vehicle was being driven at an undisclosed speed, and the A/C unit failed to operate as intended. The vehicle was taken to the same dealer where it was diagnosed, and determined that the coolant lines were leaking and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 8,000.

I am reporting premature and abnormal tire wear on two consecutive Nissan Pathfinder vehicles (2022 and 2024 models). In both cases, tires required replacement at low mileage (approximately 20,000–25,000 miles) despite normal driving and proper maintenance. My 2022 Pathfinder also experienced brake-related issues, which raises additional concern about potential underlying defects. The repeated pattern across multiple vehicles suggests a possible defect involving alignment, suspension, or braking systems. Premature tire wear presents a safety concern, as it can reduce traction, increase stopping distance, and raise the risk of tire failure or blowout, particularly at highway speeds. A Nissan dealership has confirmed the abnormal tire wear and recommended replacement, and previously acknowledged there may be known issues contributing to this condition. However, the issue continues to be classified as “normal wear and tear,” and no corrective action has been taken. There were no warning lights or messages prior to the issue; it was identified during routine service inspection. The vehicle and affected components are available for inspection upon request. I am requesting an investigation into whether Nissan Pathfinder vehicles have a defect contributing to premature tire wear and associated safety risks.

Bought new 2024 Nissan Pathfinder, 20 months and 16,000 miles later I need new brakes and rotors. It was in for service at the 12 month / 10,000 mile mark and the rear brakes read 8/32nds. 8 months and 6,000 miles later my rear brakes are at 1/32nds and 2/32nds. I was told it was normal wear and tear.

Hi ! I just purchased the 2024 Nissan pathfinder SL on March 13th , 2026 . Three days later I noticed a slight vibration to the car . I was told it was the mount they’d replace both mounts . Get the car from getting the mounts replaced , & when I went to leave with the “ repaired “ the car sounded horrible while in Reverse. It was a loud sound more than just a vibration. I immediately went into the dealer and they said they’d replace the other two mounts . Fast forward to that appointment, I get a call it needs a new motor . I’m not sure the mileage on the vehicle but it’s less than 46k . The mechanic shop in Macon , Ga has had the car two weeks. They replaced the mount close to the transmission with a OM mount , said the previous one was a defective mount . Now they have no clue what is wrong with the car . This car is so “ new “ to be having these issues. So now I’m waiting to hear what the next steps are on this car . Such a beautiful vehicle truly ! I just don’t know if this mount / transmission is going cause me issues nonstop within the car .

Issues with alternator, oil leakage, and currently the transmission. After sitting idle for 10 to 15 minutes transmission will not shift out of first gear. It has become dangerous to drive the vehicle due to not being able to properly accelerate resulting in the possibility of being hit if driver pulls into traffic. The vehicle has been taken to local Nissan dealership several times without the issue being resolved. Currently, the dealership has had the vehicle for over 30 days and still has no solution for fixing the issue. Vehicle has less than 13,000 miles on it. When the transmission problem began the vehicle had less than 8,000 miles on it. Other issues with the vehicle began when vehicle was only a few months old and had less than 4,000 miles.

My Pathfinder has 19798 miles and I was informed that the brake pads are 3mm or less need replaced and the rotor resurfaced. The front brakes are at 7mm at the same mileage. I do not tow anything and use for city and highway driving. My complaint is that at this rate I will have to change my rear brakes twice as often and have them inspected more often. The cost for brake replacement at twice the rate of front brakes is 2x. I am concerned that there is a design flaw that can lead to rear brakes failing if I do not have them inspected twice as often as the front brake wear. Typically the front brakes handle 60-70% of the breaking force due to weight transfer. If the rear brake pads are wearing out before the front brake pads, and the rotors need resurfaced it seems that heat buildup due to increased brake wear is affecting the rotors. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The contact owns a 2024 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that upon taking the vehicle to the dealer for a routine oil change, the contact was informed that the driver’s and passenger’s side rear brake pads and rotors were severely worn and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that due to the low mileage, the brake pads and rotor should not need to be replaced. The contact stated that there were no issues with the brakes prior to the visit. Upon investigation, the contact discovered that there was a class action lawsuit pending against Nissan for the 2022 and 2023 Nissan Pathfinders due to premature brake pad wear. The class action suit stated that numerous owners of similar vehicles had complained that the brake pads were prematurely worn between 20,000 - 30,000 miles, as opposed to the average 50,000-60,000 mile range. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the failure was caused by normal wear and tear. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 19,000.

Hello, My name is [XXX] . I need your help!! I bought a 2024 Nissan Pathfinder from Carvana for $41,000.00 at the end of November 2025 I reported some minor damage at the time we picked up the vehicle at Caravan [XXX] . Never heard back. I've only owned this car for 4 months and now the brakes have been screaming and my dashboard is lit up like a Christmas tree!!! All the tires are bald and the air conditioner does not work!!. Ughhh. I was on the phone with Carvana this morning for almost 2 hours.. And ultimately there nothing they can do for me. One the 7 days of course is over the 100 day coverage is gone. I purchased xtra coverage but of course that doesn't cover anything that is wrong with the car... The car has been towed to a shop.. Waiting to hear what the bill is gonna be Yikesss!! HELP!!! I FEEL I HAVE BEEN SOLD A LEMON!! I'm not asking for anything just to repair this vehicle as it should have been before I bought. Selling a vehicle that is less than 2 years old in this condition is not good business practices. This is not right. Hope you can help Sincerely, [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
