Electric Intake Valve Timing Control (eVTC) Module Dealer Inventory ***** Dealer Announcement ***** Nissan is conducting a quality action to replace the electric intake Valve Timing Control (eVTC) module with a control module containing updated software on 2,194 specific MY2018 Nissan Pathfinder vehicles in new vehicle inventory. This quality action is limited to the following cold weather states: AK, CO, CT, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, ME, MI, MN, MT, ND, NE, NV, NY, OH, PA, SD, UT, VT, WA, WI, and WY. The current software installed may incorrectly illuminate the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) if certain cold start conditions are met. Affected vehicles are not subject to stop sale and are either currently in dealer inventory or assigned and in transit to the dealer. Nissan requests dealers to remedy all affected inventory vehicles prior to sale to ensure customer satisfaction. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** PLEASE FOLLOW THE ATTACHED REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this customer satisfaction initiative using Service Comm or DBS National Service History ? Open Campaigns I.D. PC624 - New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). - Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information - Please continue to check newly arriving inventory for campaign applicability. 2. Use the attached procedure to replace the electric intake Valve Timing Control (eVTC) module. - Nissan has developed and automatic parts shipment to provide affected dealers with enough parts to repair 50% of their affected inventory. Parts will begin arriving at dealerships on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. - A second automatic parts shipment will arrive at dealers the week ending May 25, 2018. 3. The service department should submit the applicable warranty claim for the action performed so it can be closed on Service Comm and release the vehicle.

NISSAN; SERVICE INFORMATION FOR DTCS B2EF0 AND B130C This bulletin applies only to vehicles equipped with Telematics. SERVICE INFORMATION Diagnostic information in the Electronic Service Manuals (ESM) for the following DTCs may be missing or incorrect: -B2EF0 ? INTERNAL BATTERY (CIRC VOLT BELOW THRESHOLD) -B130C ? TCU (Telematics Control Unit) PAIRING ERROR If one of these DTCs is stored, follow the steps listed below along with the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) to compete the required repairs. DTC B2FE0 ? INTERNAL BATTERY (CIRC VOLT BELOW THRESHOLD): 1. Start the engine and let it idle for 30 minutes (to allow charging of the TCU internal battery). -2018 LEAF only: Put the vehicle in Ready to Drive mode (depress the brake pedal and depress the power [?ignition?] switch) for 30 minutes. 2. Verify the DTC can be erased. 3. If the DTC will not erase, replace the TCU. DTC B130C: 1. Collect all keys, and then re-register them to the vehicle. 2. Verify the DTC can be erased. 3. If the DTC will not erase, replace the TCU. NOTE: The related Electronic Service Manuals (ESM) will be updated at a later date. CLAIMS INFORMATION Refer to the current Nissan Warranty Flat Rate Manual and submit a claim for the repairs performed.

NOTE: If any VTC DTCs other than P34A5 and/or P34A9 are also stored (example: P0011, P0021), those DTCs should be diagnosed and resolved first. ACTION Replace the electric intake valve timing control module (see Figure 1 on Page 2). -Electric intake valve timing control module is listed in the Parts Information of this bulletin. -Refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM), section ENGINE > ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM, for replacement information. -Make sure to perform Electric IVT Control Actuator Position Learning after replacement of the module.

ADAS SYSTEM DTC C1A03, C1A04, AND/OR C1B01 SERVICE INFORMATION This bulletin applies only to vehicles equipped with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) or Forward Emergency Braking (FEB). SERVICE INFORMATION If the following ICC/ADAS codes are stored, make sure to follow the diagnostic procedures in the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) before replacing any parts. C1A03 ? VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR -The diagnostic procedure in the ESM includes check and, if needed, repair for ABS DTCs before replacing ADAS components. -If repairs are performed for the ABS system; when compete, perform DTC Confirmation Procedure again before doing any additional repairs. C1A04 ? ABS/TCS/VDC SYSTEM -The diagnostic procedure in the ESM includes check and, if needed, repair for ABS DTCs before replacing ADAS components. -If repairs are performed for the ABS system; when compete, perform DTC Confirmation Procedure again before doing any additional repairs. C1B01 CAM AIMING INCMP -The diagnostic procedure in the ESM includes check and, if needed, repair for LANE CAMERA DTCs before replacing ADAS components. -LANE CAMERA DTC may require adjustment of the lane camera. -If repairs/adjustments are performed for the Lane Camera; when compete, perform DTC Confirmation Procedure again before doing any additional repairs.

NISSAN; INTELLIGENT KEY IDENTIFICATION AND REGISTRATION TIPS This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with Intelligent Key only. SERVICE INFORMATION When replacing or adding an Intelligent Key, it is very important to make sure the correct Intelligent Key is selected from the parts department. - A running change was made that will help identify the correct Intelligent Key. - Beginning in late 2017 and early 2018 the last five digits of the Intelligent Key part number is marked on the Intelligent Key under the mechanical key. - See page 2 for location images of this part number addition. NOTE: - A correct Intelligent Key may or may not have the last five digits of the part number as shown on page 2. - The above running change was applied as a ?help? to identify the correct Intelligent Key for a given vehicle, but the actual part number listed in the parts catalog did not change. - Make sure to use the electronic parts catalog (FAST) or equivalent to confirm the correct Intelligent Key for a given vehicle.
